As a kid, I would have liked to see He-Man fight G.I. Joe, but now not so much. The luster is gone, like by the time Lewis fought Tyson. However, if someone creates a four-sided octagon made of cage and ropes, count me in.

The smartest move Dana can make is to sign Fedor to a one fight deal against Randy and then let Randy split with the UFC on good terms. The greatest fight in MMA history should take place under the greatest promotion.

The bottom line is that until Fedor fights Randy Couture and beats him, there will always be questions about how good he is.

Sadly, the heavyweight division is awful right now and saying you are the best heavyweight in the world isn’t saying much. However, he can’t even say that until he beats Randy.

Fedor’s recent competition, including Tim Sylvia, has been lackluster. Even his past competition isn’t necessarily anything to crow about since all his wins came in Pride except for Nogueira and Rampage, none of them have had success in the UFC.

Currently Fedor isn’t even close to the best Pound for Pound fighter and until he beats Randy Couture he can’t even be called the best heavyweight in the world. The fact is that the level of competition that Fedor has fought compared to guys like BJ Penn, Georges St. Pierre, and of course, Anderson Silva just doesn’t stand up.

My personal opinion is that the best fighters in the world are in the UFC, except for 135 pounders, in which case the best in the world at that division are in the WEC. I think Fedor punked out big time by refusing to sign with the UFC. I think that he knows he would probably lose to Randy and didn’t want to hurt his record.

it doesn’t matter that fedor would kill randy couture or vice versa, you have to consider history and the magnitude of this fight, it’s bigger than us all! who doesn’t love randy couture and who doesn’t love to see fedor do what fedor does. the combination of the two alone is worth the bill. a legend vs a future legend! AND what if a 45 year old randy does the unthinkable, afterall george foreman did at the same age, who else in mma could do it? i WILL buy the tickets and i WILL be there live to see history made!!! whoever wins…
