wow, lots of action on kimbo. my 500 is gonna make me 1625 at these odds. Cmon kenny, just submit him…although from what I hear, kimbo doesn’t hit very hard. NOt too many ko’s against street guys, none in mma (tank i guess), ken might have a shot, god knows kimbo has no cardio!!!
like the elite xc version of rampage jackson … mans trying to make his living , could fight better people than cans on 8 fight lose streaks but mabey one day he’ll get some quality .
man i thought sex would help get your mind off of sex and let you focus more on training you know what i mean, so its not on your mind when you need to focus. i dont understand why going 2-3 months without it would help.
I wouldnt either to tell you the truth. And actually I’ve heard quite the oppposite from quite a few fighters, Chuck, Hughes and Randy are some of the ones that have said that they ignore abstinence (Chuck even mentions it in his book).
Me personally, I think it helps you relax.
I’m pretty sure that you lose testosterone when you engage in sexual activities. I think that is why fighters do that.

They experimented this on sports science (a tv show for those who do not know) with I think Chris Byrd??, a boxer, and it showed that sex the night before did not have any negative effect on physical performance.
Yeah, the reason for the whole “no sex” thing is to “keep your testosterone”. Which, yes, it’s proven that there is testosterone loss during sex.
Some athletes believe testosterone loss is a bad thing. That’s where they’re wrong. Too much loss, yes. But sex doesn’t add up to said loss.
Personally, I’ve never let a fight or a game (when I played other sports) stop me from having sex. If anything, the sex helps keep me relaxed and focused on training.

I have to admit that I’m warming up to this guy. Although Kimmel’s skills definitely give him a boost, he really comes across as a genuine and funny guy with a difficult past trying to provide for his family. And he has a son named Kevlar.

Not at all, I just cringe when a talk show host says something ridiculous about knocking someone’s ear off and Kimbo goes along with it.
Stop hating. I dont care what you guys say. This man does a service for MMA. Alot of ppl see him as this thug black guy whose from the streets and represents the gutter. But when you see him do these live interviews. He really comes off as a likeable person, who tries his best, and loves this sport. GET OFF HIS CASE. I know hes not a complete fighter. But neither are alot of fighters. OH FUCKING WELL. Best of luck to him in the future. I dont care if Ken wins this fight. Win or lose Ken needs to retire. I dont wanna see this man get permanently damaged.

I don’t know why you guys keep dissing Kimbo. I’m not a big Fan of Kimbo but let’s give him some respect just for being a fighter. It’s probably not his fault for being matched up with not so popular opponents. I will always root for him when he is not fighting any current UFC fighters but it’s always fun watching him fight.
He’s the one signing the contracts. And quite frankyl i find it disgusting that he’s fighting Ken Shamrock. I for one would not fight Ken especially in the condition he’s in, where it’s getting dangerous to keep on fighting. I have no respect for Kimbo at all.
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t know who he was going to fight when he signed his contract. I’m sure EliteXC and his manager picks his opponents when the time comes. If EliteXC asks Kimbo if he agrees to fight a certain fighter, I’m sure he, personally, is always going to say yeah.
That’s the commissioner’s job to deicde that….not yours.

I like how he failed to mention that James Thompson had cauliflower ear. hahaha They made it seem like Kimbo punched off a guys ear at will.

Personally, I like Kimbo. When I first heard about him going pro I thought he would just be some brawling thug. I figured he’d be one of those idiots that got interviewed after fights saying stupid crap like “I’m from the streets, what, detroit, what, I’m from the Lou, what, what. What you got son, you ain’t got nuthin son, step back son.” But he really flipped that around. He’s got good on camera charisma and I think that regardless of his skill level he is good for the sport.
