OK, this is the second week end in a row that I had a couple minutes and popped onto mma mania, and all I can say is wow. The quality of guys posting comments goes way down hill!
1. Nick Diaz didn’t land a lucky punch on Robbie Lawler’s jaw. He was winning the stand up to begin with, and who was he trying to KO?
2. Nick Diaz didn’t beat Gomi because it was an “exhibition!!” What does that even mean? Two professional athletes getting paid to compete, and someone is going to write that Gomi gassed because it was an exhibition. How about Nick Diaz took a beating, and then gogo’d the most feared LW at the time.
3. KJ noons says “what scar tissue, Nick doesn’t box.” This kid KJ is a super douche bag. I didn’t realize you now need to box to get scar tissue. I guess fighting every other month, and getting cut in almost all those fights don’t cause scars. All those cuts just disappear.
4. It’s very easy for KJ “I’ll sit o this belt as long as I can” Noons to talk shit after Nick Diaz was given a different opponent for July. for all you guys that say Nick won’t win because KJ was dominating him the fist time, wrong! Yes he was beating Diaz, and cut him up, but Nick wasn’t even hurt. Some guys can take an extraordinary beating and not gas or be affected. BJ Penn is a great example, he takes big punches and knees, and never gets rocked, only difference is he’s got that leathery skin that doesn’t cut.
5. I realize that there are quite a few guys that just started watching mma when TUF came on. welcome to the sport! Now go back and watch fights that took place before the show. Maybe then you would realize why Nick Diaz is so highly regarded by the “older” fans. Not just because he talks shit! Lastly on Diaz, put his drive and willingness to fight every month, and tito ortiz’s brain together, you’d have the highest paid fighter in the sport!. It’s really too bad that he’s a stockton bread guy!
6. Chuck/Rashad…WHY??? He goes from fighting shogun to fighting Rashad, and just because he rubs dana’s balls will get a title shot if he wins…and I think it’s a big if too.
7. If Chuck gets a title shot and wins, the UFC can’t set up a “ufc rubber match.” That was actually posted this week end. So I guess if nog beats Fedor in the UFC, he’s 1-0 against Fedor right? C’cmon guys, be real!
8. Gonzaga will lose, thus proving his head kick to Cro cop was the only meaningful victory he’ll ever get, and this will solidify him as one of the most over rated, over hyped HW’s of all time!
Sorry so long guys, hope you enjoyed it, I could go on, but I need a little sleep!
You have just exemplified exactly what annoys me about MMA fans.
This sport like no other has this whole “your not a true mma fan” insult floating around and it bugs the $hit out of me.
So many people get shouted down on this site for this very reason. My Dad has been watching football for 40 years as opposed to my 15, so that means his opinions are worth more than mine does it???
This is a new sport, it has only been around properly for around 10 years… everyone is a new mma fan.
Just becuase people post on this site 50 times a day does not mean their opinion is anymore acurate or worthwhile than anyone elses. It just means they are in front of a computer more often during the day… wow fullfill me with your knowledge.
I love this sport like no other and particularly love this site
I don’t mean to have a dig at you Kevin, i really don’t but it was the straw that broke the camels back.
Also point 7 was to do with me… i mentioned a ‘UFC’ rubber match just saying that hypatheticly if Chuck won the next fight that would be how the UFC would market the last one (by disregarding Rampage’s Pride win).
Sorry for my rant but my boss is giving me $hit at work also so in a bad mood.
lol nick, honestly I didn’t know who wrote rubber match, but the fact that you defended it, or think the UFC would market it like that shows your stupidity! They marketed it last time as “Chuck avenging his last loss,” but now they’ll forget about that? Most of my post was about Nick Diaz, but you only comment on your own stupidity. I’ve never claimed to know it all, and read all these posts with an open mind, and learn something every day. The fact that I have time during the day while you’re at work is irrelevant, I was commenting on the week end posts, 90% of which come (admittedly) from teenage kids that couldn’t pick Fedor out of a lineup! Sorry you took it so personally, and sorry you’re having a bad day! I truly hope it gets better, and look forward to reading more of what you think about a sport we both obviously love!
You’re taking this a little too seriously (and personally) dude, chill out a lil’ bit and let everyone be entitled to their own opinions. Head out, grab a pint, and think about something non-mma/ufc related for a moment. There’s alot to see and do out there.

