Hey RealDrew don’t ever help Randy prepare for a fight. Your plan of attack is for Randy to lose the first 3 rounds, then beat him for the last 2? Why so he can lose 48-47?

I know it was in the GP. I’m a Wand fan BTW, he’s a true people’s warrior. But all the grand prix fights they had the fight made their titles less meaningful. In fact, I would argue that grand prix champs got more recognition, save for Fedor. But now that the UFC is having a mini-tourney of their own, it all of a sudden sets the sport back to the days when Tank Abbott was knocking random dudes out. I’m just pointing out a double-standard that some people has. The bottom line is this: at the end of the tourney (plus the Werdum title shot), we will have a legit champ of the UFC, and likely the recognized number 2 HW in the world.

Tim had one fight left on his contract or was done with his contract.. I can’t remember… and it’s hard to compare the two since Randy is a big drawl and Tim is not.. If Randy had lost and went out saying he was going to still fight fedor in a big new years eve bash for some start up MMA company’s first big pay per view you don’t think the UFC would be all over them? Don’t you think Tito would have left before if he could have.. he’s a big drawl and the UFC would have made him finish his contract.

I think if Randy got his ass handed to him by Gonzaga, and was no longer the champ, the UFC would not have necessarily made him fight the final 2 fights on his contract, and may have let him move to Affliction.

yeah and if you look at fights, Herring is far more experienced than Randy and has been in there with more top HWs than randy has.

Sure he tested postive for steroids, but you know what, even a Barnett on steriods isn’t nearly as strong and powerful as Brock Lesnar.
