a) bj penn is undoubtably superhuman, b) sure he lost 4 times, but one was a loss to lyoto machida who was fighting at around 215lbs while penn was only around 185 or so (and even so, penn put on an incredible performance and took the fight the distance); another loss was to pulver, which he sure as sh*% redeemed himself from by dominating pulver at the finale of tuf 5; the third loss was to hughes (in a fight that penn dominated the first 2 rounds and then f-ed up his rib and was unable to continue at his previous pace); and lastly he lost to gsp by a close split decision. I'm from Boston and love to watch Florian fight, the guy is incredible, but I really don't see anyone in the 155 weight class being able to touch penn.

after joe fight bj was out of breath, watch his speech after.
and sherk fight he was breathing heavily too.
gsp will definately push a faster pase than either joe or sherk
i didnt say huerta would beat bj, but it would be an awesome standup fight, i dont see either shooting for takedown or backing up once.
yea he was getting worked by guida but he never lost confidence he made up for his performance in that third round, true right.
and yes huerta is over hyped, reason for that i think is to bring the hispanics to mma rather than boxing, u have huerta and probably eddie sanches who isnt too great that are latinos. maybe cain velasquez who i dunno if still is in ufc after dispute.
but besides the hype he is good fighter, hes young so he can improve still.
i i think he can beat joe stevenson, probably in similar fashion kenny beat joe just longer fight. i met joe and i love the guy but besides his guillotine he needs standup work. only fight i remember him winning withoit choke was a decision to cumo and pellegrino.
huerta and tyson griffin i can see next for them.
kenny improved amazingly after sherk fight
but he hasnt fought any taller stronger wrestlers since sherk, joe wrestled in hs and he told me he wasnt all that great till after hs what about when he meets gray or frankie edgar, or sherk again, we will see his current takedown defense, then if he can beat them, by all means i see him as the future p4p king.

fights in lw i wanna see
kenny vs bj of course (best bjj in lw)
sean sherk vs gray maynard (best wrestlers in lw)
tyson grifin vs roger huerta (best fight of the nighters lol)
joe stevenson vs many gamburyian (shortest lws)
nate diaz vs joe lauzon (scrony but sharp lw)
matt wiman vs rob emerson (heavy hitting lws)
clay guida vs kurt pellegrino or sherk or gray

There's penty of guys in the LW division that would give BJ a go. I'd be pissed too if I were Kenny. After GSP humbles BJ and brings him back down to earth, Kenny will take his title.

Just look at anderson silva's resume in the ufc at middle weight then check out penns resume at light weight, enough said.

Like I said, he is a little overrated. But he did beat Guida, even though he was losing on points before that. Kenny did little more to him than frustrate him. I know the whole MMA math thing doesn't work, but Joe couldn't last a full round against Kenny, but Roger went the distance against him. Roger wasn't overhyped because he's mexican. He was hyped appropriately because he's an exciting fighter, and has put on some amazing performances. His fight with Leonard Garcia was a classic, and he completely broke Alberto Crane. He has a sh*t-ton of talent, heart, potential and determination. He's still a young guy, and he's a good story, having come from where he did. As long as he doesn't give up on himself, I think Huerta is going to be very big in the future. Same goes for Joe Daddy.

Kenny's striking is not going to look as good against BJ. He looked so good against Huerta and Stevenson because they came straight forward in attack mode, and utilized very little real technique. BJ is cagier than that. BJ plays the elusive game just as well if not better than Kenny. Plus BJ doesn't have to worry about getting put on his back, because even if Flo COULD take him down (which he can't), he wouldn't get anywhere on the ground against him.
