The official weigh-ins for tomorrow’s Sengoku ‘Rebellion 2009’ event are now in the books.
And fortunately for the 18 fighters who tipped the scales there were no surprises … though there were some notable size differences in the heavyweight division.
Former EliteXC Heavyweight Champion Antonio “Junior” Silva came in at a solid 260lbs – a whopping 35lbs more than his opponent Yoshihiro “Kiss first, ask questions later” Nakao.
Also giving up some meat was Dave “Pee Wee” Herman, who at 243 lbs came in 17 pounds less than his 260lb foe Mu Bae Choi.
And speaking of meat, Hidehiko Yoshida had the crowd buzzing with his recent transformation from portly heavyweight to svelte light heavyweight.
Here are the official results:
Sengoku Lightweight Championship:
Takanori Gomi (153) vs. Satoru Kitaoka (154)
Sengoku Middleweight Championship:
Kazuo Misaki (182) vs. Jorge Santiago (181)

is there a way we can watch this in the states…
Anyone think the scales were a bit off? Did everyone weigh in under?
Yoshida really looked good, he lost some weight and got in shape. ROIDS! IT MUST BE ROIDS! THEY DON’T TEST IN JAPAN, REMEMBER!!!
they also let their fighters fight in halloween masks. i know your being sarcastic, but japan does give off the notion that anything goes.
maybe he did some situps and went on a diet..
hahah…”kiss first, ask questions later”…nice
i like King Mo in the background, looks like he doesnt give a sh*t haha, that guy is someone to look out for IMO
If you look below the umbrella you can see the picture of the show of the girl carrying it for him.
He’s fought in japan twice and has groupies.
Natural charisma!
Mo also said that later in his career he wants to gain weight to fight at HW, but right now he wants to stay at LHW or even go down to MW, can you imagine him at 185 straight up destruction
if he became a phenomal stand up fighter hed be a recking machine. stuffing all the jits guys takedowns and just beating them on the feet. WAR MO
he has said that he was down in brazil working with Belfort, so that could mean that his muay thai is getting better, or maybe it was for jits defense, I think that it will only be a matter of time before he is fighting big names
Will HD Net carry this next week?
Kevin Randleman was suppose to fight Travis Wiuff at this event, but he must have pulled out from injuries like he did for the last one where he was suppose to fight Jeff Monson.
