UFC 103 tickets for American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on Sept. 19 for sale soon

Tickets for UFC 103, which is slated for the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on Sept. 19, will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, July 18 at 11 a.m. ET.
UFC Fight Club members and UFC Newsletter subscribers, naturally, will be able to scoop up tickets prior to them being available for public consumption.
UFC 103 is expected to feature Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg, as well as a heavyweight tilt between former PRIDE superstar Mirko Cro Cop and surging heavyweight prosepct Junior Dos Santos. In addition, Martin Kampmann and Mike Swick will collide to determine the number one contender for Georges St. Pierre’s 170-pound title.
Also slated for the main card is former lightweight champion Sean Sherk as he tries to get back to his winning ways against Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Gleison Tibau. The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) standouts Efrain Escudero and Cole Miller are also expected to hook ‘em up.

This card needs some colour like a diego, kongo, or wanderlei silva! everyone here has zero charisma or intimidation im not really frightened or excited by any of these fighters! sure swick has fast hands but the davis and burkman fights still haunt me to this day!

I don’t know how anyone could want to see Sherk/Tibau on the main card over Efrain/Miller.. Sherk fights always go to decision and are usually boring.. Miller vs, Efrain will not last the time, and will bring twice the entertainment Sherk/Tibau could possibly deliver..
It’ll be interesting who the plan to put in there with Rich. I know a lot of people think it will be Cane but he’s not well known to the casual fan and it might be hard to sell him as a main event. This card has some interesting fights but they really need to put together a solid main event if they want to sell this on PPV. Franklin is a solid draw but they need to give him a recognizable opponent. I’d love to see Franklin/Liddell but I know Liddell is going to sit out a year. They better hurry up and pick someone though so they can get a camp going soon.
I would love it if they put Luis Cane against Franklin!!
I do agree though, on the ‘casual fan’ perspective. All the ‘big named’ LHW’s are booked. How about Coleman/Franklin? I don’t know how good that would do.
Me personally, I would rather see Franklin/Cane or even Franklin/Jones, but neither would sell like a Franklin/Liddell.
Plus they are still trying to build Efrain up since he won TUF.
And Sherk/Tibau are both coming off losses.
A great idea for a main event that could sell some ppvs would be:
Rich Franklin vs. Vitor at a catch weight of 195 lbs. I fully expect Vitor to sign with the UFC shortly after his affliction 3 battle with Santiago. Vitor would be perfect to headline this card against Franklin but there is only about 6 weeks between affliction 3 and UFC 103, and I dont know how realistic that would be too ask Vitor to take that fight. Also, I wouldnt be surprised if there is a clause in Vitor’s contract that doesnt allow him to sign with another organization for at least 30 days after his affliction contract expires. since vitor is a long shot, this is how I hope the main card ends up looking:
Rich Franklin vs. Banha Cane
Cro cop vs. Dos Santos
swick vs. Kampman
Koscheck vs. Trigg
Hermes Franca vs. Tyson Griffin
THats a solid televised line up right there!
Tell Dana to build up Efrain on his own time and dollar (ufn events or tuf finale’s). I dont want to see any TUF Newbies on my ppv cards that I have to dish out $50 for!
I was hoping to see Vitor on this card too John, but it’s a long shot. Look for him too debut at 106 or the UK-based 105 card. Also, consider the Escudero/Miller fight pretty much guaranteed to be on the main card. They’ve never relegated a TUF winner to the undercard for his first PPV fight. Maybe they’ll show six fights like they did for 99.
On a side note, I think they should match Jon Jones up with Vera after Vera wrecks Hammill. That would be an awesome fight and a great test for Jones. The winner of that fight would be a new face in the upper echelons of the 205 division.
i dunno man vera hasnt looked that impressive at 205 ( sept for his last fight against a noname) but hammill might take it from him
Vitor would be an awesome addition to the UK card, I’m still gutted that Bisping blew it against Hendo because that cost me the chance to see Anderson Silva fight live but seeing Vitor’s return to the UFC (once he gets past Santiago) and some other big names like Wandi would make up for that.
This card is similar to most of the UK cards, where there are some big names like Cro Cop and Franklin but no marquee fights, however it will probabaly end up being one of the better shows of the year. Most of the underwhelming cards on paper turn out to be exciting shows (78 was the obvious exception) whilst some of the high profile cards are disappointing like 94, so I’m not dismissing this until I’ve seen it. Personally I think that Cro Cop-Dos Santos would be a more marketable main event than Franklin-Cane but both should be great fights. Add Koscheck-Trigg and the card doesn’t look too bad, considering how stacked 101, 102 and 104 all are I’ll take a weaker card on paper.

If Franklin headlines the card, I may think about ordering, but other than that I’m gonna pass. The only thing remotely interesting would be finding out who the next one against GSP is.
Swick/Kampmann is a just-confirmed #1 contender fight.
The winner of this fight gets the honor of getting completely dominated by GSP.

Actually, if Franklin/Cane is added, there’s three terrific stand-up fights with big implications – the other two being Swick/Kampmann and Cro-Cop/Dos Santos. If that fight is added, I’m sold.

I tore a muscle in my Abdutor before. If it is a lateral tear it needs surgury but if it is a bilateral tear they can fix it with cordizone and spot injections of growth homones. To make the muscle grow back inside the tare isentuly filling it.

IMO, if you add in cro cop/Dos Santos and Franklin vs TBA as the MAIN, PLUS these fights (which we’d probably get to see them all) then you’ve got yourself a POTENTIALLY exciting PPV!

Cro Cop vs. Dos Santos has already been announced by Dos Santos management team, and while I don’t think they’ll add the speculated Franklin vs. Cane fight, that would make it an amazing card. We don’t always get the stacked cards that we had last weekend. From a true fans perspective these seem like very evenly matched card, adn evenly matched fighters make for good fights. My point: At least wait until the final line-up is set before you start bitching about weak cards. It makes you all sound like spoiled “TUF” generation brats.

I’m in Dallas and I’m going to this event because heck, it might be another 3 years before the UFC comes back to Texas and its not like they are gonna do big numbers with this card, HOWEVER, I would love to see Cro Cop fight live and I’m looking forward to seeing Dos Santos and Cro Cop go at it. Franklin and Cane doesn’t sound thrilling, but hey, at leat I’ll possibly get to see Frankling fight live as well. The last MMA fights I saw in Dallas was at the Art of War II show back in March 2007 at the AA Center as well, and thats been too long! Looking forward to going to my FIRST UFC event even though it might not be the best card on paper, but those usually turn out to be the sickest fights! I got my fingers crossed!
I was really let down to hear that Chuck wasn’t fighitng Franklin on this card…I know Chuck’s been on a skid lately, but he’s my favorite fighter and I thought he actually had a good shot against Franklin, who I couldn’t see knocking Chuck out, but then again, I also couldn’t see Rashad KOing Chuck and look what happened… oh well, long live the Iceman! and hopefully this card turns out with decent action!
