Jim Miller (11-1) and David Baron (16-2) will lock lock horns in a lightweight affair at UFC 89: “Bisping vs. Leben” at The National Indoor Arena (NIA) in Birmingham, England, on October 18, according to MMAWeekly.com.
This will will mark the first fight inside the Octagon for Miller who has plied his trade primarily in smaller shows throughout New Jersey. In fact, his only loss was a unanimous decision to top 155-pound contender, Frank Edgar.
In his last fight Miller graduated to take on stiffer competition and did not back down, defeating the very tough and experienced Bart Palaszewski via unanimous decision under the International Fight League (IFL) banner back in April
Baron, too, will also be making his Octagon debut. The French fighter stunned the mixed martial arts world recently when he submitted Hayato “Mach” Sakurai with a guillotine choke at a Shooto event in May.
He has strung together five straight wins since a submission loss to Takanori Gomi back in the Pride FC heyday. His only other career loss is to Per Eklund.
UFC 89 is set to air for free on Spike TV, featuring a middleweight showdown between Chris Leben and Michael Bisping, as well as several other solid match ups. To check out the latest UFC 89 card and fight rumors click here.

this better meen that there is still gng 2 be a couple of more real good feature fights at 90
the names may not be big, but when you put it like that, baron 16-2 with a sub victory over mach and his only 2 career losses where to per and gomi, vs miller who is 11-1 with a defeat of bart P. and only career loss to frankie edgar, these could be stars in the making. i know im just para-phrasing, but thanks for the background info. it defenitley makes me interested in this match-up.
I have seen the Baron vs. Gomi fight, the kid is tough
Looking forward to it
Jim Miller is an incredible prospect, and this fight should be a great one.
David Baron : the fight vs ” Gomi” was his first large combat in a great competition. There were much pressure and Baron could not express his style of fight to its right value. his defeat vs “Eklund” (unanimous decision)is strange and the fight was in Sweden against Swedish. not a very beautiful match anyway.
David is a great fighter, intelligent and opportunist I think he will win.
