Tomorrow night (Friday, December 5) at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, the organization referred to by Yahoo!Sports as “the best kept secret in the sport” — Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) — will host the sixth event of its young history entitled, “Clash of the Continents.”

The XFC is also credited with for holding the attendance record for a mixed martial arts event in Florida, pulling in more 11,000 fans on November 11, 2007, for the inaugural event for the promotion. Neither Elite XC nor the UFC — which have both put on events in the “Sunshine State” since that time — have been able to surpass those numbers if indeed accurate.

XFC 6: “Clash of the Continents” will feature a heavyweight main event between undefeated Chad Corvin (3-0) and South African native Rico Hattingh (1-1).

The co-featured fight of the night is a lightweight title match between champion John “The Mulatto Mauler” Mahlow (11-9) and UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s protege, Luis “Baboon” Palomino (6-3).

Here’s what Nogueira had to say about his pupil:

“Luis had a pair of losses and didn’t really understand the intricacies of MMA before I began working with him, which makes sense when you realize that he never competed as an amateur before turning pro. But the progress we’ve made at the Team Nogueira training facility in Miami is just incredible; his striking prowess and overall knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu grows almost daily. Luis is currently riding a five-fight winning streak, and despite our size difference, he’s the one fighter I always want to spar with whenever I’m preparing for a bout. He’s that good, and I’m proud to have him as my protege.”

The XFC bantamweight championship will also be decided on the card as Haender Rodriguez meets Jason “Good As Gold” Goodall for the right to claim the vacant title.

Also worth noting is 37-year-old WIBF female boxing champion Chevelle “Fists of Steel” Hallback will be making her mixed martial arts debut against Melissa “The Cat Killer” Vasquez in a 135-pound contest.

Here’s the full lineup for tomorrow night’s festivities:

Main event:

265 lbs.: Chad Corvin (3-0) vs. Rico Hattingh (1-1)

Rest of the card:

155 lbs.: XFC lightweight champion John “The Mulatto Mauler” Mahlow (11-9) vs. Luis “Baboon” Palomino (6-3)
205 lbs.: Brett Chism (6-4) vs. CT “The Hulk” Turner (3-0)
135 lbs.: Melissa “The Cat Killer” Vasquez (4-4) vs. Chevelle “Fists of Steel” Hallback (0-0)
135 lbs.: Haender Rodriguez (4-3) vs. Jason “Good As Gold” Goodall (4-0) for the vacant XFC bantamweight title
145 lbs.: Horacio “The Warrior” Rodriguez (0-0) vs. Sky Moiseichik (0-0)
265 lbs.: Scott “The Bear” Barrett (2-0) vs. Donavin “Bam Bamz” Hawkey (10-1)
185 lbs.: Reuben Millhausen (2-0) vs. Mark “Baby Hulk” Serkez (5-3)
155 lbs.: Donny “High Intensity” Wallace (3-0) vs. Frank “Frankie Knuckles” Santore (3-0)
185 lbs.: Scott Porter (0-0) vs. Chris “The Professional” Davis (1-0)

If you’re in the area be sure to stop in and check it out — tickets can still be had at TicketMaster.com for as low as $20.
