Jesse Taylor (6-2) — The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 finalist who was kicked off the mixed martial arts reality series this season for going on an alcohol-induced Las Vegas rampage — will take on the man who replaced him the finals, CB Dollaway (6-1), at UFC Fight Night 14 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 19.
According to UFC President Dana White — who at one point declared that he was off the show and out of the UFC — Taylor has learned from the experience and deserves one more shot.
Here’s a snip from White on Taylor via Yahoo!Sports.com:
“I’ve faced a lot of challenges since we’ve had the UFC, but I have a kid (Taylor) who pissed his pants on television and now I have to turn him into a star…. Without a doubt, the kid deserves another chance. He made himself look like a fool, and he’s aware of that, but everyone deserves another opportunity and we’re going to give it to him. He acted like a moron. He’s embarrassed by it, which he should be, but what he did doesn’t amount to enough to ban him forever. Come on. He was just young and stupid, but at least he seems to have learned from what he did.”
It appears the cooler heads have prevailed indeed.
Taylor now trains with the prestigious Team Quest out in California. He defeated Nick Rossborough, Mike Dolce, Dante Rivera and Tim Credeur to punch his ticket to the finals against Amir Sadollah. However, just days after the show wrapped Taylor and a few castmates celebrated in Sin City before packing their bags and heading home.
It was during this time that Taylor got into trouble, getting hammered and thrashing a Fertitta-owned casino and harassing its female guests.
When he was kicked off the show, Credeur and Dollaway were invited back to compete for the spot vacated by Taylor. Dollaway went on to win the fight, however, he lost to Sadollah at the TUF 7 Finale earlier this month via submission (armbar).
Both Taylor and Dollaway are strong wrestlers who prefer to implement the ground and pound. Therefore, the result of this fight will more than likely be determined by who can get to who first.

It must be stated that although Jesse looks bigger and stonger, JT and CB wrestled in college twice. CB won both of those matches.
Also, for UFC 88, Rich Franklin is moving up to LHW to fight Matt Hamill.

THANKS JOHN. great interview. it seems randy has changed his tune a bit on fighting for the ufc again. it wasnt too long ago when he did say that he would never fight for them again. now he is saing never say never. o.k. it sounds like to me if the courts rule that he owes the ufc 2 more fights that he might indeed fight big nog. its july now so i hope something is settled soon.

After hearing the interview, the ideal situation for Randy to end up in the UFC would have to be that Tim Sylvia defeats Fedor. That way Fedor is no longer the #1 HW in the world. But Timmy wouldn’t be either! It would be Antonio Nogueria. Like Randy said, “never say never”.

That is an interesting insight, it should be CB’s fight if he can defend JT’s takedown… however JT has that endless gas tank of energy… wrestling is 6 minutes.. basically 1 round in an MMA Fight. CB shows wear in the 2nd round, but JT might actually get fatigued if his repeated takedown attempts are stuffed or CB gets to his feet quickly. I’m not sure how this will turn out, but I’m going to guess JT wins.

i like their rankings, not perfect but whose are? they seem pretty impartial. i was glad they made a championship belt for the hw div so the fedor/silva fight could go 5 rnds. other than that i know that pat miltech is on the board of directors so i dont trust that. i hope they dont try and make championship belts for other weight classess in other orgs. that would be a joke. thats all we need is a bunch of alphabet soup belts like boxing has.

I’m not into the whole conspiracy theory stuff at all, but for dana to get rid of jesse at the TUF final episode and now he’s back after a couple of months smells funny to me… They had to do something exciting for the season because it was so boring, I think this was a way for them to go out with a bang. We only saw ’someone’ break a window and jesse running around in a casino. nothing else, I think this was all hype.
BINGO! The whole JT Money thing was orchestrated by Dana White the mastermind to get higher ratings. Didn’t the advertisement/previews and the show itself say that someone is getting “Kicked out of the UFC for good.” The last time I checked, getting kicked out for good means that you can never come back. Not, “we’ll welcome you back with open arms and ‘turn you into a strar’ in one month, just be patient, for a few weeks”.

