A Chinese martial artist returns to Shanghai to find his teacher dead and his school harassed by occupying Japanese forces. He has but one choice – to avenge his master‘s murder and restore his school‘s honor.
Widely regarded as the greatest film of two legendary careers, Fist of Legend teams superstar Jet Li with martial arts choreographer Yuen Woo-ping (The Matrix) for perhaps the best fight scenes you will ever see (The final battle is ranked #5 Best Fight Scene Ever by Rotten Tomatoes).
In this tribute to Bruce Lee’s classic The Chinese Connection (aka Fists of Fury), Li radiates sheer power and coolness as a kung fu phenom living abroad who returns home to avenge the death of his master and save his martial arts school.
Shifting effortlessly among diverse fighting styles, Li proves why he is heir to the throne in this martial arts masterpiece.

One time Bruce Lee asked me to stop punching him.
Dude,
You are the biggest troll on this site. I cannot believe that Mania even lets you post your stuff all the time. None of your comments are EVER funny or witty.
Agree!!!
You know, after becoming a fan of mixed martial arts, I simply can’t enjoy a good ol fashioned chop sockey movie anymore (anyone here old enough to remember Kung Fu Theatre as a kid on Saturday afternoons?). I keep watching and thinking, ah BJ would kill this guy, or Silva would KO him, or if that guy hurt Fedor’s master he’d rip his arm off and beat him with it. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a few of the classics, but other than that, it’s kind of faded for me.
hahaha kind of like watching boxing. Mike Tyson used to be the baddest man on the planet. Even he were in his prime and went to MMA, he would have no ground game to survive and could even lose in the stand up due to kicks.
Ya same here, its just not the same anymore. Its the same with wrestling (wwf or wwe) I still don’t get how grown men can even watch this stuff and be so into the plots and theatricks of it all. Its like it was cool when you were 12, but grown up already.
hahaha no kidding! I used to watch WWE (WWF when I watched it) when I was younger, then I moved to Alaska and I kind of lost track of it for a few years. One night I saw that it was on so I went to watch it and I was in shock at how ridiculous it was. The flips off of the turnbuckles and stuff are cool but outside of the athleticism, it’s incredibly lame.
are you sure you aren’t still 12? based on your spelling i wouldn’t put you much older than that.
How do you come up with that?? Just because I missed the spelling on one word? My not writing a thesis paper its an MMA forum! If I spell one word on here incorrectly that makes me no older than 12 years old?
Sorry I’m not anal about spelling, we can’t all be duche bag professional spellers like you.
kitsunex didn’t capitalize the beginning of his sentences! JEEPERS!
this is one of my favorite Jet Li movies.
This is a great flick indeed!.Classic, a remake of Bruce Lee’s ‘Fist of fury’.
One of my(if not) my favorite Jet Li movies as well..
Dragon Dynasty is awesome..I love what they are doing!!I cant believe the rest of mania doesn’t appreciate a good ninja movie..I just watched the “tai chi master” another great Jet Li flick, just the other day..
Other great Dragon Dynasty movies that are a MUST watch are;
Killzone
Fatal Contact
Drunken Master(old jakie chan flick, classic)
Man, i still cant believe others around here dont watch ninja flicks….just crazy?
LOL, don’t get me wrong, I used to LOVE them. My Saturday’s as a kid (if it was raining outside) consisted of cartoons (back when they were worth watching: Bugs Bunny anyone?), then a Godzilla flick, followed by Kung Fu Action Theatre, then a grade B horror movie!
This is beyond the fringe of mma news.
I remember not watching WWF for a super long time. Back in the day Hulk Hogan was like this golden haired love child. Then it was on years later and I watched it for a few minutes and he was holding this kid dressed in slacks down with a group of his friends while another dude whipped him on the back several times with a belt. Things had definitely changed.
I love this movie btw. Once Upon a time in china series is awesome too. As well as Kung Fu Hustle and all of Bruce Lee’s movies.
wow u guys are advertising a dvd after an evan tanner tribute…jerks
Life goes on dude what are they supposed to do stop running the site
I have owned this dvd for a long time now. It is by far the best fight movie on the planet. Tops them all.
