Thats what im sayin. I am a bid fan of Akiyama but i dont htink he will do very well in America. I dont think he will get past Belcher with a victory.

THank you Mania! Its about time we get a little sexyama coverage around here! Man is a top 10 middleweight that brings unique skills and style to the UFC middleweight division. HIs debut is a BIG DEAL IMO…I just hope that he is successful in his debut! Time and Time again, we have seen that fighters really need a tune up fight when transitioning over to the UFC from Japan…Belcher believes that he is a top cONTENDER, in that sick mind of his…where as though, I think..he is just a TUNE UP FIGHT to get akiyama up for BIGGER things that await him. I just worry about his 1st fight in the UFC regardless of who his opponent is. One of my cardinal rules of betting mma, is to avoid betting on fighters coming over from Japan in their debut fights. However, I am a big akiyama fan, and I cant stand Belcher, so betting a small amount on Akiyama Bringing SExy back to the UFC might be too tough for me to pass up!

I was just trying to avoid reading the word “sexyama” more than twelve times in one sitting.
I think he’ll do well in the UFC, but he’ll never crack the top five. The UFC middlewight division is stacked now. Should make for some great match-ups though.
I would love for Akiyama to win witch he does have a good chance to, but i dont think it will happen.
This doesn’t mean anything guys…When we have thread of my fav fighters(Akiyama included),I don’t necessarily post comments on it!
indeed! alpha…akiyama is also one of my favorite fighter but im just happy reading comments about him…or reading some articles about him..i just don’t find it interesting to post as many as i would have in mania..people here are useless and will drive u nuts to converse with…

yOU are missing a top 10 middleweight, with as much Judo skills as anyone has seen in mma…but unlike most Judoka’s to fight in mma, Akiyama has some serious striking skills!
GO watch some footage on him, and I promise you will be impressed!

No problem man. yeah he does. The knock on Akiyama RIGHT NOW, is that he suffered a brutal KO loss via illegal soccer kick at the hands or should I say feet, of Misaki. Some people worry if that Brutal Ko has messed akiyama up, his reaction time has been accused of slowing down.
One thing is for sure, if Akiyama in top form shows up to the UFC…He will have success
