UFC Undisputed 2009 is expected to flood the market on May 19 to the pleasure of fans and gamers worldwide. It’s the first video game for the promotion since Ultimate Fighting Championship: “Sudden Impact” back in 2004 — five very long years.
While the game drops stateside this Tuesday, our friends in the United Kingdom will have to wait just a couple of days longer — May 22 to be exact.
No worries, because those few extra days will allow you to snatch up some of the pre-order incentives from various UK game distributors.
Even though Team UK is taking it to the Yanks on this season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), the MMAmania crew is ready to show there are no hard feelings on this side of the pond.
With that said, below is a list of outlets that are giving away free loot with a pre-ordered copy of UFC Undisputed 2009. Don’t procrastinate, supplies are limited!

“UFC Undisputed 2009″ will feature 80 current and former UFC fighters, including Anderson Silva, Georges St. Pierre, B.J. Penn and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, as well as extra downloadable fighters such as Ryan Bader and Efrain Escudero if the purchase is made from Gamestop (US only – UK folks see above).
The only very notable exception from the amazingly deep roster is Randy Couture, but with at least two more UFC games in the works, it’s possible that “The Natural” could appear in a future game if we don’t see him first included as downloadable content on Xbox Live Market Place or the Playstation Store.
It seems that with three UFC games planned for release, publisher THQ is looking for the UFC video game franchise to eventually attain the success of games based on the WWE or even Madden.

Best Buy is doing a $10 gift card, a free UFC dvd (at 15 bucks or less, no blu-ray) and a $10 UFC pay per view voucher.
Holy shit I wish I would’ve known this before I pre-ordered from Gamestop.
Then you get Efran and Bader right off the bat instead of waiting 3 months for them!

Hey guys been playing it for like 3 hours now. Game is good. I’ve been playing with my little brother, and its been even the whole time.
Some of the guys’ stats are wack. Fitch’s strength is a 50 and BJ’s at 170 is a 58. Little things like that though. BJ’s cardio is rather low though, so thats cool.
Jardine is a 79, Thiago Silva a 90, which I thought was kind of wierd, but it didn’t stop me from knocking out Rich Franklin with a head kick.
No southpaws, no herky-jerky Jardine.
Only a few subs correct. Lots of different variations for the kimura. But it doesn’t really limit the game at all. You can’t chose which submission to apply either. Certain positions do default subs. Its still all fun though. No gogo’s or omoplatas from what I’ve done.
Ko’s are fun. As Hendo, I did an uppercut from the clinch ONCE and dropped Leben and Chuck, and one other time I landed a single uppercut from the clinch and KO’d Chuck with Hendo.
No one was online though, and I was a bit disappointed with that. lol

Career mode is cool. You start very low. Less than 30 on the top 3.
My dude is a kickboxing and judo (since I couldn’t decide between wrestling and bjj)
Awesome thing about career mode, as you do fights, so do the other fighters in the game (obviously), and the cool thing is their records change. Right now, Forrest is 18-14, Houstan is 16-7, Anderson 25-10, Brock 6-7 (lol), Chuck 22-12 and other stuff. Its all random too, who wins and loses. I think Kos, Cain, BJ, Wanderlei, and Ricardo Almeida are champions right now.
Also, the background sound in career mode isn’t just some wierd music or Saliva playing over and over again. Its audio clips from UFC commentary or post-fight interviews. Like, I’ve heard the commentary from when Hughes reveresed and slammed Trigg 2, Gsp’s “im not impressed”, Karo singing about his throws, Commentary Rashad ko Chuck, post fight Chuck after Wandy fight, and others. Its really cool. I love it.
My dude is 170, and I was undeafeated, Ko’d Burkeman, then got ko’d by Swick (superman punch) and AJ (spinning backfist, which ended up looking like a spinning elbow) back to back. Won a few, got KO’d by Kyle Bradley, rematched, ko’d him, Ko’d Lytle, then recently KO’d by Irish Hand grenade. Subs are hard to get early on, because you have to train with other gyms to upgrade your bjj level. took me awhile to figure it out, and just now am on lvl 2. My guys record is 11-4 and I got a fight vs Fitch coming up.
I know you guys don’t care, but I’m excited. Stayed up till 4am playing (i know, im a loser). I’m not trying to rub it in yall’s faces or anything, just giving you an insight from a dudes whos played it. It’ll build up hype and anticipation for you guys!
If I had to warn you about ONE thing, it’d be to remember the quote “ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN MMA”. expect unexpected (Like Ricardo Almeida KNOCKOUT over Hendo to win the belt..)

I went to Gamestop today to try and pick up the game. They said that it comes out on the 19th. I was a bit confused as the commercials on TUF said available now. The guy at the store said that a lot of people were coming in based off of the commercial. Ihave had the demo since the day it was released… I want to fight with more than Shogun or Chuck…
