As much as i like bashing Yoko, she is right about the professionalism of the weigh-in disrobing. Can you imagine how different the reaction would have been if it was Kelly instead of Gina.

No. You miss my point. She feels her opinion matters. She thinks she can fight competitively when in fact she really can’t. She is a poser at best. My critiques and opinions come as a fan of the sport, not as someone that thinks they are capable of participating in MMA. She can have an opinion, but its hard to entertain when she has one fight that she lost and she’s critiquing a UFC Hall of Famer.
I agree Mexicutioner, opinions of fans come from a different perspective than opinions of fellow competitors(colleagues)

How many times do we have to hear fighters whining about the money they get? I know it’s Kim complaining and not Gina but for God’s sake, don’t they read the terms of their contracts before they step in the octagon? If the money ain’t right for you, then don’t fight. Otherwise, shut up and be thankful you’re getting paid legally kick someone else’s ass.
Wonder why Randy was out of the UFC and MMA for almost a year?
Didn’t watch the interview but Gina’s body was smokin at the weigh-in. It would be very hard for any straight man not to take a little peek. Now on her pay check, I think that is pretty crappy. I don’t know abut you all but I was much more interested in watching her fight than Kimbo’s fight. There’s only two reasons I watched that card and it’s 1. Gina 2. AA. AA got $500,000 and Kimbo got $500,000 for 14 seconds. No wonder he said it’s all good after getting his ass kicked. I knew the women’s fight would be better than Kimbo’s fight and Gina only got $35,000 total. Man, thats bull if you ask me. To me she should have gotten $50,000 to show and $50,000 for winning. Kimbo should have gotten $100,000 for showing and $100,000 for winning. That would be way more fair. AA should have gotten like $150,000 for showing and $150,000 for winning because he’s actually a great fighter and has proven himself. Just examples but it makes more sense to me than Elite’s pay scale.
two little points to note you can’t really compare the money between AA and the other two, for a couple of reasons.
1. AA was a ufc champion, and very well could be again (if he went back)
2. AA was paid by Affliction, not elite xc, and therefore the money isn’t compareable
I can not hate someone for something I would do.
trying to bring in these mainstream sponsers, be credible, promote these guys as true atheletes, not as thugs not as street fighters <– what difference does it make?
I was at the fight. It’s BS about everyone being silent when Kimbo went down. I was cheering, and laughing my ass off!!
I think the interviewer was an idiot. He sexualized Kim’s weigh in the same as Shaw did to Gina. Professionalism dictates that you act like a professional (duh). The guys in the weigh in audience and at home who drooled on their tv sets are not expected to be professional. Shaw, and the interviewer guy are expected to be pro’s. Gina was a professional, and so was Kim.
