credeur vs yarbrough the ultimate fighter 7 finale

Take two.

The battle between former Team Forrest members Tim Credeur (9-2) and Cale Yarbrough (0-0) will finally happen at UFC Fight Night 14 at “The Pearl” at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 19.

It’s a last minute addition to the three-hour card set to air on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET — the pair was supposed to tangle at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 Finale last month. However, the Nevada State Athletic Commission wouldn’t allow Credeur to fight because of an Adderall prescription.

For more on that click here.

Credeur lost his initial semifinal bid to punch his ticket to the final fight against Amir Sadollah when he was defeated by Jesse Taylor in the final four. However, Taylor was kicked off the show shortly after it wrapped, creating another opportunity for Credeur to challenge for the six-figure contract.

He locked horns with the other eliminated semifinalist, CB Dollaway, in an eliminator match. But things did not go Credeur’s way -– he lost via unanimous decision in a very close battle.

Yarbrough defeated John Clarke via technical knockout and Patrick Shultz via unanimous decision before getting pounded out by Dollaway in the quarterfinals. He must have done something right because he was among the few of the 16 fighters asked to compete in the Finale.

The fight between Credeur and Yarbrough has been relegated to the under card and there’s no guarantee that it will make the broadcast.

tHis fight blows. Cale obviously does not belong in the UFC. Crueder should submit him in the 1st round!

Tim’s standup looked much improved for the CB fight, but I still think Cale would get the better of the standup, but he’s a puss, and I think Tim can take the better shot.

Since Tim is a man out to prove himself to the fans in exciting fights, I expect him to stand and trade with Cale before taking him to the ground and submitting him quicker than you can correctly spell Y-a-r-b-r-o-u-g-h

When they first announced UFN 14 I was saying that they better put this fight on the card because they were both ready to go at it at the finale. It only made sense, perfect sense.

Hopefully this will be the last time I have to watch Cale in the Octagon ever again!

U r right, that Tim’s stand up looked really sharp against CB…..Cale will come out swinging like an idiot, and Tim will pretty much do whatever he wants.

we use the term CAN loosley around here, but Cale is truley a CAN!!

Adderal is amphetamine salts. That stuff not only makes you concentrate, but it can jack you way up.. Honestly I dont know why anyone would take it for a fighting advantage. I tried that crap and I think if I fought, I would of had a heart attack.. That stuff is no joke….