not true, I specifically remember a prmo the week before the final show, Dana looks at rampage and says “he’s out of the finale, he’s out of the UFC!” They really thought they could hype cb/amir because of it being a rematch. What they didn’t bank on was CB is a slow learner (like a retard) and would get caught in the simplest of arm bars 2 times in a row. By the way, I really need that writing gig, I reported this fight (not confirmed) last thursday!
idk dude i added jesse on myspace and he’s got the salutes and all that sh*t so it’s a legit page and he’s not smart but uses that jt money getup a lot, could be him just cashing in but highly unlikely..
i do know that although cb beat jesse when they wrestled which i believe jesse said once in an interview it was when his kid was first born and he wasn’t training hard so he wanted this fight bad..

I dont really care to much about this fight. CB is going to kick his ass. CB dolloway is making some good money off of his short UFC career. He won and finished all his fights on the show. Collecting about $30,000. Then he collected another $8,000 for loosing on the Finale, and now he will be fighting again a month later! Good for CB. Hopefully he just knocks Jesse out, so we can all get past this idiotic situation.
Hopefully this will be the last fight booked between members of this past season of TUF….I have had enough.
Also, I would guess that Tim Crueder will participate at the UFN on July 19th….I havent heard anything, but I would be surprised if he weren’t included.
He and Cale were ready to go a few weeks ago, so I’d think they’d still be ready to go. I’d bet that Tim is ready to go on 1 weeks notice, but I wouldn’t be so sure about Cale

CB has made some good money off of the TUF show. He finished everyone he faced except Crueder on the show, collecting 10 g’s each time. Earned another $8,000 loosing to amir, and now will be fighting a month later and probably collect an additional $16,000 for beating JT money. Not bad!
I didn’t even think about what a debacle that would have been with Crueder and the Adderall situation.That would have been disasterous.
p.s. CB only actually finished two people Nick Klein and Cale…..going the distance with Crueder and losing to amir in the semi finals

I don’t believe everything I see, but I am definatly not one for conspiracys. I watch reality shows all the time and am very aware of the acting that goes on. I have had a drug addiction myself and have had several alcholic friends in my life. To me he had all the signs of an alcholic. The type that is a black out drunk and goes crazy during one of his black outs. I just don’t believe he was acting and IMO, Jesse is just too stupid to fool 99% of viewers.

I don’t know John, I’m not familiar with italian so it’s hard to say. I can tell you I can hardly understand any italian though
but all latin languages carries most of the same grammar construction, so it might be easier to adopt to a new latin language, but I’m not sure you’ll be able to learn it within a year or so… (took me 4+ years to learn english!)

a lot of sports teams will have a clause in the contract that doesn’t allow them to do “dangerous stuff” like riding motorcycles just because the chance of getting hurt is higher.
A lot of athletes in all sports have contractual clauses forbidding them from activities that carry a substantial risk of injury, including motorcycle riding, sky diving, skiing sometimes. Lots of others.

I think this guy should get another chance in the UFC. War Machine got another chance after he assaulted a guy. Taylor committed a few minor misdameaners and Kopenhaver commited a felony. If the banned JT for life it would be a double standard.
the question is why did jesse (if he did in fact do as they say he did) get booted out in the first place? war machine never got a second chance, he was never let go in the first place. they just chose to kick jesse out of nothing. he wasn’t arrested, there was not even a police report made (did the limo driver just call dana white instead of the police?). these just seems weird that they’d do something like that, it just smells for a plead of ratings for their last episode, it’s all hype.

there was surprisingly a lot of jt money and coco the monkey fans though, he knows jesse will sell tickets, and the fact they wrestled in college he’s banking on kinda rivalry situation, but i don’t see either guy having above average standup, and there submission skills are about as good as there standup (both using them and defending them) i just see jesse winning based on the fact he changed up his camps to a team quest camp, and has A LOT to prove.. i woulda rather seen amir fight jesse just because it was the REAL finale
