I really enjoyed the GSP/BJ Primetime special and was hoping to see another one for 100…guess not
UFC 100 has too many big name fighters to run a primetime special devoted to 2 fighters.
Though Machida vs Silva did end up being a coming out party, I dont think you can argue that it was anticipated as much as GSP-Alves is. Even Bisping-Hendo has a pretty big build up due to them being TUF coaches.

the 100 card is bigger than anyother card since ortiz/liddell – couture/liddell.. esp. cause it’s 100 and the fan expo is on friday
Yeah I think the new years UFC card last year was bigger than the liddell vs ortiz and couture. Didn’t end up being that great of a card but the matches were good in theory lol
the last new years UFC wasn’t bigger than Ortiz vs Liddell II…. but it was a better card than UFC 100 on paper as was UFC 84!
BJ/GSP are two top five P4P fighters, hence why they get the special. I agree that Silva/Machida was very anticipated but thats only for hardcore fans who knew who both fighters were. For the average guy, that should have just been an undercard fight.

why they had the special is because the two of them are well-known superstars and that the undercard for that event s’cked there were no real big names at all, GSP/BJ carried that whole card!…

Kevin you are an idiot if you picked bj over florian, even gsp predicted florian will be the new champ. florian is vastly improved, he has a way better overall striking game than BJ, and much more reach. He will implement use his great footwork, and much greater reach to keep bj away, and pick him apart. also from training with gsp, i expect him to mix taking bj down, to keep him off balance and use his great elbows, and gnp to beat up some more on BJ. Say goodbye to your money.

only a fool would bet money on bj, him being a favorite, makes betting on kenny a no brainer, he has evolved way past bj, and it will be painfully clear to bj, that its time to retire after he loses this fight. I was laughing all the way to the bank, last fight, when gsp was only around -200 when he fought bj. I knew it would be one of the worst mismatches in the history of the UFC, and that bj wouldnt win a round.when he fights kenny, i see bj winning one round at the most, and will not be suprised if bj doesnt win a single round. I think after this fight, delusional bj fans will finally realize bj isnt anywhere as good as they think he is. I SEE a complete mismatch, with kenny dominating. bj retires after ufc 101.

Good morning guys, had a few topics, but gonna keep it on UFC 100. I may not be on much this week (my son has football camp) so I’ll give my predictions.
Bisping will win a decision. I have to stick with it since I predicted a year ago that he and Silva would meet in late 2009 for the title.
I’ll be rooting for Alves for a few reasons. I don’t care for GSP is the main reason, but if Alves wins, we get an instant rematch. If GSP wins, what’s left for him a WW? He’s cleaned out the division, and it’s time to put on weight and move to MW! There are more possibilities for Alves at WW and realistically nothing left for GSP to prove. As much as I don’t like him, there is no one at his level in the UFC (unless they bring in Nick Diaz)!
I got Mir. The more I break this fight down, the more I give it to Mir! He has to look for Brock’s right hand and that’s it! Brock won’t stop Mir with hammer fists on the ground (but will get submitted), and his right comes in so predictable that Mir should be able to avoid it! I’m gonna go out on a limb and pick Mir by KO!

Alpha was busting my balls every day about my “mans man” comment a month back, acting like it was a gay comment. I explained what I meant and mentioned canadians maybe not knowing that figure of speech. I was being serious (since english may not be his first language) and he got all butt hurt, lectured me and brought up everything I’ve ever posted (smoking cigars, gambling etc). the rant sounded like a lecture my wife gives me, so I simply wanted to tell him (and everyone else) that I am who I am, and mean no disrespect, am not bragging and just keep it real! I have no reason to lie or to change my ways, you either like me or not, I don’t really care! We all have opinions and thats it!

Lesnar v Mir – I’ll pick Mir for this one. As long as he hangs back and stays out of range of Lesnar’s punches and takedowns he should eventually be albe to capitalise on a mistake and/or fatigue and get a clean submission.
GSP v Alves – This will almost certainly be a GSP victory, and a boring one at that.
Bisping v Henderson – Although I think Bisping is a smug idiot, I expect him to take this by decision. He’s not going to be able to knock out Henderson, but his relative youth will mean as the rounds go on he’ll look more dominating.

Can’t wait!! Two champions Brock and GSP defending their belts…ohh yeah to all the Brock haters he has the real belt. Even Mir in this video after he beat NOG pointed it out. Combined with all the other great fights is going to be a night to remember for any MMA fan. I’m could care less about the “COuntown to 100″ video I’ve seen enough hype already lets get it on, the top 100 is cool though.
