Or was he just trying to tell everyone that it was a very expensive shirt? (conspiracy theorist here) Arianny doesn’t look like she’s used to not being the center of attention.

I am happy to see these guys having fun, they deseve it. The sport is growing and now everybody wants to jump in the mix. Back in the days nobody knew who Randy was.I am a huge fan of the sport and I feel happy for all of them and laugh at those that one day said this was a joke.Dana may make decisions sometimes that upset people , but the sport is where it is now because of him.Maybe these guys that are now doing this photo shoot seven years ago were the ones calling Dana crazy or who knows what.

This crap has got to stop. It’s time for Dana to take a back seat to the fighters. The think overall Dana is good for the sport and has done a lot to take MMA mainstream, but lately I think his head has been getting a little big. I like his blogs, but I don’t need to see him in photoshoots.

It’s ESPN who is calling the shots with the photo shoot, including backdrop and specific shots. It is obvious they made the decision to feature Dana in this photo shoot. It’s not Dana saying,”OK, I want to be holding the belt in the middle of the shot with Randy and Ariany flanking me…”. Think about it. I agree we have seen a little much of Dana lately, but don’t hate on him just because he is a big personality who gets lots of attention.

I’m all “Dana’ed” out for the week. I’ve always been a staunch supporter of the guy. And he’s done great things for the sport. But after “Fitch-gate” and the Lindland movie (dont know if it’s unbiased or accurate, and the info is old news…but still) I just don’t want to see or hear anything about him for a while. Lost some respect for the guy this week.

I agree chef! I am one of the biggest ‘pro Dana” supporters on this site, and i have to admit, Dana has had a lot of fuck ups this past month..

I know that he cant always be perfect, and people do make mistakes, but this whole Fitch ordeal the past couple days have really had me tight at Dana. Not to mention he let a top ranked HW fighter leave the UFC(Werdum) not too long ago…

Dana is still the man, but he needs to get off his high horse, and realize that he cant just cut top fighters for bullshit reasons..

Unless Dana is putting up a video to apologize to Fitch, or there is big news that he just signed Jake Shields or some kind of big fight announcement?
Im feeling Just like you chefdaddy, I dont want to hear about Dana for a bit..Im all Dana’d out…

Chefdaddy, just got back in, long day. In response to yr question on the ‘Fitch Sounding off thread… (I posted there) just in case u don’t get back to it… here’s my guess on why more fighter don’t tell White to F**K OFF on the Video,DVD,likeness contract.

These fighters sign their contracts staggered 1 or more yrs apart. How do you get them all together at once? Many have already signed. Fighter’s career that are going up at the peak of making big $$$ they’ve waited to make for yrs, how do they say no and miss that window of opportunity? They don’t have multi-millions like other athletes to sit on the sidelines and protest it out. Not many can do what Couture did. They need their signing bonuses & fight $$$. Now that Pride is gone, where else is there to go?

Couture did tell dana where the sun could shine on the likeness contract long time ago, and I think it’s a safe bet Lesnar has something with the WWE or negotiated with Dana about his likeness.

It really comes down to options, there aren’t any, the UFC is the place to fight and make your name and $$$. They’ll make more $$$ for fights in the UFC than anywhere, get more name recognition to start their own gyms or anything they may want to do with their likness by asking the UFC’s permission. Unfortunetly they’re getting robbed on the back end… DVD’s, Video games, they should make some $$$ here it is a huge, huge, industry. Who makes $$$ off of somebody elses likness for zero compenstation and tie it up for a lifetime? I’m not really sure if this will hold up under litigation, but who’s going to try to fight the UFC in later yrs?

You’re right, these guys are terrified of Dana, not to many of them can afford to miss a ‘fight’ or more. The guys that can are making enough fight $$$ are doing just that, trying not to rock the boat and keep winning, remember Josh Koscheck’s post?… fighters are almost forced to have that attitude, because of White’s willingness to cut them off.

Sad but true, Dana White really robbed me of enthusiasm for MMA this week, he’s the perfect guy to run the UFC, but I hate to this and the way he handled it… as much as he doesn’t want to be a douchebag boxing promoter…. his boxing background is seeping through.. I read about the stuff Don King did back in the day, and I bet White took a few lessons away from him.

I can’t even hit play because I don’t want to see any more of Dana’s ego on display. I think Dana has been rewarded with plenty of money already for all he did for the sport. Spread the wealth Dana, if not by giving us lower priced PPV, then by helping the fighters to make as much as they can. He has no business trying to own the rights to their images. Greed is one of the deadly sins.

I know that Randy is an amazing athlete and fighter but mate, please stay at 205 pounds. Forrest and Stephan dwarf Randy, it is amazing to see the size difference. I guess it just goes to show you how unbelievable he has been for so many years. He has got some big balls.

Can not wait to see Forrest destroy Rashad and I am also looking forward to seeing Bonnar fight a top 10 guy very soon, its a f**kin joke he hasn’t (post Forrest)

I watch MMA almost every week and haven’t been thinking in the way you do… ever!.
How can you even watch MMA if you have thoughts like that????

I know this wasn’t fighting but it was the same people and they looked the exact same… without the excitement, well you got some excitement out of it…

Scott by the end of this year you will be throating skin-bananas like there was no tomorrow!

Sleep with one eye open… you choose which one but choose wisely.