who cares that the dudes an expert, I’m rotfl laughing that you lick his balls so hard…this is a site for everyone to post what they feel, based on the article and mma…if the quality of posts is dropping, then move to another site where the quality is higher.
Kevin: I am actually hear to back u up today! r u shocked? All weekend I had to sit through idiotic posts, i cant wait to see the Big Dogs posting again today.
Gomi vs. Diaz was no exhibition fight. It was deemed an exhibition fight after Diaz tested for weed. Prior to the fight, both him and Gomi didnt know that the fight would have turned into an exhibition.
The best fights are those that we cant predict. Everyone with any sense knows what Rampage will do to “the mma Gump”.
Its funny that al the poor foos predicting Forrest cant come up with any logical way that it could happen…Some say Forrest by rear naked choke…. r u kidding me? That would be Forrest would have to outwrestle Rampage and take his back. I have seen about 20 Rampage fights and I dont think anyone has ever takenhis back. He has out wrestled the best and will have no problem destroying forrest…EARLY!
This reminds me of when all the fools on here were prediction sherk over BJ Penn. I would ask them hoow can sherk possibly win, and all they could come up with was…Cardio? HAHAHA we see how that worked out.
Be hOnest with yourselves. Forrest doesnt have any advantages going into this fight. Rampage will put a quick beatng on Forrest, probably ending it in round 1, coects his paycheck, and goes home to bang one of his japanese girls!
If Rampage looses this fight, I will never come on this site again! Thats how sure I am about this fight, and I got $1,200 on Rampage that will win me $500. Saying that I am confident about the outcome is an understatement!
I totally agree with you 100% but I said the same exact thing when Forrest fought Shogun… there is not way he wins this fight… injured or not a win is a win. Rampage said the same thing when he fought Shogun(that he was hurt) how ironic. I will say I am not that excited about this card… the undercard is really weak IMO and maybe becuase Christmas for me falls on July 19th… your thoughts?

Robetr: I cant disagree. I am not too excited about this card either because I already know how the Main event wil play out: Rampage breaks Forrest’s Jaw in round 1 with a hook, uppercutt combo!
I am excited about Almeida vs. Cote
I also cant wait to see Lytle KO Koschek (probably the fight of the night)
But I agree…christmass is definatly on Juy 19th, because of Affliction, not UFC’s petty attempt at raining on their Parade!
Affliction is the EVENT of the summer!
Rampage will not go into a title defense injured to the point where he couldnt train Cardio like Shogun did, therefore there is no HOpe for Forrest!
Yep… Affliction owns the summer but Sliva vs Irvin is a very nice icing on the cake!!!!!!!!! And to be honest I don’t know why but Brock vs Herring has excitement written all over it! Although I think Brock has no chance still will be exciting.
well I do remember a smaller guy named Sakuraba taking his back and tapping Rampage out….of course that was in his early career, but the fact remains……

Wanderlei Silva helping Forrest Griffin
Here is the relevant part.
Few are as intense in the gym as Griffin, who gingerly walks the line between training hard and leaving his fight in the gym. One who may match Griffin’s intensity is one of his regular sparring partners, fellow light heavyweight contender Wanderlei Silva, the owner of two stoppage victories over Jackson back in Japan’s PRIDE organization.
“He actually has given me a couple (of tips), just some little technical things about how to clinch a little better and just his take on fighting,” said Griffin. “If there’s anyone who’s been put on this Earth to fight, it’s that guy. He’s like no one I’ve ever met.”
And when the bell rings in the gym, there is no feeling
out process with Griffin and Silva, no working on specific techniques. It’s war.
“We usually fight,” said Griffin of sparring with ‘The Axe Murderer.’ “He doesn’t give you a lot of quarter. He goes after you and he goes hard.”
Have they taped any of these sessions?
“We should tape one,” chuckles Griffin. “I just want to make sure I’m fresh on the day we tape. They’re definitely better than some fights I’ve been in, that’s for sure.”

