It sounds to me like Swick is using the “team” excuse a little more then anyone else. I don’t think swicking out would work too well against fitch.

Yeah, I have a feeling that Swick is THRILLED to not ever have tro fight Fitch. I have a feeling that Fitch would step up and fight Kos or Swick….I think its them that want no parts of Fitch! Just a gut feeling!

I’ve stopped playing online vs people I dont know. Too many times I’ll be so close to winning and they will disconnect their system and void the match. Extremely frustrating, and even more when its been a tough, come from behind fight.

I mostly do 170 and 155. I was undefeated at LW for like 13 matches, and did pretty well as WW. Sean Sherk and Matt Hughes is whats up!

Haha. You’d be surprised how many times I pick Hughes and beat down BJ Penn. In fact, I’ve never lost to Penn at WW or LW. But yeah, Hughes brought me to MMA, so I pay my respects that way. lol.

And Sherk is a beast in the game. Overrated striking, great wrestling. lol. It works.

lol mexi mine is ibeffudled.. SYN i haven’t had to many problems til recently when i got to the levels of 30+ where people disconnect after being beaten (usually mid triangle choke) but i prefer to fight the higher weights i get way more striking matchups the higher the weight..

this game way overrated sherk and tyson griffin, way underrated shoguns striking, and anderson silva’s submissions and definitely underrated mirs transition abilities..

they need to work on a lot of online problems for the next game

Syn, Sherk is older than the Indiana Jones Trilogy btw…

LOL Mac. I told you, 1 and 3 were GREAT. 2 and the new one that they whored the Indiana Jones name to weren’t that great.

But no, the only reason I use Sherk is BECAUSE he’s way overrated. Not because I’m a big fan of his. But yeah, Tyson is a mini-Sherk, so I sometimes use him. I like the Boxer/Wrestler styles in the game. Use Kos a bit too. And Nate when I want to submit a level 10 guy. lol

I just bought the game and I can’t wait to play it tonight. If it’s half as good as people are saying then I might have to take a few sick days this week.

it’s pretty good, i can’t submit anyone for the life of me, and haven’t went the distance once, but all and all it’s better than i thought it would be.

I can’t pull any subs either. Get them secured, but never finish. I went 14-1 when I rented it in career mode. I won the title from Lyoto and then had to take the game back.

i would make a good run but have to fight eighter maia, or okami, as a mw in carrer mode and both would shut me down instantly in the first, thales leites was a pain in my ass too, has any one won a match by sub? i mash the buttons, rotate the stick and never pulled one off, i have been maia, bj, mir and fought guys who suck on the ground and still, not one sub.

i have 29 online submissions and submitted a bunch of guys in career mode.. it’s not that hard you really have to beat the other guy up first unless you use a created guy with really high sub offense

i can’t remember the last fight i had go the distance though :/

yeah subs are easy on and offline.. i rotate the analog stick instead of button tapping.

ok fellas thanks for the tips, i figured it would be easier online than off playing it in career mode but i won’t cry shananagins just yet.

if you do career in sparring mode get people in a single collar tie offensive position and uppercut the hell out of the dude the whole time, some guy online had a 109 overall rating and said that’s what he did

I dont play vs CAF. Just UFC guys.

Another tip for Submissions. Its kind of obvious, but if the guy has a higher submission offense/defense than he does strength, then you rotate the stick, and vice verse.

For example: CAF has 93 sub offense, 60 strength. I would use the analog rotation to secure a submission over button mashing.

If Strength is 70 and sub offense is 50, then you smash buttons.

i don’t see how it’s a button smasher at all, any fightnight game ever all you gotta do is throw straights and jabs to win
