Is it just me or does Kenny look scared ALL the time?

I like Florini. Intelligent guy, extremely talented all-around fighter. I’m betting on BJ on August 8th … but the non-gambling part of my mind, the part that is not cold and soulless, is rooting for Kenny.

alright guys, UFC 101 is now upon us and as most of you know, 15or 16 maniacs have a luxury box for this event. We are also planning to have a nice dinner friday night followed by some gentlemanly fun! If you want to join us for dinner (either Ruth’s Chris or capitol grill) please email me! I bet on Florini b/c I think he has a decent shot. Having said, that I don’t know how this fight will go. I’m assuming Kenny will come in with a stellar game plan. If he doesn’t, he won’t have a chance.
What could the gameplan be though? All I can think of is keeping his strikes very mixed and never let BJ get in a boxing rhythm.

Hahaha…Rocky 3 prediction. I thought he was going to say tire him out…Instead he went with “PAIN”…This guy is a great personality but I don’t know if he can get it done. This fight is up in the air for me. If Kenflo can wear BJ down in the first round or two Kenny can pull it out.
Florian is the dark horse of the UFC. He has been focused, dominant, & harnessed an amazing killer instinct for the last three years. He will beat B.J. Penn.

On paper and in the octagan are two different things, especially with someone as versatile and skilfull as Florian, whos skill as a fighter, although not equal on paper, is definately as effective.If he lands on top of BJ and delivers elbows like Quarry did to McDonald, then just like McDonald, he is going to be in deep sh@t. I am a fan of both BJ and Kenny, but I am going for Kenny in this one. I think he has all the tools the intelligence to take out BJ. Although BJ will be stronger, as long as it is not equal to or exceeding Sherks then I do not see it being a factor. I think that BJ will have undestimated Florian, and will definately tire more than Kenny in the later rounds. Looking forward to it

My prediction is for a very methodical, tactical fight on Kenny’s part in rounds 1 and 2. Almost Machida like. Than turn it up in round 3 hoping BJ will tire out.

Kenny has a stong shot at winning the belt … if that happens, expect BJ to leave UFC .. he is not one of those fighters who get pumped after the defeat to take the revenge.. just my opinion.

& Bj is a hero to us.
Hawaii will never produce another fighter the caliber of Bj Penn.
He has all the talent in the world, but lacks the drive & motivation.
Hopefully he comes in this fight with all he has cuz florian does have a good chance of taking this.
no way bj even wins a round, no motivation, drive or dedication, hawaiians are problably some of the most unmotivated and laziest people on earth.
drive n motivation is key to any success. If u stay in the same circles, train and think in the same patterns then inspiration won’t flow and will stagnate. If one takes himself outside his regular circles and pattens of thinking, they may find upon returning to those very same disciplines with a new perspective and find inspiration in re-invention. seek n u will find my brother
