The problem here is that this card is not even close to as good as people are making it out to be. Almost every match involves someone who was released from the UFC for some reason or other, many of the fighters are past their time, and the main event involves a past-UFC fighter who generally makes for pretty boring fights and his opponent is supposedly the best HW but he hasn’t fought a real fight in years.

Every single fight on this card could easily end in round 1 as a savage mismatch or every match could go the distance in a boring fight. Either outcome is not good for the fans.

I agree with the MegaDeath statement. Do they really think that they will get more PPV buys by having MegaDeath perform a couple of songs?? MAYBE, seven guys in their mid 30’s with hair down to their butt-cracks would order it for that reason alone.

They should have definitly used the MegaDeath money to advertise more.

I know that I’ll be twisting one up during that part of the telecast.

Seriously, whoever thinks that Affliction is planning on making money on thier first event is insane. The UFC put on how many events, like 30 something, before being bought out by Zuffa. At that time, after having 30 some-odd events, THEY WERE STILL LOSING MONEY.

All start up comapany’s should expect to lose money at first, and that doesnt just go for MMA organizations.
