I have to call BS, no one “enjoys getting hit” thats crap; just tough guy talk. Although I have met some chicks that won’t leave their alchoholic abusive boyfriends for some reason… ok SOME people like getting hit.. I have no idea why.
I think he meant to say, he loves his resilience and ability to rebound from a tough shot.
It’s not the getting punched, but the ability to tolerate aggression and then deliver devastating attacks of his own.
No you do not like to get hit sorry, no one likes getting hit. If you love it so much then get engaged to Ike Turner. I hate that line every time I see it, it’s just talk. The same as “I love the taste of blood, i go crazy when I taste my own blood” yea sure you do.. ok… With that being said, Torres is still going to wreck Tapia.
I think you are misunderstanding. These guys obviously love to fight and getting hit is part of that. If he can take a guys best punch and counter with 3-4 more of his own, of course he likes that. It means he is probably winning. There are also guys like Forrest who start slow and “like” getting hit because it wakes them up and gets them going.
I can see enjoying the part where he comes back and lands some shots but definatly not the getting hit part. Maybe just how he started off with “I love to get hit”; lol, not sure I met anyone that enjoys getting beat down yet..
He didn’t say “getting beaten down” and you probably don’t know any top professional fighter either.
I believe that he enjoys it, just like BNF said above, its a part of the fight, the war, the battle, and THAT is what he loves. The action!

This is the reason that I type the term “weight division” on this site rather than how I speak, which I would say “weight cla$$” but that would get hung up in moderation, so I say weight division.

I train at miguels gym and i swear to god the guy likes to get hit. If you see his eyes and how he looks at you when you hit him and comes forward, you would understand what he is saying.
That is what I thought he meant…. like it wakes him up and brings out a different fighter in him.
Read what he says. He says that he loves when he gets hit AND can come back and deliver two, three or four blows of his own. I doubt if he likes getting hit on the button by somebody who could knock him out. As Joe Rogan says “the human chin is not made to be hit.” Even Miguel will go night night if the right person catches him.

first post got stuck in moderation, got impatient and posted again, it happens; and I didn’t claim to know more about fighting than fighters, I just don’t think people in general enjoy being hit. The part about him enjoying retaliating I can understand.
ok thats understandable then. i retract my previous statement. i think that if you are a fighter you have to at least enjoy getting hit a little or you wouldn’t pick a profession where that happens to you day in and day out. i’m sure no one likes getting KTFO…just getting hit though is a completely different story.
So apparently this is on tsn2 in Ontario, and somehow Rogers cable doesn’t carry the channel … WTF!
