josh thomson

“You never know that a fight potentially next year you may see K.J. (Noons) and myself to join titles. We might see who wins that fight. That’s just something that’s kind of been thrown at me a little bit, but you never know. That might be a fight we’re all interested in.”

– New Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh “The Punk” Thomson talks via MMAWeekly.com about a potential unification bout with Elite XC Lightweight Champion KJ Noons. With Noons openly stating he “wants to fight other guys” instead of Nick Diaz, this could certainly be one of those other guys. In fact, when Noons was a guest on “Inside MMA” last Friday, he was asked to give his thoughts on the Thomson and Melendez fight, in which Noons responded saying, “‘The Punk’ has had some words to say about me in the past.” He didn’t go into detail, but made it seem like there was a more than a little animosity between the two. Is there anybody who doesn’t want to fight KJ Noons right now? He’s got a line forming with top notch fighters who want to take their shot at his gold. There could be some great fights on the horizon. Color me interested.

Either Diaz or THoson will do! I just want to see “Nancy BOy” Noons get slaughtered and I think either fighter will beat him. If I had my pick, I would say let Diaz spank him 1st, but as long as someone beats the Hawain out of him, I will be happy!

I have no love for Tito Ortiz-ass-champions! As champ, shut up and fight whoever they put in front of u. YOu have NO SAY as to who the #1 contender is….Letting him Duck Diaz should have never happened!

He will get his!
