let me save you the trouble. none of this will matter anyway after silva decapitates and sodomizes cotes corpse in the octagon. RIP cote!!!

Do you know why Anderson Silva is in my top 3 favorite fighters. It’s not just the skill he possesses, it’s his work ethic, the fact that he seems genuinely to be a nice guy, he’s very humble and has a killer instinct. There aren’t too many fighters out there like that (Fedor is another I can think of, and as much as it pains me to say, GSP). It kinda saddens me that mma fighters (and athletes in general) from the U.S. aren’t like this. Most have tons of raw talent, don’t train very hard and think they are the best thing to ever come into their sport. I really respect and am proud to be an Anderson Silva fan!

Gotta agree kevin. He just seems like this everyday who simply is able to beat up most of the people on the planet. You know, I had a weird thought the other day. One of many, lol, and I’m surprised it hadn’t occurred to me before. If I were to fight, I’d be a 205′er (there is a possibility for 185, but not sure if I would have the discipline for that), which means I’d be in his weight division. I had to laugh at the mental picture of me trembling as I step into the cage and Kalib Starnes’ing my @ss away from the Spider as FAST as possible.

Dana White Quote: “Anderson is probably 2 fights away from fighting for the light heavyweight title”!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!! U hear that? UFC is going to get really interesting!

kevin, why dont you like GSP?? He has top level skills, always puts on great fights and like you said-
“work ethic, the fact that he seems genuinely to be a nice guy, he’s very humble and has a killer instinct”

Oh yeah, and he is also the current WW champ of the UFC..With all this about the guy, and you still don’t like him? There has to be a good reason for the dislike.

Great post though. I agree with you, and I am also a proud fan of the Spider..There is nothing do dislike about him and there is soooo much to like..The man will be a legend!

This will get interesting..Especially because Andy has already said he wanted Machida to get that title..

Dana is most likely taking Andy’s retirement plans serious..The only way that I see Anderson fighting for the LHW belt is if Machida lose’s his next fight..

That is crazy!!! Wonder how that’ll happen, cuz if Silva goes on tear at LHW, he’ll eventually earn a shot. But hasn’t he stated he wouldn’t challenge for it b/c of Machida? (I guess that could be on the assumption that Lyoto will have fought for it and lost, maybe?)

Cheff: I too interpreted it as an assumption that Machida wont be wearing the title!

Yes Sir Kev.. I agree. I am truely happy to be around during these MMA years.. to witness the Legend Anderson Silva.. he is an inspirational person/fighter..

Anderson embodies all that a human should work towards in life.. Anderson Sets the bar for what a Champion should be..He is an inspiration to me.. when I was in the black hole of my life.. One of the people I would always enjoy watching fight, and hear speak was Silva.. He makes me want to train and transform myslef into someone bigger, better, then I am today.

He Imo is the ultimate Symbol of MMA greatness.. The Jordan of MMA.. The Pele of fighting.. I will watch UFC90.. in hope to see something amazing happen in the Octagon..

For Cote.. It’s Big Trouble in little Octagon.

I just don’t like him stagger, and I give my honest opinions/comments around here. I’m not a bandwagon fan and don’t follow the crowd. I don’t care for or deal with weak people, I see GSP as a weak person. I’ll give him his props, until BJ beats him, he’s the top ww in the world, and is top 5 p4p, there is no way around that, I just don’t like him! sorry!

Its all good kevin..I was just wondering..Its because you think he is mentally weak..Good enough for me..I just knew there had to be a reason..Dont apologize, I like the fact that you give your honest opinion all the time…Thanks for the answer-back..

I would love to see Patrick Cote vs Rich Franklin! Cote is the best boxer that will have fought Anderson so far in the UFC and he has a good chin so he does have a chance, but on the ground he will have no answer whatsoever..

I dont about that. He does have a decent scramble. If he can just keep getting back to his feet, he has a chance.

I just watched Anderson Silva all access. That was the best All Access that I have ever seen. I had come to the point where I wanted Cote to win but after watching that All Access, I kind of want Silva to win. He seems like such a down to earth guy. Paint balling with frozen paint balls and everything. He’s like a big kid hahaha.

Countdown and all access were awesome. I want Silva to earn a lot more money cause it looks like he uses very well. He also buys a lot of fun stuff. :)

Go Silva!

i think silva should stay away and try and pick cote apart. i previous fights cote has shown that he can land short, quick over the top punches. if silva tries to clinch, watch out!!!UPSET!!!!!(probably not, but thats the only way cote wins)

Comment by James S
2008-10-24 07:32:40

Are you saying the only way Cote wins is in the clinch????? I’m sure i am not understanding correctly.

Was it just my imagination, or was Rachelle Leah not in this episode at all?

I don’t recall seeing her.

The ultimate fighter could learn a lot from all access, if they had each episode as a story about the fighter and then a fight it would be a lot better than just the stupid house “i got drunk and peed on your bed” crap that has been happening for 4 years.

It was your imagination. She was there from start to finish. She took a helicopter tour with him, she was at his house, having dinner with him, on the back of his bike, learning punch combos from him, have Sunday lunch with his whole family.

I don’t know what show you were watching but you need to watch it again, it re-runs on Saturday…

2008-10-24 10:04:15

good post dirtyml, I’ll go one step further, didn’t it appear that silva could have banged her every time she looked at him!!
his conditioning guy is a scary dude!!

she had a little news article on th ufc site where she said she was a huge fan of anderson’s, he’s her favorite ( or maybe one of her favorites?) she loves the way he fights, loves his class yadyadayada. Basically all the things i pretend she says about me during drunk dreams. She sounded as if she was a real fan of his.
