I wouldn’t say that he sucks- just cuz he’s had some poor preformances doesn’t mean someone sucks, it means they either lost focus or something is wrong, shogun has had two bad preformances but no way does he suck (skill wise)- i’d like to see him against some stiffer competition like hamil, or even Jon Jones it would be a great stand up fight.
Jon Jones VS Brandon Vera would be sick! Jon Jones’ slick strikes, combined with Vera’s crisp striking[well that's what it looked like to me when he fought that can Patt]will have fireworks written all over it!
I’m sure Vera will win his next 3-4 fights, then he would be seriously considered as a title contender!!

News: Koscheck vs Chris Wilson added to UFC 98. I like the fight and it’s actually one I wanted to see some time ago. Kind of odd Wilson gets this oppertunity after a loss to John Howard. I like Kos in this fight, but if it stays on the feet Chris has a shot.

I dont know that he gets crushed by anyone. He got caught by werdum. His fight with Jardine who is awkward as hell could have gone either way. That was only his second fight cutting weight. Brandon may not when every fight against top five competition but i bet he wins some of them. Everyone is yelling Rampage this and that. Rampage looks bad in every fight he does not win by knock out because is is one demensional. I do like Rampage when he is on. Vera has the potential to dominate anyone in light heavyweight division. Hell He fought Silvia with a broke hand for two rounds and held his on and He destroyed current champ Frank Mir. Destroyed him. He has the potential to beat anyone out there. That does mean he will. You cant say that about many fighters.

I wouldnt have minded seeing Vera vs. James Irvin, but Irvin ran away to the middleweight division.
I always liked Vera. I was definitely disappointed in some of his performances lately. Hopefully he stays focused.

i think vera would get his licks in on hammill but i think he could hold his own. his stand up has looked a lot better except for the fanklin fight. and i see him holdin vera down via decision

I like both of those matchups, although he might want to fight you for spelling his name wrong.
I like how Vera suck up for Hamil’s celebration. Told it like it is – these guys work hard to get into the octagon, you want to win the big fights, and when you do its like a huge relief for them.
As long its not degrading to the other fighter, jumping, dancing, etc is fine with me.
Go Vera, he’ll do well at 205, but not win the title.

the truth must have the opposite effect as evans than because he looks worse every fight. few more matchups and he’ll look 15000% more worser than his first fight.

Natural weight, my ass. If you can make weight you make weight. Everyone has the same opportunity to cut weight. Anderson would knock Vera right the hell out. And Anderson is not a heavyweight, he looked like an average size LHW when he fought Irvin.

Vera is garbage. He got lucky in his first few fights. He fought a bunch of chumps that made him look good. I rank him around #15 in the LHW division.

One item he suggested there is if Anderson Silva is to fight at 205 again, one big challenge for him is to fight Brandon Vera. That is a big complement to Brandon. And I would like to see that match, here in the Philippines. Why not?

Who do you want to fight in the Philippines then dana? Batista? Of course, Brandon would fight here in the Philippines together prolly with Muñoz, or Nover. He does not have the heart? When was the last time you saw Vera quit? BJ Penn quit against his match with GSP, but Vera has never quit on any fights. I have never seen him knocked out or submitted, either. Of course, do not bring in that Verdum fight where Miragliotta simply sucked with the officiating.