Interesting stuf, but Rampage will still run right through Forrest!
How? It shows he is confident Rampage is going to win. What good would saying ‘If he doesnt win he will retire’ do? Thats like betting someone elses money on the fight; no consequences to you.
i dont even care if it lasts 10 seconds or 10 rounds!!! i just want page to humiliate griffin so it shows what a travesty it was for this guy to get a title shot without any real winning streak!!!
Well…. my Q is what other fighters should have had the shot before Forrest that has fought and beaten a top level fighter besides Jardine? Remember this fight was scheduled about 1 yr ago.
Juanito better be carefull of what comes out of his cocky mouth…of course Rampage SHOULD win, but in MMA you just never know, and when you say crap like Jaunito says it is disrespectful and in my opinion, just asking to be proven wrong. Look what happened to Chuck vs Jardine. I like Rampage and all but I cannot stand Jaunito…he is outrageous. I gotta call this fight to end in the first round, I suspect Rampage to come out quick and try to chase Forrest down and let loose on him. If Forrest can survuve the first onslaught, I suspect he will win in the later rounds. I dont care if Rampage went 5 rounds with Dan, all they did was lay on the ground rolling occaisionally and when they did it was slow movement. His Cardio is suspect to me. Bigger guys with slabs of muscle will always wear out quicker than taller leaner guys.
Just a side note, I think Forrest should try to throw a couple of head kicks at Quinton when hes not suspecting it. I dont think Rampage will go for the takedown at all, its just not his style. I Forrest want to beat Rampage, he either gonna have to miracle KO him, or lock him up and wrestle him and try to submit him, or decision him, other than that I don’t see Forrest winning, but I won’t say its impossible like Jaunito thinks.
dude Quinton is going to make a masterpiece out of Forrest Griffin’s face in round one, and gamely Griffin will hang in there to make it to the second. But once the bell goes off for the second, Quinton is gonna turn it up a notch and just manhandle Forrest until the ref steps in mercifully to call it and save Forrest’s life.
I like Rampage but people give him too much credit. The loss to Shogun and two losses to Silva… Japan probably wasn’t the best enviroment for Rampage, but no one gives Forrest any credit.
If forrest wins it will definetly shake up the division because instead of chuck rampage 3 it would be forrest chuck. And if rampage losses we will see some fights alot sooner like shogun page 2 or wandy page 3, to bad they wouldnt be 5 rounders. But the only way I see this happening is if forrest fruserates quieton to a desison. I think forrests wild style will come out at some point even if its a little flury and then rampage will catch him. It all depends on whos game plan counters whos. My pedicion page TKO early round 2.
Shogun was untested in the octagon and to UFC rules. And with all the speculation about steriods in Pride, I’m sure that may have played a factor in Shogun’s performance.
They’ve already dismantled 87’s great card to bolster Fight Nights and 88. Now they’re all typical cards. Hopefully there are a few sleepers in the fights noone is excited about.
I loved it when Juanito said ” I’ll retire is Forrest beats Rampage Jackson “. Oh it’s on. 4th of July Week is here..UFC *^..I smell it brewing. I smells so damn good.
Forrest may lose but I do think he will show he belongs. He will do much better than Chuck (”Rampage looks mean”) Liddell did…. which to me takes the fight into the 3rd. I like Forrest but think 3rd RD TKO Rampage.
forest wont win he cant out strike rampage his boxing has developed so much since the liddel fight forest cant out wrestle rampage therefor he wont sub i mean come on he lose to jardine ha said enough

Ok so how about a person starts reading a book, right? But they dont start at the prologue…hell, lets say they dont even start at the 1st chapter. Let’s say they start at the 5th chapter, right? Granted, they finish the book from the 5th chapter on. So now they feel they have a pretty good grip on what this book and its characters and plot details and sub-plot details are all about. So they join a book club. Not just any book club but one of the best ones in town. Now, because they feel so confident about all of the chapters they’re so familiar with from chapter 5 on, they feel they can honestly debate the many nuances of said book. Only problem with that is that they failed to read the prologue and chapters 1-4 like the rest of the book club………and they get corrected, disputed and reprimanded……..alot! Now, instead of this person admitting to themselves that they should go back and read chapters 1-4 and re-evaluate their stance on the situation, they start justifying the fact that you dont need to read an entire book to fully understand the many layers of its content. So they start blaming the folks who read the entire book for their own inadequecies and look for ways to validate the fact that its ok to not have read this entire book.
Basically, Nick J and others like him are the guys that didnt read the whole book. If you read the whole book, you’d be more inclined to understand where others who have are coming from and where you may need to fill in the gaps and rise to their level of understanding. In other words, dont hate that others know more than you, hate that you didnt do what it took to reach they’re level of understanding.
Rampage is better than Forrest in every single way. I am not sure how the fans saying Forrest will win have come to that conclusion. It is definately not based on logic. I can only assume they are new to the sport. I could understand it if some say they want Forrest to win because they dislike Rampage and they are a big fan of Dana’s butt buddy Forrest, but there are a lot implying that Forrest will win because he is the better MMA fighter. He beats a 50% Shogun and he is automatically better than Rampage. If that is the only reasoning for thinking Forrest is a better fighter, then Rampage is not only going to educate Forrest but also all you dillusional Forrest fans. I like Forrest, not many have the passion he does when he steps into the octogan, and he always gives it 110%, but me liking him doesn’t automatically make him the best fighter in the UFC. Seriously, I would really be interested to know of those who have actually seen Rampages fights and still think Forrest is going to win, how did you come to this conclusion. The old Rampage would have beaten Forrest, this is the new and improved version. I don’t look at this in the same way as Jardine and Chuck because I thought Jardine would win, and knew he was underrated and had all the tools and skill to beat Chuck. I did not even consider the mistake he made in the Houston fight. Jardine is a better fighter then Forrest whether you like him or not. I really do not see where Forrest has any strenghts in this fight.
i’m guessing rampage trainer gon retired after page r/n choke 3rd round
Forrest FTMFW!

