I dont hate on Lesnar at all, my hats off to the guy for his transition. But lets get 1 thing straight, Couture dodged Nog pure and simple as he has in the past, now Lesnar holds what Nog is coming after and Nog isnt some hyped up 16 and 9 wonder of the world fighter that the UFC made him out to be. Nog is the real deal and if Lesnar happens to beat Nog then he has all my respect. But Nog has weathered all so dont try and bring out his weaknesses, the only weakness hes had is Fedor and try and expalain that weakness. Hes fought people bigger and stronger then Lesnar and hes taken hits 3 times harder then what Lesnar can even throw ( Fedor ). So I believe you have it bassackwards...Were not askin can Nog take out Lesnar, its can Lesnar take out Nog. I really do appreciate Coutures chicken shyt move of duckin Nog because it sure has led to a mess of drama thatll help boost sales in UFC. All that being said thats the real fight ! I know the franchise had to sell the couture / lesnar fight as the biggest in mma but thats just them supporting their franchise made 16-9 wonder of mma. The biggest mma fight ever was Fedor / Nog ALL 3 times ...dont be brainwashed by the ufc tactics to sell itself.

I was sad to see the Randy/Brock fight won by size (and frankly, luck kind of...) over skill. I believe Randy was doing all the right things and as someone else pointed out (and mmamania), Couture weathered everything that Brock's "bread and butter" wrestling could offer.

I know Brock won, and I don't want to take anything away from him for that, but my only complaint is that the new heavyweight champ had to squeak out a 10/9 first round on a guy that he had 60 pounds on and a 15 year advantage. Now to me if Brock's skill set had truly progressed as fast and as far as his camp was boasting before the fight, he wouldn't have had to power out of things and could use technique to conserve energy. He was already gassing at the mid way point of the first round(!!!) despite being on top. In all actuality he was coming apart at the seams, which he wouldn't have been if his skills were truly at par. If he hadn't scored that elbow, and the punch to the temple it would be very likely that because of his extremely muscular build he would have gassed by round 3(ironically because HE was facing an opponent with stellar wrestling and not the other way around).

Congrats to both guys i suppose but especially to Randy considering that the media was painting him as half in the grave before the fight even started. Also because it's likely that the next guy to fight Lesnar is at a great advantage because of Randy. I believe 100%... actually 300% (that's right, I believe to an impossible degree) that if Randy fought Brock again he'd wear him down and win either by decision or KO/TKO with cardio as a major contributor.

Quick side note: I was impressed with the quality of this card over all, I have to honestly say I bought it because of the undercard bouts and the possibility of seeing some of the pre-lims and I was very impressed all around. Sad day for the heavyweight division... perhaps.... but the UFC raised the bar for the kind of shows that THEY have to put on to bring in viewers new and old, here's hoping they keep it up.

cheers.

And when Lesnar goes Donkey Kong on Nog's head to unify the title I'm sure you will all have some handy excuse or claim he doesn't belong there anyway.

Thank you JV. All these people saying that Nog will kill Brock are the same ones that said Randy would win. Fedor might kill Brock, but not Nog. Give Brock some more fights and he might be the only guy around that can give Fedor problems.

Not true. The mohawk definition is what the UFC uses. Sorry.

Why can't you just enjoy watching the fights?
