Untrue man. the NBA tests for everything. Rasheed Wallace and company got high before when they were in Portland. and Chris Webber too I believe. It’s just that they buy this stuff advertised in High Times wherein you get in the “clear zone” for 5 hrs. After that, your drug tests shall come out positive again…

Yeah there’s easy ways to pass drug tests smoking pot. They sell drinks for that. Alwasy worked with my P.O.

Every person reacts differently. I had a huge lung problem with it and wrestling in college was not a good combo. I have nothing against it and have friends I wrestled with even that loved it. I just didn’t do well with it lol. Kitsunex, your comment is funny. I hope you were on the green when you made it, if not it makes no sense.

exactly. Pot just exaggerates your inherent tendencies and heightens your senses/awareness.

Its just that pot is associated with stupid lazy people more often than not since they seem to be one getting stoned and busted.

The thing with pot is that with time (and this is different with every person) it leads people to become dependent. Once you become dependent, you need it just to function normally. Also, its very common for a pot smoker to try and commence regular usage of a more potent drug. Rinse and repeat. Its always better to simply not start. In regards to pot helping one focus, I don’t know how true that can be. From what I’ve learned (and I’m a UC Berkeley Bio Psych Undergrad student) by using pot, your best performance in school related material is still worse that what your best would’ve been had you not smoked pot. Just cuz Rogan goes off and “appears” to have some facts straight doesn’t mean hes intelligent - the guy is a pothead, and god love em for that, but hes no Micro Biological expert…just look up neurotransmitters and learn what drugs, pot and even cigarrets included do to your brain…._Timby_

Timby its all propaganda!! Pot is NOT a gateway drug. People do not become dependent on pot. Pot is MUCH less harmful then Cig’s or Booze! It also has a ton more positives to it then negatives. Its applications range from medical use to clothing.
Believe what you want but I just ask that you take some time to study before you regurgitate what your one sided books have told you. (And I’m an IU Bio Psych Undergrad student)

Personally, I’m not a fan of the whole “gateway drug” phenomenon - that is, that pot leads one to other drugs. What is a fact is that people who use “strong substances” have used pot in their past — Make of it what you will, its simply a non debatable fact. In regards to what is more harmful, pot or cigs or booze, well, thats open for argument. What is non debatable is that any abused substance is harmful. Its interesting that you choose to tell me to study before I “regurgitate what one sided books have told me.” It appears to me that you think I read texts like some blank slate who is willing to accept anything that I read as truth. As a fellow Bio Psych major I’d assume you would know that us Bio Psych majors dig deep and use biological explanations at the micro cellular level as ultimate truths that are ALWAYS open to be modified with more and more research. At least I’d assume. Here is some info and feel free to discuss this:

Non debatable facts:
1.Pot mainly affects the Central Nervous System.
2.Pot alters moods, coordination, memory, and self-perception.(amongst other things)
3.Increased usage of pot causes hallucinations, delusions, anxiety, and paranoia.
4.The THC in pot alters several neurotransmitter systems in the brain.
5.Pot has unpredictable effects in behavior, memory, etc.

Debatable fact:
Pot users claim heightened awareness of surroundings, a slowing of time, hunger and a dry mouth.

Now compare the facts and the beliefs. I personally, dont want any pot uses driving while he/she is high. I dont want any pot users doing any kind of heavy work. In essence, under the influence of pot, people are not 100% there. While you could argue that, for argument sake, you’re at a 80% mental capacity while smoking weed and someone you know is at 70% capacity when in perfect shape, it becomes your burden to prove your capacity. And that is the problem; no one has been able to prove that pot helps. Real talk though…ask yourself…do you really NEED pot? Does anyone really NEED it? I can understand its medical uses…but are you so down, or so stressed that you MUST use it? You can get a runner’s high by sprinting a few laps…and you even help out your cardio with that…why not sprint over pot? _Timby_

“Personally, I’m not a fan of the whole “gateway drug” phenomenon - that is, that pot leads one to other drugs. This arguement has always been silly to me because 100% of heavy drug users have also had MILK!!! So using your logic milk is the ultimate gateway drug!! Go back to college.

kirk kirt kirt. Its simply a POSITIVE CORRELATION. It appears to me you aren’t a college student. Any psychology book you read never gives you and ultimate undeniable fact from a report it is talking about — it simply suggests that under a certain condition, certain results were obtained….come on buddy, think
