You’re not the first person to pick Belcher to win.
Every UFC Nuthugger out there is picking him to win because this is Kang’s first fight in the UFC.
I’ve seen a ton of Kang’s fights, including the last two c-class, at best, guys he fought. I guarantee you that he is going to underestimate Belcher and get TKO’d. If you have a PayPal account, I’ll put $20 on it, that is if you’re game.
And like it or not Belcher could easily slice him up with an elbow from the feet and, boom, fights over.
and who has belcher beaten that he deserves any credit as being a good fighter? ed herman? khalib starnes? quite the resume…

I’d be surprised if he could beat MacDonald, his ground game is WEAK; as far as Cote, I’ll give him a punchers chance, I don’t like Cote much but he can scrap.
Thats a fair list. Belcher has some pretty sick Muay Thai. I just think Kang is going to underestimate him and get TKO’d.
You forgot Gouveia… And after he smashes Marquardt he will be very close to #1 contender status.
I would consider Palhares a top 10 UFC MW as well.

Yea b/c we all know that ranking makes the difference in a fight. If Belcher wins, it wouldn’t be a big suprise.
it’s not about rankings mike. belcher called himself top 10 in the ufc and i challenged that. anyalyzing fights is different.

My Bud John.. mentioned an intrestin point on an earlier thread in how Alan Belcher loos like.. it’s funny to me.. cuz I still don’t how he looks like.. if I was in an elvator with him today.. I wouldn’t recognize him.. Looks different everytime I see him. It’s was just funny.. but tru IMO point.

As this is his first fight, I think he’ll be hesitant to pull the trigger with UFC jitters and all that.
Despite that, Kang’s fought way better fights than Belcher, both standing and on the ground.
Plus, training with GSP can only be a good thing.
I remember seeing a video AGES ago, where Kang, GSP and David Loiseau were in the gym together. Now, if there’s anyone whose elbows you need to worry about, it’s The Crow’s. Training with him too will have prepared Kang for anything a good Muay Thai fighter can throw at him. Whether they train together now though, I’m not sure.
Kang trained in Montreal with GSP for this fight.

I would say that Belcher is rated exactly how it should be. He’s a very dangerous stand-up fighter, and has the tools to be very good. But I dont think, despite what Belcher says in the video, that anybody actually thinks he’s top ten.

duno tuff 1 to call hope Kang comes away wif a win in his debut as not a big fan of belcher in saying that tho he seemed concentrated on this fight against Kang – jus hoping Kang doesnt get the famous UFC jitters since he seems quite a humble person! Kang tko 3rd round!