Agreed! I just thought it was an interesting post and I would share it!
But Forrest will get his Jaw Broken come saturday!
Damn Juanito says he will retire now that is some confidence…..I agree 100%of course nothing short of a Miracle will save Forrest.
What is Juanito going to retire from? Training Rampage? hahaha…a retiring threat would sound better if it came from Rampage, not his trainer.

Rampage all the way in this one, same with Almeida.
Good luck to both fighters, but if Forrest wins…slingshot to super-stardom. Can’t Fing Wait.
WON’T PASS THE FIRST ROUND! RAMPAGE BY TKO!!!
I love both of them, but I want Griffin to win, I think he’s going to Sub Rampage RNC.
chase: how can Forrest possibly take Rampages back? HOw? u really think Rampage willl get outwrestled?

Blah: I completely agree. It was a travesty giving a guy who’s last 4 fights were:
Win over shogun (40%)
KO loss to Jardine
Most boring decision win fight ever against ramirez
Lost to Tito
What a joke! Rampage will expose what a mismatch this really is!

Rampage by attempted murder RD 2
easy fight fur rampage cmon give this dude a real test(chuck isn`t anymore for him) and i expect a a great sub by almeida
To many people arn’t giving Griffin a Chance, He’ll surprise you all.
It’s hard to dislike either of these guys…..but I hope griffin pulls off a miracle
This sounds a lot like what was said before he fought Shogun.
(About Forrest)
Shogun was untested in the octagon and to UFC rules. And with all the speculation about steriods in Pride, I’m sure that may have played a factor in Shogun’s performance.
None of those will be issues for Rampage.
Rampage by 1st round decapitation.
Griffin vs Jackson is gonna be your fight of the year.
im personaly pumped 4 every fight on the card, can’t wait..
I’m sorry but i think this card is pretty weak overall, its not a patch on 84 or 87 (or even 85 b4 the injuries).
They’ve already dismantled 87’s great card to bolster Fight Nights and 88. Now they’re all typical cards. Hopefully there are a few sleepers in the fights noone is excited about.
I can’t wait for the almeida fight.
RAMPAGE BY ANNIHILATION
Almeida by armbar first round
I loved it when Juanito said ” I’ll retire is Forrest beats Rampage Jackson “. Oh it’s on. 4th of July Week is here..UFC *^..I smell it brewing. I smells so damn good.
Forrest may lose but I do think he will show he belongs. He will do much better than Chuck (”Rampage looks mean”) Liddell did…. which to me takes the fight into the 3rd. I like Forrest but think 3rd RD TKO Rampage.
i hope rampage does forest in the first minute 2 show that forest did NOT deserve this fight! rampage by SLAM at 1:35 of the first round.
Im with you on that NEON! Forrest is not ready yet to be fighting for any titles
forest wont win he cant out strike rampage his boxing has developed so much since the liddel fight forest cant out wrestle rampage therefor he wont sub i mean come on he lose to jardine ha said enough

Sorry for my rant but my boss is giving me $hit at work also so in a bad mood.”
Questions:
Forrest vs Matt Lindland - Who wins?
Forrest vs Hendo - Who wins?
Forrest vs Liddell - Who wins?
Questions:
Who has Forrest faced with the level of Wrestling & BJJ that Sakaraba, Arona, Hendo & Lindland possess?
Who has Forrest faced with the punching power of Lidell or Wand?
If Rampage can weather the storm from the 205 elite and Forrest posseses none of the elites attributes, how can he win?
Three more days!
