UFC 86: “Jackson vs. Griffin” at the at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 5 has come to a close. And even though the main card as a whole lacked sizzle, the main event of the evening provided all the drama and fireworks that were expected.
Unsurprisingly, the promotion rewarded Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Forrest Griffin, as well as others, for their outstanding performances with cold hard cash.
Here are the special fight bonuses for UFC 86:
Fight of the Night: Forrest Griffin vs. Rampage Jackson
Submission of the Night: Cole Miller
Knockout of the Night: Melvin Guillard
Each fighter received $60,000 for their efforts in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as humanly possible.
It’s interesting that Guillard pocketed the extra coin, considering his roller coaster existence in the promotion during the past 18 months. He looked scary powerful in his 36-second destruction of Dennis Siver. Has he finally put it all together or will inconsistency flare up his next time out?
Time will tell.
Congratulations goes out to Miller who submitted a very talented Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt — Jorge Gurgel might be a lot of things but he is not easy to finish.

Didn’t Rampage say that he was betting his whole fight purse on the fight not going to a decision?
I was just about to say that…Give it up Page. He bet his whole purse not only he would win but that it wouldnt go to a decision.

A kick to the leg is what injured rampage, thats part of the fight game. Thats why kicks are allowed in MMA. It was an excellent game plan for forest one which rampage had no answer for. Great win forest.
Dana will be smart and get Chuck into a title shot so he can take Forrest out and be champion again. Dana knows that any fight with Chuck sells, but a championship fight especially.

After Forrest kicked his leg a few times but Forrest did the damage. Forrest fought a full strength rampage.

Rampage was classy. He didn’t make any excuses. It’s too bad many of his fans can’t do the same.
Anyone who watched the fight knows it was a complete set up. Forrest was given the belt. Other than Round 2 Rampage completely dominated the entire fight. Even at the end of the fight Forrest thought he lost the bout. IT was a total set up. Dana White is turning UFC into WWE.

Alex, come on man. are you one of those guys who gives a fighter an entire round for ONE clean punch after losing the first 4 minutes of the round ?
If you think rampage ” dominated the entire fight ” aside from round 2 then you need to some training on how to score/ judge and mma fight.
forrest outworked rampage almost the entire fight, and the only thing forrest was vulnerable too was rampages’ punching power.
Forrest watched old pride fights and saw how rampages’ weakness in defending leg kicks and Knee strikes to the chest from the clinch would be his path to victory. He executed this nicely and imo would have stopped him in round 4 or 5 if he kept at it like he did in round 1
