I cant believe BJ Penn lost. I think BJ was robbed from the first fight against GSP. I also think BJ Penn took second fight for granted , BJ was taking a Holiday instead of Working out like a Maniac. Hence GSP beat the crap out of BJ Penn. However if BJ is in shape and trains like a FREAK he will beat the crap out of GSP , But if he is lazy his third rematch will then be a failure. I dont think GSP is that great and I dont even think Anderson Silva is that great either. I would love to see Anderson Silva versus Mirko Crocop.
As far as UFC is concerned only one fighter get my respect and that fighter is Fedor.

I wish they would start showing all the fights. I hate to see blood on the mat for the first fight viewed. They should show all fights undercard and all. Anyway, BJ finally got his big mouth shut. Who’s the “QUITTER” now. So much for manning up to GSP. He got totally dominated. Once again BJ’s work ethics got him in trouble. He was already tired in round 2. Not saying BJ isn’t a great fighter, but he should start living up to being a real champion. Be respectful of the game and your opponents. That’s a champion. Example, Anderson Silva…GSP…Fedor.

I tottally agree. I think some kind of rule must be put in place to dictate how ranking works, it’s only fair. (See: Lesnar vs. Couture). Buuuuut having said that i really do want this fight so i think, in the case of previous title holders or current title holders, or just downright slaughter fests (See: Silva vs. Leben) exceptions should be made. We wouldnt want to see Fedor take on some nobody we’d want him to take out Lesnar or Battle Couture.

I agree it seems, in the UFC, if you want a title shot, all you have to do is:
1. Be from pride (which is a legit reason to be given a title shot)
2. Be a proffesional WWE wrestler with a 1-1 record in the UFC (how the fuck did that happen?)
3. Suck dana whites dick
Having said that it would most likely be pointless to put Penn in a warm up fight because he would almost certainly beat anyone in the devision and if he loses where does that leave the developing lightweight devisions credibility? Now there are two things that can lose this fight for either of them. In one case GSP goes in with his fatal “am i good enough to win?” mentality (which i doubt at this point in his carreer) or BJ comes in all rolly polly (which may happen but is again unlikely). If neither of these things happen be prepared for a 5 round bruiser. Slight edge to GSP but anything could happen…

How can any1 be against this fight? One of the most anticipated fights ever. EVER. GSP is absolutely amazing, has a more proven work ethic, and is naturally bigger by a substantial amount with no fat. I still think that a BJ Penn who can fight without worrying about stamina is virtually undefeatable, though obviously any1 can lose any fight in the MMA world. So i pick Penn in a submission. -ps, the sob story that started this post may be bad, but i stopped reading by the second sentence-lol. and the posts of “i trained with so and so…etc”, jeebus, if u were a real fighter u wouldn’t be bragging here about your status. lets stick to fight analysis and settle our toughness on the mat.

Alot of people say that BJ Penn would need more time to effictively put on weight because between now and the fight there just isn’t enough time which is definitely true but you also have to remember that BJ Penn has been wanting to fight GSP since his last fight against Shawn Sherk in UFC 84 and I’m sure he has been training in a manner to put on the weight since then.

Also you say GSP has improved as a fighter but so has BJ Penn I think it will be fairly even standing up and if it goes to the ground BJ will be looking for the submission

I am not underestimating GSP by any means i just think that BJ is a better all around fighter

The fight could go either way though….. especially if it goes to a decision

Aye i want to see if wand can still KKO rampage if the setting is now in the octagon. Wandy must be fuming at rampages comments that the pride ref threw the fight in wandy’s favor second time round. I mean cmon, your ass was knocked out hehe and i believe ramapge fell through the ropes.
