yeah, I was still confused if he was going to fight wandy or not, finally this argument has been put to rest as both has officially spoken on camera about it. Shogun speaks the truth about fedor too! but the translator only said who he feels is the best fighter in the world, not the best p4p in the world (I think there is a difference and he could have a different answer, I wish the translator had done a better job, he speaks perfect english but his portuguese is not great).

I’m still SHOCKED Forrest beat him… that was the biggest upset of 2007 in my opinion. But of course the UFC tries to make it sound like it wasn’t an upset and that their guys are just better then Pride guys. Really trivial stuff when the UFC does that considering they own Pride now.
I hope Shogun gets the title one day. He is my 2nd favorite fighter behind BJ.

I’m sure a second fight between the two would have a different outcome.

I agree! Even with an acl snapped in one of his knees, it was a competitive fight until the third round. A healthy Shogun, with his trademark energizer bunny cardio, will DESTROY not only forrest but most guys at 205

medecine: I agree. I too feel that he is the most impressive LHW I have ever seen. He is a MONSTER in the stand up and a genius on the ground

I wouldn’t agree much about that “Energizer Bunny Cardio” stuff. Did you see how he gassed during the Forrest fight? His fists were literally droopin’!…If not for the ACL injury, he would make mincemeat out of Forrest, with that Chute Box style of his! I just love his capoeira-inspired flying kicks and stomps to the ground. I miss the PRIDE days, hhe!!

Hold on now, Shogun will clean up until he has to fight Machida who will systematically dismantle Shogun with not too much trouble!

I doubt it, machida will have problems with strikers in the caliber of shogun and wandy, I’m sure of it (but I think he’ll still give thiago a run for his money).

Lets just hope Shogun stays healthy. It was the second injury to the same knee.

I think shogun should fight machida next if machida wins or loses, i think it would be a good test for machida.

I would like to see him fight either Sokodju, Machida, Thiago S. or even Tito if he is back with the UFC, but the one fight that i would love is Shogun vs. the old Vitor Belfort now that would be a sick fight. Shogun is definitly at the top of the 205 lbs rankings but he is not completly unbeatable Babalu beat him using jiu jitsu and Forest handed him his ass even though it wasen’ t the best Shogun. I don t even know if he would beat Tito but he is definetly a sick ass fighter and makes all his opponents tremble, who can forget PRIDE GP 2005.

Yeah get shogun back to his normal health and cardio back up. He is just nasty, other fighters will have there hands full.
