hermes franca

“If he’s awake, I’ll shake his hand.”

– Hermes Franca shares his prediction with InsideFighting.com on his upcoming fight against Marcus Aurelio at UFC 90: “Silva vs. Cote” at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., on October 25. He intends to finish his former Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor and camp member at American Top team (ATT) — a good back story that most of you should check out prior to the lightweight showdown if you haven’t already. Despite the bad intentions, both fighters insist that bad blood is not boiling over after their shared and spotty past. In fact, Franca and Aurelio intend to go about this as professionals, indicating that it is not personal. Uh-huh …

What happened to this card? Goran hurt, Diego hurt, WTF… It will be okay, but I am not nearly as excited as I was a couple weeks ago.

I would rather see this fight than Sherk/Tyson for sure. Even the Clementi/Maynard could be boring. I like Hermes and hope he can get back to winning. Auerlio is probably too far past his prime to make another good run in this sport. He has great jits, but I think this will be an example where student has surpassed the teach…

Agreed. I was going to catch it in person since its only a 20/30 minute drive from Chicago but the entire card has lost its luster.

Marcus has looked lethargic in the past 2 fights that I have seen him compete in.

I will go with Franca by TKO.

Im sure this card wont be as boring as the UFC 72 victory card, with Franklin Okami fight. that card was a freakin snooz fest!

should be a good fight… i always liked Franca- he even had Sean Sherk with that knee to the head, BUT he should really be working on his strength , cuz he got wrecked by Sherk and edgar… both sick wreslers… On a side note who thinks sherk is gonna dry hump tyson griffin for 3 rounds and take the descision?? of vis versa

Franca is the MAN! Maximus is not an easy fighter to finish, but I can see Hermes crack him with a big knee or that clubbing hook of his. Much of the fight will take place on the ground and I expect Hermes to G n P Maximus and some sick jits exchanges will occur.

prediction: Franca via decision

Agreed, They know each other’s jui juitsu style so they won’t go to the ground. It’ll be a stand up affair with Franca winning via decision,

I HATE THAT STUPID TERM! EVERY TIME A WRESTLER FIGHTS, SOMEONE IN THE FORUMS SAY “DRY HUMP!”…..I’m sorry. I am just really sick of seeing people say that. On a sidenote, I think that this quote could be used towards someone who is planning on choking their opponent out.

I hate it when I’m dry humping, and someone says I’m wrestling.

If Tyson Griffin and Clay Guida couldn’t knock him out, then simply Hermes Franca can’t.

There’s even a bigger chance that Franca himself is going to take a closer look at the canvas.

i bet your right about sherk trying to hump griffin! but you never know, maybe bj tought sherk that he needs to work on his striking. maybe thats what sherks gameplan is, to stand up and trade, hurt griffin, then take him down and hump him!!! and i also predict that franca wins by ko. that fool throws bombs! i cant stand aurelio.

Well I expect you’ll see Hermes get booted after he loses to Marcus. There’s no chance he could knock Marcus out.

why would he be booted? Hermes is a top ten fighter.

*BROOOP!*

Sorry c-war, that’s a wrong answer.
