Elite XC tickets for CBS
With still more than two months before the event, tickets have already gone on sale for Elite XC’s third installment of “Saturday Night Fights on CBS,” which is scheduled for the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., on October 4.

Get UFC Tickets at StubHub!The early release of the tickets is more than likely related to the poor ticket sales the “Unfinished Business” event produced in Stockton, Calif., last Saturday. Elite XC barely managed to sell half of the tickets they printed for the show and couldn’t even give away the rest.

For more on that click here.

It’s hard to blame Elite XC, however, because not only did it have to put the event together on short notice, but Stockton wasn’t the first choice for a location. The original plan, remember, was to run the show from St. Louis, Mo., but the promotion couldn’t find an available arena, which left them scrambling to put it together in Stockton on even shorter notice.

Having an extra month or so to sell tickets should definitely make a difference in ticket sales. Plus, this is Kimbo Slice’s hometown, and he didn’t have a hard time breaking the live attendance record at the Bank United Center in Miami when he fought Tank Abbott back in February.

With him confirmed to be in action on this card, there shouldn’t be a problem selling the place out anyway.

In fact, you might want to get your tickets now if you plan on going. It wouldn’t be surprising if the show sold out before fight night. Especially if Kimbo is fighting Brett Rogers … or anyone else credible.

Gina vs. Cyborg is more than enough to get me to watch this event.

I really do hope that Kimbo’s opponent ends up being Grim. I hate to say it, but that is a fight I actually want to see!

And you SHOULD want to see it john. Why not? Kimbo gets a ton of cr*p, yeah. He’s not a top prospect, we all know that. And I know his job is to win fights. But as a fan (of MMA, not Kimbo), his job is to entertain me. It is to get me thinking of mmA, blogging on MMA, WATCHING MMA. Whether he wins or loses, does well or proves to be a washout, his job (in my eyes) is to make me passionate about the sport. Will it be a good fight? I doubt it. But what if it is and I miss it? That’s what I’ll tune in to see, to see if he’s grown. For all the haters out there, you’ll probably watch to see him get KTFO. But you’ll STILL be watching! So Kimbo will have done his job, win or lose.

The way it looks, its not going to be Rogers. Theres an interview with Rogers on MMArated, where he says Kimbo is his dream match. My guess is that if it hasnt been comfirmed yet then its not Kimbo hes fighting.

Jv: I agree that it probably wont be Grim, just wishful thinking on my part I guess. Now that CBS has seen how bad the ratings are without Kimbo on the card, they will probably look to protect Kimbo even more because with out him they are in danger of folding.

I used to think that he would face Justin Eilers, but I hear that he will drop down to LHW and possibly face Neigao for the title.

THere fore, I have no freaking clue who they can match Kimbo up against because pee Wee would just Ground n pound Kimbo’s face in, so I am Lost. No idea who his next opponent will be.

I wouldnt be surprised if Frank fought on the card. Frank still has some drawing power and after the last event they need all the drawing power that they can get.

I wouldnt mind seeing Frank vs. Ninja…..THe jist displayed between those to would be amazing to watch!
