c’mon john, i know you hate forrest, but please dont let him being on the cover deter you from buying this game. i’ve been playing the demo every day since it came out, and i cannot wait to pick up my copy of the game tomorrow. its amazing. just pull out the paper picture from the plastic case if it bothers you that much, but dude get the game. then us maniacs can exchange gamer tags and whoop each others asses!
I had the game since Thursday, and I’ve had 2 nights staying up till 4am playing. Plenty of people already have it. Online is pretty fun. As is career mode.

Connection at a place I pre-ordered at (not Gamestop). I got word that the stash was in, went to the place, they had my stuff waiting at the counter, paid my 55 bucks, took it home and played till i felt like a loser and went to bed. woke up and felt better, repeat play till i feel like a loser

How real is this game? do they let Forrest Ko people? If it were a realistic game, Forrest would NEVER be able to KO someone! lol

Alpha, I think one son of a bitch did that to me. Pounding his face in and alla sudden connection timed out, an error has occured, match is invalid.
And guys, ANYTHING can happen in the game. Believe in that.
And you can create as many fighters as you want in all weight divisions.

cause I dont think he has earned half the opportunities given to him, and I really have never been a fan of fighters that were incapable of ending fights, especially when you dwarf everyone you fight in SIZE! simple as that! btw, I dont even find him funny! Forrest is one of the hardest workers in MMA. How the hell do you hate someone that you’ve never even met before? You act like the guy pissed in your cornflakes or something. And by the way, Forrest has ended fights, and though he is no KO artist, he has KO’ed a couple of fighters in the past. Randy Couture is no KO artist either…do you hate him? Your hatred is unreasonable and I get sick of your constant bashing of the guy in your posts on this site.

I don’t have Live so I couldn’t even get the demo. Can’t wait to play this and get the chance to destroy Karo, Leites and Coleman. Pity Guida didn’t make the cut because I wanted to destroy him as well.

ive been playing the demo..its too easy to knock someone out with a head kick and way too hard to summit the computer…anyone agree?
Yeah. I only play on Expert so I don’t know if you can submit on other difficulties but I can’t submit anyone. I haven’t tried too many times but I beat down the other dude until his stamina depleted and then tried a sub, but I still couldn’t. Maybe my rotation technique on the stick sucks.

Yeah. Although when I’m Chuck versus Shogun, if I’m not too careful he suddenly pulls off a super sub and I can’t do anything. One time he got me in a guillotine as soon as I took him down, within the first 30 seconds of the fight. If I tried that against the computer, when both fighters are fresh, there would be no chance.
I just wanted to slam his ass on the canvas because he just goes for takedown after takedown. Not to forget that he can easily get a triangle when I’m doing a bit of ground and pound, so when I finally knocked him out whilst in his guard I felt vindicated. Hehe. This game is cool.

Well between your opinion and the thousands of other people who own both, many from both sides liking one over the other, it’s obviously strictly subjective.
But that’s the thing, I don’t own both but I never wanted a PS3. Xbox Live is good as it is anyway, probably better than PS3’s equivalent. As a multimedia device I hear the PS3 is better but just for gaming the 360, despite not necessarily being better or worse, suits me and I like it.
But that’s typical 360 bias
I can understand you may prefer the ps3, pal, but that does not make this a waste of money. I have enjoyed the system very much so far, and know that will grow exponentially when I get UFC Undisputed 2009…and hopefully all it’s sequels.
360 costs less and has a more stable online service and far better library of games and is an american product so is the obvious buy.
I assume all the Best Buys are the same, but in the Chicagloand area you get 10 bucks off a ppv, a free UFC dvd and a 10 dollar gift card for buying it tomorrow.

Hey Guys speaking of this game I was just wondering what store reaction has been like in the States? I know up here in Canada every single game store and even Wal-Mart (and I mean the Wal-Mart I go to is in a small town of like 25K) and they all have a HUGE display. Wal-Mart has a the biggest display by far carrying all the UFC movies, books and the game tomorrow. I know there is big debate about whether its main stream or not but sad as it is, I think if you’ve hit Wal-Mart this big, your getting towards the big time.

Because he’s contracted or whatever with an EA Sports game due to come out supposedly.
I gotta say though, it is definitely a huge blow that he’s not in it.
Damn Cain Velasques is a beast in the game!!! I played it last night for about 3 hours after i got it at gamestop!!! I dominated with Cain all night. Powerful punches and probably the fastest heavyweight on there, quick transitions and punches and great recovery!!! I dont know if it was just me, but i noticed during my playing time with my bro, that there were hardly if any flash knockouts. In the demo, it seemed like every other minute we were knocking each other out. Yes there were some flash knockouts when i was playing but very few and we made it into the 2nd and third rounds often. We even went to a our first decision with BJ Penn and Hermes France. Oddly it was a 28-28 draw.
The game is the shiznit, Crocop is also a beast as is Wanderlie. I got a one punch KO with Wand. The first punch he threw connected on Rampage and Koed him.
