Thats what Im hoping for!!!! I think Rashad will get tagged and just try to survive? After Rashad gets hit he will just go for takedowns the whole fight (with no success) Im hoping for an old school ICEMAN KO!!!! Ive always liked when he goes crazy after a KO!

The closer this gets the more excited I get. I love any card with Chuck. At this point there is really no doubt in my mind that we will see Rashad get KTFO!!

haha that would be a great caption contest pic because of that guy…. he looks like he’s about tell rashad about how happy he is that he’s not him, or big enough to replace him.

I am curious to here where all your excitement levels are at for this event? Hyped up? or just whatever?

Rashad’s going to a decision. lol

For me, I’m really not that much hyped up for UFC 88, as compared to UFC 84 and 87! But in any case, as BNF and JV puts it, any card w/ the Iceman in it is well worth it…And look at the pic. The Iceman is intent on knockin’ out Sugar[w/no spice] and all this time Rashad looks as if he treats all of this like a joke. Looks like he’s just about to smirk.

i can see it going the same as when he fought white, i think rashad’s chin will hold up for the first few shots but i still see chuck getting the KO. As for the franklin fight i’m still undecided on who will win, when hamill fought boetsch his chin held up well with those knees, i’m hoping franklin can get the tko but i can see hamill holding him down for 3 rounds

Thats true, I can see Rashad landing a shot, Chuck gets rocked, then Rashad takes him down and ground n pounds him into a ref stoppage.

Oh definitely. Anything can happen. The odds aren’t stacked very high against Rashad. Chuck is aging, and Rashad is young and undefeated. Chuck usually can handle wrestlers, but in light of that recent injury, he may not do as well. At his age, it might not heal as quickly. Plus Chuck has a history of going into fights injured because he still could beat them. I’m not sure if he still can. I just hope he doesn’t underestimate anymore of his opponents. It wouldn’t be smart.

I wonder if Rashad has a good chin? With a perfect record, he has yet to have been knocked out so it makes you wonder. He might be able to handle Chucks punches.

Yeah good point. I find it ironic that he is a small light heavyweight, yet he managed to win on the heavyweight TUF. That’s impressive. Dana White has even admitted to underestimating Rashad.

“I will just let my hands go and see what happens”

I seriously doubt it.

Remember Evans’s last fight? against a smaller Bisping! he said he would put a beating on Bisping! but he was so gassed after 1 round it was unreal! Bisping could of got the win but Evans used the lay without any prey tactic!

Don’t underestimate “Sugar”. He was supposed to lose every fihgt he has fouhgt in the UFC.He’s got the chin and is more of an MMA figher than the one dimensional pot belly puncher ( ohh I’m sorry the spinning back fist /puncher ) ice cream man.Go Rashad !

I will take the unpopular route and say that Evans will defeat Chuck. Chuck says he is not coming in this over confident but everything he has also said leading up to this fight oozes of over confidence and just like he had no respect for Jardine he is showing equally disrespect for Evans.

The thing I laugh at is that everyone is acting like Evans has a mediocure chin… When has he ever displayed anything other than a solid chin? On top of that he fights with unorthadox standup style that allows him to roll with punches easier because he rarely gives his opponent a target to hit flush. Chuck on the other hand we already know doesn’t have the most sound of chin… When you get to Chuck you can hurt him thats a fact that Rampage, Jardine, and even Wandy all proved when each of them was able to either floor or Rock Liddell. Chuck should win this fight but if Evans were to stop trying to be exciting as folks have been urging him to be and go back to fighting smart which is what got him his undefeated streak he will have MORE than a chance at winning. Force Chuck to take the lead and dont just chase him all night letting him T off when your coming in and Evans will be okay.

Evans by Split Decision or Unanimous Decision… I know its unpopular but thats my position on it

Thank you Tommy Bradford! I have been trying to say this lately as well. Chuck parties and doesn’t take his opponents seriously and this leads to his downfall! He didn’t do that with Wandi and he did great! He still has it him but he mentally needs to focus on his career right now if he wants it to last any longer!
