It’s a battle of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) contestants as season six alumnus Matt “No Regard” Arroyo (3-2) is scheduled to face season seven’s Daniel Cramer (0-0) at UFC 94 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 31, according to WrestlingObserver.com.

Arroyo was last seen getting pounded out by Matt Brown at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale back in June. This will actually be Dan Cramer’s first professional fight despite a 3-0 amateur record and making it all the way to the TUF 7 quarterfinals.

This should prove to be an interesting fight between two competitors who match up pretty well.

UFC 94 will feature the welterweight superfight between former 170-pound champion and current lightweight kingpin BJ Penn versus current welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.

“Rush” first fought “The Prodigy” back at UFC 58 in 2006. The two battled back-and-forth in a very close fight that ultimately ended in a split-decision – one hotly contested by Penn and his followers ever since. Now he finally has his rematch – and a chance to settle the score.

GREAT FIGHT! I have been wanting to see “Granite Chin” back in action for sometime now. The UFC needs to do a better job of getting its TUF fighters in trhe cage more often.

I still havent gotten to see Tim Crueder or George siritopolous

Arroyo can’t strike, so i really hope dan comes out on top.

Dan went down to 170 also. That season was a bunch of small MW’s. Amir should go down also.

Cramer a very gifted athlete, but i havent seen any fighter in him (yet IMO). I hope he shows some real tenacity in this fight, because all the potential is there.

Man this should be a good undercard to one of the greatest rematches of our time IMO. Statistically, St.Pierre wins, but Penn would beat ‘em up again. And he won’t get submitted by GSP.

There’s a chance though that he would get out-wrestled by GSP. But Penn is too smart for that stuff. They don’t call him the Prodigy for nothin’!

Negation, GSP will do the same as their 1st fight… take him down and beat BJ on the ground… BJ would win the standup war because he can take a punch like no other and not get cut or swollen… GSP will get cut from BJ’s jab that always finds it’s mark.

Hence, GSP is a smart fighter and he will just use his size and speed advantage to take BJ to the ground and lay n’ pray out a win.

BJ has great takedown defense but GSP has proven he can takedown anyone including a smaller BJ Penn.

TUF isn’t offering enough anymore so the good prospects pass it up to try to make it to the UFC through traditional methods. Now we have dudes who are 3-2 and 0-0 fighting on UFC under cards because they were willing to get contracts that take advantage of them by going on TUF. They need to give the winner real perks, not a 9 fight contract with no guarantees or pay raises.

i see arroyo taking this one. hes had some time since the show to really come around with his skills. cramer might shock some people though. i see this being a 3 round war. cramer just needs some more time in the cage to get comfortable.

Cramer fights like an am fighter, Arroyo will submit him possibly within the first 3 minutes.

IM sure Cramer has joined a camp since then and will show much more discipline and improvement but I would have to agree that Aroyo will sub him.

all ive heard about ufc 94- cramer and arroyo WILL BE A UNDERCARD FIGHT!!! main event most likley st pierre vs Penn for the welterweight title and a returning Matt Serra versus either an also returning Karo Parysian or chris lytle if this is true it would definatly rest on chris lytle beating paul taylor because matt serra is unikely to beat karo unless his injury is still a factor but yeah.

im from same town as dan cramer i dont think there are any mma training camps in the area so im interested to see where he is training now…from the show i think arroyo has a real good chance of submitting dan but if they stand dan can take some punishment and i think he has better stand up

THERE ARE ALOT OF CAMPS IN CT BUDDY … AND DAN TRAINS WITH AMERICAN TOP TEAM! HAS FOR A LONG TIME. HIS JIU JITSU IS GOOD TOO SO DONT THINK HE IS GOING TO BE SUBMITTED CAUSE HE’S NOT! DAN WILL DESTROY HIM. HE WORKS HARD AND HAS THE SKILLS.

DAN TRAINS WITH AMERICAN TOP TEAM, HES BEEN OUT WITH A COLLAR BONE INJURY BUT HE’S GOOD NOW.DONT FORGET EVEN THOUGH HE LIKES TO STAND AND BANG HE IS REALLY A JU JITSU FIGHTER.I THINK HE’LL GROUND AND POUND HIM WHICH HE LIKES TO DO OR HE’LL TAP OUT MATT. CRAMERS GOT THIS IN THE BAG, FOR SURE!

I think Cramer has better striking than Arroyo, but when Cramer fought Creduer he got submitted in the first round. If Cramer can keep it standing I think he will get the W, but if it goes to the ground, Aroyyo can probably pull of a nice submission.

Im taking Cramer TKO 2nd round.

Arroyo wins this in brutal fashion. Cramer will freeze up and Arroyo is fighting for a contract plus redemption after the Brown fight which he was doing good in until he broke his ankle. Arroyo, 1st round via bloody TKO.

All this talk about Cramer’s ATT camp…how about Arroyo’s camp in Tampa under Rob Kahn?
