What needs to be realized is that when there is competition for the UFC the fans win! I love the UFC but having other games in town means the UFC will have to step their game up in many ways and there is no longer a monopoly on the worlds best fighters. So what if Affliction tanks? It will not mean the end of competition for the UFC. Judging from Trump making himself ever-present at the Affliction Event, I dont think that they are going anywhere. There is a lot of money to be made in MMA and guys with super-deep pockets are seeing that now (CBS, Trump, Etc.) This means that the fighters will have a choice to sign with the UFC or other organizations if they want and Dana White loses a lot of his leverage when it comes to renegotiating with fighters, I dont know about you guys but I am tired of good fighters not fighting because they had a falling out with Dana White. Everybody views it like its the UFC vs. Affliction/Elite-XC or whoever and the UFC will kick their ass….thats stupid. The UFC is the best estasblished, most entertaining and has the best fighters (for now) but the wind blows in many directions. Elite-XC is kinda corny right now but what you have to realize is that it is on a huge nationwide network and that equals SPONSORS, SPONSORS and MORE SPONSORS! Huge sponsors that want to sell their products to that ever so large 18-40 year old male demographic. This dictates that the UFC will no longer maintain its stranglehold on MMA, pun intended.

If Fedor wins tonight and they do land Randy to fight him, The natural is going to get beat. In a ring Fedor has the advantage, in a cage I would give to Randy. If Randy does fight Fedor, he better try and push to fight in a cage.

Fedor, Tim and Andre EASILY beat the UFC top 3? O dear. Can you not remember what happened at an event called UFC 81? Nog defeated Sylvia. Andre has looked boring recently. Fedor is untested recently. I think Fedor would probably beat Nog again, but I dont know if Fedor has ring-rust, which he probably has.

Belfort is not past his prime? O….k… where have you been since 2004? Last 9 fights he has gone 4-5. Last 9 fights = Losses to Couture, Ortiz, Overeem (x2) and Henderon. Wins over Ivan Serati, James Zikic, Antony Rea and Takahasi… excuse me for asking, but who the hell are they?!! Since 2002, 6 years ago, Belfort’s only porper win against a half-decent opponent was over Marvin Eastman. Wow, Belfort is on fire recently, dont you think?

Sure, Buentello and Rizzo are no in the UFC, does this mean that they are not washed up? No. Being in the UFC or not makes no difference over whether or not you are washed up. Affliction = one sided beat downs and washed up fighters. Sounds like fun (not).

just cause they’re not in the ufc doesn’t mean they’re washed up. last i checked the ufc had some washed up fighters like evan tanner and matt hughes, just to name a few. vitor belfort past his prime? are u serious, the guy is 30 yrs. old. i’d say he’s just getting in his prime, lol, he dominated ufc competition at 22-23 yrs. old. fedor, tim and andre could EASILY beat the ufc’s top 3 heavyweights, not to even mention adding barnett to that group.
