I like his confidence, but He’s dilusional to think he can win. Fedor is way to good.

Here is how goes down – Looping punch, clinch, takedown (land in halfguard), armbar or kimura, Roach realizing there’s more to mma than technical boxing.

I think Andrei has the best chance of beating Fedor than anyone else in the last 3-4 years. I do however agree with what you said about Roach. He gets to be annoying when he says so and so is the best striker. Boxing alone does not make you a great striker, just a good puncher.

I realize these guys are building up AA and the fight hype, but he’s not that guy that pushes the fight as a matter of fact he can be quite boring because he’s so defensive and often unwilling to engage. Just the same, Fedor is going to have to be careful the how he approaches AA.

i agree mate… plus Fedor has to keep hes legendary record up, as for Andrei, he has lost before, but Fedor knows that losing could in a way derail all he is known for.

I think some smart money goes on Arlovski here, considering the odds. I mean, the guy is big, athletic, hits very hard and has accurate punches.

Don’t “cringe” I agree with you. I think Fedor will win, but if you are a gambling man looking to make a buck with the odds throwing a 100 bucks on Arlovski is a good move. Arlovski has as much of a chance to win as anyone Fedor could fight.

I agree with Tyler, don’t cringe. For gamblers, putting money an AA might be a good bet. A;though, I haven’t looked up the odds. John, Kevin, Sticky, anyone seen odds?

+300 on BetUS.com. Throwing down 100 on Arlovski and maybe walking away with 300 seems pretty decent.

On the other hand, Fedor is (-500). You would have to put 1500 down on fedor to walk away with your 300.

Arlovski: $100 bet to win $300
Fedor: $1500 bet to win $300

I don’t have the confidence in Fedor to wager 1400 more dollars just to come out at the same returns as Arlovski.

Thanks Brandon. Yes, a bet for Arlovski is much better. Man, Fedor is going off at -500.

Arlovski is not unreal – please refer to Arlovski-Datsik, Arlovski-Tim II and III, Arlovski-Rizzo, etc…

I like Arlovski, but he hasn’t impresse me in a long time. I think it depends on which Arlovski shows up.

2009-01-06 23:13:44

Not saying that, he just hasn’t looked his best to me.

Why did that chick keep talking about AA helping Randy for a fight he lost?

Comment by Jeff
2009-01-06 22:39:10

I think the producer was trying to show how much Arlovski has growing mentally. There is a connection, although, a slight one. Fighting vs. training is apples vs. oranges.

If Fedor hits AA on the Chin this fight is done….If AA hits Fedor on the Chin the fight is done…..If neither connects to the Chin AA has a zero % chance of victory.
