The hugging and gratuitous man-love does not amuse me. I feel a little sickened over the whole thing. Anyone else feel like they just got played these past 11 months?

Nice find. And just for the record isn’t Dana White blogging the ultimate contradiction? I thought we were all knuckleheads.

what!? did you all think it wasent gonna happen? only two thing could have happened in this situation….randy wait another eternity to fight Fedor and possibly face lawsuit for contract breach. or couture would give in and fight in the UFC to get it at all over with..he makes a lil more moeny than he use to..dana makes a few exceptions for his case. lesnar gets his big chance…couture get the fight of the century deal going on. i really dont care anymore….i just want to see fights and more of them everytime…i dont care who were or what it is. no reason to feel played…dana talked like dana always does. tito will be back as well if affliction doesnt get him first. in the end the all these fighters know the difference between a quick and big payday and an investment…they know they can get that nice check in affliction…but the investment is in the UFC…long term effect to your whole career. if you fought once in the ufc everyone wants to sign you. they see your face enough on the ufc everyone will knoe who you are..look at Tito…he sucks…but we know his name everywhere!

When Dana kept grabbing his knee, and tring to Wrestle with him, that was kinda Creepy, I love Brock going off at the end and Dana saying he might be his son though lol. This fight is going to be fucking huge!! and I’m going to miss this In bootcamp, What bad timing.

lmfao, i was thinking the same thing. When they were sitting on the couch together in the first part of the video and Dana had his arm sorta around Couture I was like “dude, it looks they’re gonna make out.”

There was just a little too much male bonding going on in there for a couple of grown men who aren’t even related. I mean they were acting like brothers.

Jesse, what we saw was a very public dispute. After the court venue moved to Las Vegas. Couture realized he was going to have to go through that whole freakin’ legal process again. Time is ticking and the landscape of the heavyweight division changed, there r some new interesting challenges for Couture and they re-negotiated a new big fat contract. Yeah… my opinion of Couture is altered, but I don’t feel played… it’s just a turn of decisions and events.

I don’t know how to take this. I understand why Randy is still the champ (strictly for legal reasons), but all this “Randy is the man, Randy is the UFC champ” stuff quite frankly chaffs my @ss. I just feel like Nog is getting sh*t on more than a little. That said, I think Lesnar takes this.

Don’t feel played as I don’t think it was fake or a set up, but it was overly exagerated by Dana to try and put this behind the company and move on.

Brock saying “who gives a sh*t about Fedor” And Dana “Brock might be my son” LMFAO!!! thats what Im talking about! Dana is the man, I dont care what anybody says! The UFC gets to stick it to Affliction and any other Org. trying to make money off Couture! The only real big PPV #’s that Affliction could have had, would have been Randy/Fedor.

I agree 100%, obviously Randy knows exactly what he’s doing in going back to the UFC. Dana is the man! He may not be everyone’s favourite guy, but at the end of the day, I believe that what Dana and the Ferittita’s did with the UFC are one of the big reasons any of us really care about this sport.

Regarding the new level of friendliness, I think it demonstrates two things: (1) money talks, and (2) Randy was misinformed and misdirected when he left the UFC last year.

I hope they can engineer a Couture vs. Fedor fight.

Randy may have wanted Fedor, but now he has Lesnar. I think Lesnar presents a legit threat, on the level of Fedor, though obviously not at the same skill level as Fedor. However, Lesnar does bring a different set of problems for Couture to overcome. I can see why he’d agree to this, aside from a huge payday.

WAR RANDY!

good move by Dana. Since its in Vegas will be interesting to see how much more Randy is getting as a base pay.

Also – those saying Randy is bad and sold his soul to the devil – try to involve yourself with a company worth $1 billion in litigation and see how expensive it gets knowing there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Randy spent a MINIMUM $250k on this and it was only getting started… then factor in appeals and everything else. Zuffa would have made sure he never fought again.

I love that Randy is back. I think by sitting on the sidelines over the past year, he has seen that none of these other shows are in serious competition with the UFC, so he had no choice to come back if he wants to keep fighting. You can never count Randy out so all I can say is that this is going to be a great fight. Randy will have is work cut out for him and I think his greatest chance of winning will be to drag it out to the later rounds. I don’t know if Brock can go 5 hard paced rounds like Randy can.

So much for Affliction getting Fedor vs. Randy on New Year’s Eve.

The only hope left for them on New Year’s Eve is to have Fedor vs. Barnett and to sign Tito and have him fight Babalu.

Randy came back with his tail under his legs. Sad. And Dana, to humiliate him more gave him Brock lesnar. Randy won many unbelievable fights but this one he will be destroy. Lesnar is angry and will keep going making statements. Randy is tired and burned.

A year ago Randy said that there was just one fight left for him and that it would be against Fedor. He had the chance to fight Nog back then and I for one would have loved to have seen it. What does a win against a fighter with a 3 and 2 record do for couture’s legacy (let alone a loss)? I’m sure he could of worked out a one fight contract for fedor somehow over the next year or so. And yeh I know he’s 45 and times running out but training for (and fighting) Lesnor and Nog/Mir will age him a hell of a lot more than staying in shape and having a bit more of a lay off. I Love Randy just like everyone else and come fight night I’m gonna be screaming like a little school girl, but I would have loved to see him fight Fedor so much more, and I just cant see it ever coming off now.

randy is going to make alot more money fighing brock then he would fighting fedor, fedor is a great fighter but he doesnt not have a fan following like brock, brock has millions upon millions of fans from his wwe days. this is going to be a mega fight and if randy thought fighting fedor would be a huge ppv success wait till he sees the numbers this fight pulls in this is the biggest fight ever, we are not even on ufc 88 but ufc 91 is already on sportscenter this fight is going to be huge and i mean huuuuuuuuugggggggeeee

Randy left the UFC for one reason–money. He believed that fighting Fedor would lead to a mega paycheck. If he continued fighting in the UFC for peanuts and lost, he would forfeit that huge future payout when he fought Fedor. Now, he can look forward to an even bigger paycheck by fighting Lesnar. That is the reason he came back to the UFC. Randy may only have a few fights left, so he is just being business savvy and trying to milk them for all they are worth. Who can blame him?
