K-1 superstar Remy Bonjasky exclusive quick quote: Stick to the rules or don’t play the game

"Dear Fans,
In 2003 and in 2004 I won the K-1 Grand Prix. There I had tears in my eyes, because I was happy to win. Winning with a DQ is very disappointing to me because I worked hard for the final and that’s why I had tears this time. I hope that this will be a lesson to all the ring fighters, if you can’t stick to rules, don’t play the game."
-Winner of the K-1 World Grand Prix 2008 Remy Bonjasky gives MMAmania.com a message for his fans – and K-1 bad boy Badr Hari – regarding his controversial disqualification win over Hari in the 2008 GP finals. Hari pulled Bonjasky to the ground in the second round and seemed to lose control of himself, pummeling the downed opponent and even trying to stomp on Bonjasky’s face. Bonjasky was allowed five minutes to recover but was still seeing double after the time elapsed and the referee called the match. A bizarre and unfortunate ending to an otherwise spectacular event. No question these two will meet again somewhere down the road.

Well he’d already won the title twice before without controversy and was arguably winning the fight with Hari this time round. So calling him a pussy is questionable, especially since he did take a solid heel to the face. I’m not convinced that he was that badly hurt but calling him a pussy is out of order. Hari blatantly broke the rules and deserved the DQ that he got given. That can’t be disputed. Plus someone calling a proven K1 fighter and world champion a pussy from the comfort of his own computer? Slight irony there.
I totally believe he faked it and could of continued, that being said…. What Badr Hari did was bullsh!t and classless in K1
Oh yes, Badr Hari acted like a brainless moron, really sad that he ruined the fight… he would’ve won it anyway if he just wouldn’t take it so personal.
Yes, the DQ he got was good… it shows him and other fighters that you can’t just do these things.
Remy did fake, he didn’t see double after that… you that believe so… great he fooled you.
Because when he got up and should recive the price etc. he forgot his acting, the dizzyness, double sight, blurry vision… all gone… since it wasn’t there in the first place!
Um I think the hit that dropped him mad him see double, he just used the excuse of getting hit while he was down to play on it. And to tell the truth, anyone who competes in both K-1 and MMA are by no means pussy. If you were a pussy you’d be doing TKD with all this protective gear on.

Hari went for the double leg then g’n'p, its the equivalent of a soccer player picking up the ball mid match and smashing the goal keeper in the face with a rugby style hand-off then diving over the line to claim the win. Instant send off! Twat!!

Badr was on his way to take Remy out.. Remy is so damn boring to watch, and Badr won the fans this GP and was the real winner!
yeah, badr is really exciting, bonjaski is very talented.. but nothing more.
Badr Hari is a bad ass and a dumb ass. He made it to the final against someone who has beaten him before and was not winning so he git the DQ. Stupid. Before anyone says yes he was winning well in that case it is even dumber.
yeah, and bonjasky is three times K-1 champion with two wins over Hari. Hari is ridiculously talented but he’s not mentally ready to be the champion. He’s still years away from bonjasky, schilt and aerts (even after defeating him).
Badr won the first fight against Remy, it was a bad decision by the judges to give Remy that fight.. they gave it to him just because Remy is the two-time champion and Badr wasn’t as known as Remy!

Badr came back in the fight against Zimmerman after a brutal knockdown, what tells you he wouldn’t have been able to do the same against Remy “boring” Bonjasky… and btw this comment was about their first fight jackass!

Remy won the first 10/8 because he knocked down Hari. And he was winning the second because Hari got one point deducted from him. The only way Hari could’ve won it was by KO
