Automation I am a hundred percent behind Timmy. He gives a lot of guys trouble. Fedor will have a hard time setting up his take down. Timmy has great take down defense and probably some of the best dirty boxing in mma. He also has one of the best Jabs in mma. That jab will be the key to keeping Fedor at bay. Linland was able to bust him open and would have landed a serious slam had Fedor not grabed on the rope for dear life three times(oddly enough the ref did not say one thing about it) and it is the only reason FEdor landed on top. I think and feel we have a huge win for Tim Sylvia on the Horizon. I hope so as well becuase then it will crush all the hype of Couture vs. Ferdor.

bnf, I'll take those odds. if forrest wins I'll change my name to "linx aka BNF's B_tch" for a month, but if page wins you have to change your name to "bnf aka linx's B_tch" for two weeks. the bet is on bro!

Cannibal, this is getting long LOL, and yes, we're not going to agree. I do want to say that I do respect your opinion, as well as John's and PhilQNY's. Just to clear my side of the story, this is what I believe:

*For me all substances are bad and I wouldn't want anyone in my family nor would I allow my son to do or be acquaintances with other ppl that do any type of drugs such as weed, alcohol and hardcore drugs such as cocaine, crack and so on.

*Everyone should have individual rights to do anything they want in their own property as long as they do not harm other ppl (such as smoking weed, cocaine, crack, alcohol, etc.).

*Private companies such as the UFC and the late Pride have their rights to restrict employees from activities they feel do not represent them in the correct way (such as smoking weed, steroid abuse, dependency drugs, etc.).

So to go back to the very first post in this thread where Nick Diaz was mentioned and that I disagreed with was the fact that he got in trouble for smoking weed. In my view, he has his right to do as he wishes to his body, but the athletic commissioning body (acting in behalf of Pride) has their rights to impose their set of principles in their employees resulting in suspension and fines to combat such behavior as they see fit.

I feel that everyone has an off day. No one is perfect, and if it was not ment to be it would not have happened! Forrest is good they all have there good and bad point's. As for this match up, at first I thought wow that's wacked, but Forrest like's to fight and Jackson said he does it for the money, I am sure we all listened at the end of chuck and his fight, he's getting the crib, That is all he care's about I feel, and that is what he say's. So he'll fall out on his face sooner or later, and I hope that July 5th is the night. :)

Obviously we are not going to agree but that is ok, i respect your opinion and i respect your right to have one. I have one last thing to say then i'm putting this topic to bed, this is after all an mma discussion board and we are starting to veer off the actual subject. NO, I would not want my young child to smoke weed, BUT, there are plenty of other things that i would not want my young child to do as well. Does this mean I think I have the right to tell someone else what they can and can't do? Role model or not? NO. I would not want my child drinking but does that mean I think i have the right to tell someone they can't, just beacause they are famous? NO. I would not want my young child doing wheelies on a dirtbike but does that mean i think we should not televise the X-games? NO. Basically I feel that at a certain age a person has the right to make certain decisions for themself. That said, I don't feel that anyone has the right to tell them when and how they can do something unless their actions are putting someone else in DIRECT danger. Weed does not fall into this category because there is no age at which it becomes ok, but i feel there should be. A person should not have the right to censor another persons actions because they disagree with them or feel they are a bad influence, if we support thinking like that then we can all say goodbye to the UFC and MMA as a whole cause guess what, a large percentage of parents feel the same way about MMA as you do about weed. They think it gives kids the wrong idea on how to solve problems and blah blah blah, we've all heard the propaganda. It's up to us as parents to ensure our kids make the right choices, a childs biggest role model should be their parent and if it isn't then that is the parents fault not the substitute role model. GEEZ this got long quick! haha.

Why is nobody pointing out the obvious here? clearly the Shogun that fought Forrest was not 100%! I've never seen Shogun lack cardio, and don't give me the "he couldn't keep up with Forrest's pace" argument. Shogun is a level 9 in Chute Box and has fought (and won) the likes of Rampage and Wanderlei Silva (Who is a level 6 at Chute Box) and Anderson Silva is just a level 2. Do you really believe that Forrest could compete with a healthy Shogun?! If you answered yes, you were probably in agreements with the pro-weed posts above ;) I would like to see Hendo fight Chuck, that fight NEEDS to happen. Then the winner get's a crack at Rampage. Shogun needs to heal his knee and avenge his loss to Forrest. Hendo also needs to avenge his loss to Silva by sticking with the game plan that earned him round one. Ground and pound baby!
