Tickets for UFC Fight Night 14, which was announced and put together in record time, will be available to purchase during an exclusive presale that begins at 1 p.m. ET today (Friday, June 20) for the July 19 event at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva will take on James Irvin in a light heavyweight showdown slated for the main event. No title will be at stake — “The Spider” is merely testing the 205-pound waters since he has all but cleared out the 185-pound division.
Here are the UFC Fight Night 14 tickets sale details:
UFC Fight Club presale: Friday, June 20 at 1 p.m. ET
General ticket sale: Saturday, June 21 at 4 p.m. ET
(UFC Fight Night 14 tickets can be purchased through StubHub.com. Note: StubHub often has seats available even if the event is “sold out”).
There is likely no newsletter presale because of the abbreviated time to market the Spike TV special. The promotion worked its magic to put together a card on super short notice to counter the debut of Affliction: “Banned” on pay-per-view (PPV) the same night.
It’s perhaps a blow to the upstart organization but a boon to MMA fans — get those DVRs programmed sooner rather than later.
In addition to the bout between Silva and Irvin, lightweights Frank Edgar and Hermes Franca will go to war on the televised main card, as well as light heavyweights Brandon Vera and Reese Andy. It should be a good show made even better by the fact that it’s free.

GUYS NEED A BIT OF HELP, TOP 5 MOST LIKELY TO BEAT FEDOR???
Having a bit of an argument with my Japanese friend, he’s saying that no one out there can come close to beating Fedor. So I need 5 fighters that can and good reasons for the next time I see him.
John I know Fedor is your guy but even you must have some matches that you wouldn’t like to see him in any help is appreciated
argue with him after watching banned. we havnt seen if fedor is the same as fedor of old since he’s only fought cans recently.. (well matt lindland isnt a can but he’s too small for fedor)
and also,if fedor doesnt take timmy down i doubt he’d win.
although it’s too bad its in a ring, if its in a cage timmy would have a better chance.

IMO, the best man with a chance at beatinbg Fedor is Josh Barnett! I give him a lkegit chance….I dont think anyone else will even come close.
SORRY!
I want to see Fedor fight a couple guys, but that doesnt mean that I think he would loose. Interesting fights for Fedor are:
Arlovski
Couture
Werdum (this would interest me because Fedor walked all over Nog’s ju jitsu, I would like to see how Werdum could do, because if Werdum cant submit him on the ground, then nobody can.)
Another could be dangerous opponent for fedor would be Gonzaga (in the best shape of his life)
These are matches that I would like to see, but I really dont think that he will loose to ANYONE! Best chance goes to Barnett for sure!
What about tim sylvia?
he is going to beat fedor on july19 and i will be ringside to witness this historical event.
my winner predictions are-
sylvia via armbar
lindland via decision
babalu via tko
belfort via ko
aleksander via rnc
arlovski via tko
lil nog via any submission
rizzo via ko agian
Sylvia via armbar? That, my friend, is a ballsy prediction if I ever heard one.
yea that is ballsy, considering out of 24 wins Tim has only ever won 2 by sub and they were both chokes..
and I predict Babalu will drop both his hands and lead in head first effectivly blocking an overhand right with his face..
The UFC is really intent on trying to make this a non-event with their Free tv event now scheduled to conflict with this card.
It really is a great example of the bullying that is prevelent in this business. (What makes TUF so interesting is locking up 16 bullies together with no schleps to bully.)
The UFC is not happy that they are now facing some real competition in the MMA promo biz.
The UFC’s had a free run in this biz for quite a while, but now look to have some serious competition.
There are some real big $$$ppl backing up Affliction and more & more fighters are questioning their deals with the UFC, particularily the “exclusivity” of their contracts. These exclusive deals really hurt us all, as the fighters can only fight in the UFC & therefore cannot (sometimes) make a decent living. A fighter has a very short “shelf life” & needs to make his dough while he can. In the UFC, a figher may have a 3 fight deal, (prob for some good $$$), but he may not get those fights in under 2 or 3 years. Not enough action for an MMA figher to make it in the biz. The UFC needs to drop its exclusivity for its non-championship calibre fighers.
I think the competition is good for us fans as it will force the UFC… (& other promotions) to put on the best shows possible to draw us to buy. It also forces Promotions to pay the fighters what they’re worth.
I really do love the UFC, it’s brought MMA to the mainstream. But to maintain the integrity of the sport, you can’t have a monopoly.
I will buy the PPV event & record the UFC fight card for later viewing.
well while I agree that competition is good, I don’t really see Affliction maintaining this level of quality in their fight cards..
