Yeah Japanese Women’s mma is on the up, it’s not huge but it’s getting bugger. There’s even an all Women’s org called Smack Girl and also another one that NNR just mentioned Valkyrie, who have their first show November 8th.

Yeah. Hopefully the boys at Zuffa are considering this. WEC already consists of weight classes that the UFC doesn’t consist of, so I don’t see why female MMA can’t be used as a source of revenue for Zuffa. I really don’t agree with how Zuffa handles the WEC. I think that they have a lot more experience than me in the business world, but if they put more thought and effort into it, the WEC could make them a lot more money than it has thus far. I would even go as far as to say that the WEC should get a network TV deal.

I would love to see the WEC make a female division. As far as Gina fighting in Japan, I just can’t see it happening. She fights at 140, which is bigger than a lot of the male japanese fighters. I don’t think they have the pool for her weight class.

I agree that it is highly unlikely that Gina would fight for DEEP. I just wasn’t aware of any female fights going on under any Japanese banners. If DREAM were to pick up Cyborg vs. Gina, that could help them. I kind of doubt that will happen being as Affliction seems to be interested in making that match up happen. I still wonder if Zuffa will make a female division in the WEC. It would be a smart business move in my opinion.

I don’t think dream will have any females. Maybe once Valkyrie is up and running, she might be able to do that, but i doubt they can afford her or have a lot if any quality opposition at her weight. Also why would she fight on a DEEP organized card. No one knows them.
