Karo is sooooooooo lying when he says that he would rather excite the crowd and lose the fight than win the fight in boring fashion. Hmmmmm. Anyone remember the Chonan fight?? I do. Also, he excites the crowd when he gets KO’d like in the Alves fight. So according to Karo, he is more happy with the Alves fight than the Chonan fight? That doesn’t sound like the Karo that I have been following for 7 or so years.

I like Karo and think most of his fights have been exciting. I am pulling for Karo in this fight, but I have never seen Yoshida, so if he gives a really good performance and wins I will not be upset.

Karo! Don’t leave it to the cards!
Karo needs to fight Sanchez again that was a great fight, or at least let’s get him to fight Josh Koscheck! (or Jon Fitch)That would be a good fight at a weight TBD

Karo Needs to lose this fight and get sent out of the UFC. I’ve never liked this Porky Bastard. He should drop down to 155, and if he does, Me might be more exiting to watch, and might actaully win some fights.

KAro wouldn’t make the commitment to drop down to 155. HE loves his lovehandles too much to lose ‘em, lol!

First of all the guy conducting this interview needs to stop sucking on karo ball sack and telling him hes a crowd favorite. I was at pretty massive bar when he got KO and 99% of the people were not cheering for him. I’m honestly sick and tired of hearing about this guy. I hope Yoshida submits him.

He may have been a crowd favorite at a certain time, but most people have caught on to the fact hes a duche bag full of excuses. Hes played out, all he wants are easy fights and a shot at the title.

Yeah VM, Karo is lying if he says he’d rather lose an exciting fight. When Wandi says it, I believe it – Karo, not so much.

Karo is a dbag and I for one have him losing this fight.

Yoshida has a chance to win this fight for sure. And like I said in a previous thread, I am really starting to like Hamill to win a decision against Franklin.

A Hamill/Yoshida parlay pays out at +740 (about 7 and a half to 1).

But I would prefer to have my small Hamill bet be in a 2 man parlay with a favorite. For example, Hamill and Chuck, which pays at like 2.6 to 1

You have to admit that Karo has some skill. It’s his head thats all wrong. His ego was through the roof before he fought Alves. Now, he’s doing/saying whatever he can to convince himself that he is still a worthy fighter, but with a hint of doubt. I’m not buying anything he sells, he has to back it up at this point. Even though he said he did everything different to prepare himsef for this fight, he doesn’t sound too confident. But, what can you expect from a guy whos back is against the wall, one can’t help but to think of the negative repercussions of losing after losing. Regardless of his personality, I, for one, like to watch for his crazy Judo, it’s impressive. But, he just kills my interest for him everytime a syllable is uttered from his mouth.

The one time he actually refers to himself in 1st person instead of refering to himself as “Karo” in the 3rd person, he actually announces it by saying, “I am going to say this in the 1st person…” LOLOL

Lol, typical Karo. That sh*t annoyes me when any fighter refers himself in the third person. BJ is so guilty of that. I’m a huge fan of a fighters success, especially when they are modest about it. That’s is why Silva and Fedor will always have that edge, IMO.

IMO Karo is the better fighter, younger stronger and for a change Karo is the better striker in this match. I actually see this fight standing up and trading blows, and when it comes to the clinch they will neutralize each other and ref will probably break it up. I’m not quite familiar with Youshida’s punching power but I just don’t see him Knocking out Karo therefore I think in the end Karo with a statement victory. After Karo wins this we (mma fans) wanna see Karo vs Finch.

So let’s see… According to Karo, Karo’s biggest trait is his natural-born skill and talent. Karo says that what Karo has been lacking is just training and mindset. Karo says that Karo has been training 5 times as much for Karo’s next fight, so that shouldn’t be a factor now.

So this necessarily means that if Yoshida makes a quick example of Karo, that his natural-born skill and talent should be in question.

It’s something that can happen to any fighter that faces a top-notch fighter like Yoshida, but Karo’s words are putting Karo in a very tight position.

For those that is thinking of putting money down on Karo should be careful. Watch Yoshida’s past two fights, I have and he looks very impressive. Just some friendly advice. In contrast Karo looked very sloppy and predictable in his last two outings. He is definitely not the clear cut favorite here in my book.

Nick Thompson is one comes to mind that was tko by karo. You are right he is more of submission and control fighter. He has relied on his skills in judo too much in the past which has restricted him to certain game plan. In this one with Youshida being a Judo guy also, so I think TKO is the only way they could win and I think Karo is better strikes and heavier hands. Do not underestimate Karo he means business this time around.

Technically that was ruled as a submission, but will give it to you due to the fact that it was submission due to strikes.

So technically I am still right, but will accept an asterick mark next to the statement.

Karo says his biggest problem is that he is “too skilled”, so he does not always train hard enough. Maybe that is why humble fighters like Fedor and Randy win, because they are not so high on themselves and are motivated to train harder. Karo also thinks the crowd goes crazy when he does a Judo throw. He certainly excels at Judo and incorporates an occasional good throw, but I don’t consider it to be as exciting as a good slam, submission or knockout. Although I appreciate the skill and dedication of those trained in Judo, it seems to be about the most boring martial art to me.

I enjoy his intervies as well Hes confident in himself hes entertaining in and out of the cage.

if a guy like gray maynard can improve his standup and outbox and outstrategize frank edgar, so can karo. and since when does it have to be either exiciting OR the win? all brutal finishes are exciting!
