Almeida is gonna choke him out in round 1. I like cote but Almeida is just to good for him in my eyes. Than we can see Anderson Vs Almeida, now that would be an awesome fight.

I agree. I am a fan of Cote’s and he is a tough opponent for any UFC middleweight but the big dog is on another level. Almeida was always my favorite gracie. He has the skills of a gracie but he is much tougher. Great addition tho the UFC, and top 5 IMO for sure!

I would also look forward to Anderson Silva vs. Almeida

I am bettin on Big Dog for sure. He was -105 on BetUs ever since the odds came out. Just checked, and he moved to -115. Now both he and Cote are -115. I wonder if the money will continue to be bet on Almeida and his odds will keep on getting worse.

In otherwords, I am thiking out lout about when the best time to bet on Almeida is. I am now worried that he will move to -125, and then -135…

I think I’m about to bet on him now.

Cote can win this fight by KO/TKO. Almedia can obviously win this fight by submisison about 1 minute after it hits the ground. The UFC got Cote back on the winning streak by putting him against standup opponents. Scott Smith, Kendall Grove and Drew McFedries. The two times he fought high level BJJ guys was against Travis Lutter and Joe Doerkson. He got submitted both times.

Thanks John. And you got me on Eddie Alvarez. You had known of him before his ShoXC debut. That time he fought in the main event of the ShoXC event was the first time I seen him fight.

Check this out John! I know that you already bet money on Lytle to beat Kos. I don’t really like that pick, but its a decent value bet. Tyson Griffin/Marcus Aurellio. The fight can go two ways. Griffin by decision or Maximus by submission.

I was just playing around on BetUs and a parlay on: Rampage/Lytle/Aurellio pays out at 14.6 to 1 – so a $10 bet would win $146. I just might have to bet $5 on that parlay to win $73

I know that you’ll be betting on that because you actually like all 3 of those guys to win!

THANK YOU!!! THats a Hell of a PARLAY! Tyson is tough, very tough, but I thinks its about time for a break out performance by Maximus. How could I not bet $10 on that Parlay? I will be playing with the HOuses money anyway cause Rampage will win me $500 anyway.

tHanks for the heads up, I got to go over to BetUS, play that parlay and mess around with some other combo’s to see what the pay out is.

Man, I really wish I had a G in my account so I can bet that much on Rampage too…

Did you place your bet on Rampage yet?? I wonder which way and when the odds will sway. I believe Rampage opened at -280. I saw him down to -240 on day. I should have jumped on him then, but that was a few weeks ago and I didn’t want to tie all my money up when other events were coming up sooner. Now he’s -260. As the fight approaches, I am thinking that some people are really going to start bettting on Forrest. So I am thinking about continuing to hold off. However, if Rampage moves up again, back to -280, that means its time to bet on him because all the money is going back on him.

I got him at -240 (I think Friday). I felt like that was as low as its going to get so I jumped on it! Thats why I never take any $ out of my BetUS account….I waited a long time to build up that account so that I can bet like this on fights that I am sure of, like Penn vs. Sherk, thats was a great pay day, and July 5th should be a great pay day as well.

Keep in mind, I rarely use this account to bet anything other then mma. If I did, I would be broke!

PhilQNy: I dont really see any Middleweight beating Anderson Silva, but it would be an interesting match up to see IMO. I would love to see it go to the ground and find out just how skilled Silva is on the ground, because If he can Survive Almeida on the ground…..The DEBATE WILL BE OVER, SILVA will NEVER loose at 185 lbs! (even though there isnt much of a debate to begin with) lol

I posted the paragraphs below yesterday, and there must have been some confusion. People thought that the Real Deal Raymond Daniels was just wasting away in the WCL. HE IS MAKING HIS MMA DEBUT THIS FRIDAY IN STRIKEFORCE, against Jeremiah Metcalf, who is 5-1. Mania put a thread up about it yesterday. I posted quite a bit about his becaue I had seen him fight just one time in the WCL. I only watched one full episode, I saw Danny “The Sandwhich Maker” Abbadi fight, and yes, that cought my attention, lol. In the last fight, this one dude comes out and is litterally floating/hovvering around the ring. He is just too fast and nimble.
———-
John was asking me about Raymond Daniels. I had seen him fight in WCL one time about a year back. After watching that episode of WCL, I was actually raving about Daniles on this site. I really wish I knew where to find a link to the fight that I saw.

Alright, here is a KO highligh reel. Some KO’s are simply RIDICULOUS!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrHIHaBiGkc

I am 100% sure that this is the exact fight that I saw. Honestly, watching it this time, I was literally laughing at the stuff he does. it is insane!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKNxKWQqyqs

LOLOLOL, then Cauldwell got a rematch at some point. He tries to use some of the “Real Deal’s” footwork. Loot at what happens to him for trying it. LOLOL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4hVMfi_5cU

Just go to youtube and search ‘raymond daniels’ and I GUARANTEE that you will be entertained.

If you even have a couple minutes, check them out. If you aren’t impressed with his standup, then, well, I don’t know. Outside of Anderson Silva he could instantly be the 2nd best striker in the MW divisision. Personally, I think that he may prove to be too fast for Cung Le if they were to ever fight. Cung would be a big favorite if they fought in like Daniel’s 3rd fight or so. I would be all over that underdog bet!
——————

Now PLEASE, click on those 3 links. It will take up all of 6 minutes of your life, and you will certainly be entertained like nothing else before!!!!!

I go for Cote here. He’s got his confidence back. You better believe he’s training hardcore for sub defence.

Seeing how he is now 0-2, I am not that impressed with a win over Rob Yundt.

Is Cote training with Dellagrotte? Cause if he is I’d give him more of a chance than I originally did
Still, when weighin this up as a contender match
I see the Almeida match up as more interesting and more dangerous for Silva

Cote vs. Silva would be ugly. Cote would get his face rearranged ala Rich Franklin. The only person at 185 that would have even a remote chance would be a world class submission/ground fighter like Almeida or Lutter (done because he can’t train and get in shape). Even then, I think they would get beat. Anderson belongs in the 205 division. If he can steamroll Dan Henderson, who out there thinks he can’t steamroll ANYBODY in the 205 division. Dana could throw his good buddy Chuck Liddell in there and pray for his well being.

I think everyone is hyping Silva up to be this god of a man. Like he can’t get hurt by a huge powershot or get out struck my anyone. I’ll admit he’s one helluva accurate striker and he dismantled every striker that he’s come up against(Leben, Franklin). But I really think Cote’s striking is a lot better than either of those guys. Leben is a one trick pony who can only knock someone out with a lucky haymaker. See what happens when he faces a pinpoint striker like Silva. Franklin is slow! His strikes are looking and take days to find there target. He uses his strength to tire opponents out so he can pick them apart. His striking even looked sloppy against Lutter. Cote on the other hand has pinpoint quick strikes that come right down the middle and they are powerful on top of that. I think he can punch harder than Silva and his striking game is right up there with him. The only advantage I give to Silva is his reach! Don’t discredit Cote. His strikes are phenomenal and he’ll knock Almedia’s head over with a left hook, right straight combo!

I think your living in the past a bit too much big guy. Many thought Cote won that fight anyway. It was a split decision.
Anyways, I think Cote has improved a lot since then. You can’t say Leben has. He’s still just a brawler. Cote is a boxer with just as much power. Don’t judge guys by what they did in the past, judge them on what they are doing now. Cote knocked out Mcfedries, Mcfedries would knock the shit out of Leben. End of Story.
