The UFC 86: “Jackson vs. Griffin” pay-per-view (PPV) event that took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 5 will re-air tonight for free on Spike TV, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
Of course, the special presentation coincides with Elite XC: “Heat” on CBS “Saturday Night Fights,” meaning that mixed martial arts fans have several programming options this evening from which to choose.
UFC 86 features the five-round thriller between Quintion “Rampage” Jackson and Forrest Griffin in the main event with Jackson’s 205-pound title on the line. It’s a fantastic fight that is on the short list of “Fight of the Year” candidates for 2008.
Here is the rest of the televised line up:
185 lbs.: Patrick Cote (12-4) vs. Ricardo Almeida (9-2)
155 lbs.: Joe Stevenson (28-8) vs. Gleison Tibau (15-5)
170 lbs.: Josh Koscheck (10-2) vs. Chris Lytle (25-15)
155 lbs.: Tyson Griffin (11-1) vs. Marcus Aurelio (16-5)
In addition, the promotion will also cram in two more great never before seen fights from UFC Fight Night 15 last month — Joe Lauzon vs. Kyle Bradley and Alessio Sakara vs. Joe Vedepo — during the two-hour Spike TV broadcast.
UFC 86 is just the culmination of all-day MMA programming on the network. In fact, UFC Fight Night 13 will also re-air at at 1 p.m. ET followed by a three-hour mini marathon of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 “Team Nogueira vs Team Mir” from 4 to 7 p.m. ET.
And last but certainly not least, two hours of “UFC Unleashed” will air right before the UFC 86 rebroadcast from 7 to 9 p.m, ET, featuring “Griffin vs. Bonnar I, Jardine vs. Griffin, Liddell vs. Ortiz II and much more.”
Aren’t “Saturday Fight Nights” fun?
Remember that MMAmania.com will also provide complete Elite XC: “Heat” coverage this weekend, including round-by-round, blow-by-blow live results later on this evening from the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., beginning with the under card action at around 6: 30 p.m. ET.

counter programming is never a bad thing.
You’re out of your mind Lee, I think you got every pick wrong
Wtf? I paid $50 bucks for this damn ppv and not only was it boring (except for the main event) but now their showing it for free!
yeah that card sucked
this is pure silly for mania to post this unless they are fore counter-programming
we all will be watching elite xc
Remember when the ufc would show the whole card or at least more than 2.5 hours worth!! for less than 50$??
