That explains why they were able to show Reese Andy’s IFL clips on the Countdown show. I was wondering why they were able to do that without showing some kind of “thanks to the IFL for allowing us to show these crappy clips.”

Did they buy the actual IFL brand, or just buy the contracts of the fighters that they wanted? If they couldn’t do anything with the Pride name, I can’t see them doing a hell of a lot with the IFL.

I was basically going to say exactly what Dave said. Trump is very wealthy, I have no idea what his total net worth is, but I think we can all agree it is considerable. That being said, he is not going to lose millions to help build up a company to compete with the UFC. If Affliction does not do well early on, he will be gone like the wind.

Great point BW…. Hopefully one of those Affliction guys has the passion and realize that they have the potential to do big things, if steered in the right direction. As head of a competing company, they need a boss who will fight, because Dana will go to war with you, thats for sure!
