He thinks that the punishment may have been a bit harsh. What do you think?

dumbass better give up drinkin…
YO, listen up everyone. YOU know who I am? I am a UFC fighter! (might be worse then Karo’s rant!lol
I feel bad for Jesse but Dana is absolutely right, he is not ready mentally. Dana was actually real cool and intelligent in last nights episode. he was right, I mean can u imagine this guy when he becomes famous? I could see a sexual assualt charge or something like that in his future…
Shape up Jesse!
“This is my town”
-Dana White…………I loved that!
Dana was correct, just like you said John.
What I want to know, is how exactly Jesse was “terrorizing girls at the bar”?
The UFC can’t send 1 message to the fighters for 3-4 months (drink, get crunk and destroy the $700K house we have for you), then send another message that’s a complete 180 from the other for 1 night (Now Tim, you have to me an upstanding citizen tonight, BTW..how’s you Chardonnay?).
But in this case…I’d probably understand the dude’s antics more it he was a young fighter in his early 20’s. But this dude is a full grown man, offspring an all (not that having a child makes you a man, but it definitely gives you something to fight for..pun intended). This dude new how he would act if had to much firewater in him. Bad choice for him to make man.
But I thought it almost as a self-fulfilling prophecy for him. If you remember in the beginning of the season, JT said that he has been afforded many opportunities in life and for one reason or another, manages to let that opportunity slip right through his fingers.
He made his bed man… then he pissed all over it.
Have to be… “have to me”.. wutta nerd
I agree with the guy who wrote that you can’t punish one fighter and not have some serious repercussions for all the guys who destroyed that house. Jesse messed up, absolutely! But what does Dana (whom I really respect and like) say to the world when he lets them away with all that crap.
Why should a window in a limo be given more importance than those bunch of guys ripping a nice house apart?
If Dana doesn’t want to create the image that the UFC guys are ‘animals,’ every guy should be dinged from their earnings for all that was destroyed?
Yes, they get all pent up while in the house with no contact from home, etc. However, to represent a company which has given legitimacy to Ultimate Fighting, all actions by those potential members of the organization — in the house as well as in public — should be monitored, with responsibility assigned to every house member who violates those guidelines.
Would they rip their own homes a part like that? NO! Because they know the cost of those things and the value of caring for their own property.
They owe you as much — if not more — Dana.
He sounds wasted………..lol
Mania, When will the remainder match ups of the tuF finale be released?
I hope they match up Crueder against a TUFer from the previous season like they did with Matt Brown vs. Aroyo!
It’s Tim vs. Cale.
Hi, this is Dana White and I have a HUGE announcement……………….
LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW
The TRUE ULTIMATE FIGHTER FINALE JT vs Amir
LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW
I think hes napoleon dynamite, thats why he got kicked off
At least I thought he handled the news well. He’s a good guy. But Coco is his downfall.
I think its unfair to label Jessie an alcoholic. He probably is, especially since he is in AA, but what do we really know? We got to see 1 month of his life when he was put in a very strange situation, house full of fighters, no contact with the outside world, nothing to do to pass the time.
I would like to see the fighters get a TV in the house and some video games, because they way it is right now, what do we expect?: They have nothing to do but Drink! I understand no internet or contact with the outside world because that is the only way to guarentee that no info will be leaked, but whats wrong with a little TV? a playstation for crying out loud?
I think about my personality and I dont drink very often, I am more of a smoker, but I like to remain occupied. I cant fall asleep without watching tV. I think about what I would be like in that environment and Its sad to say that I would probably be acting a fool just like everyone else…Not to the extent that Jesse did (I cant imagine peeing my pants).
Not making excuses for Jesse, but I dont want to really judge him either because its a situation that I havent experienced. Did Dana expect him not to get Hammered as soon as the show was over? He has been locked in a house with dudes for months and was hype about making it to the Finale. I dont excuse his behavior, but i wont judge him for it.
I do think Dana was right in his decision. I do not think that Jesse is mentally ready! like Dana said, imagine him if he becomes a star? He would be a mess! He has growing up to do, and I feel bad because he did fight his way into the finale (regardless if he bored me to death on the way). Its a shame that this happened but it could have been worse. IMO, Jesse is lucky that he acted a fool in the Fertita’s casino, because had it happened in another casino, Jesse could have gotten into more trouble.
Not making excuses for him, but I do think some of the rules of the house need to change!
You think it’s bad with alcohol in the house? LMFAO. If they had a t.v., can you imagine the fights over the remote?
It’s not unfair at all John, and thats coming from an alcoholic. I;ve been saying it all year, he’s embarrassing himself and his family. I don’t get why they are given alcohol anyways (I wondered this when I drank too). They are their to train, and try to make it to the biggest mma organization in the world! I know, I saw you guys last time say it’s reality…In whose reality do you get to trash a house to the point that it has to be remodeled, or just make a list of things you “need,” leave, and come home to find your stuff magically there! Maybe some of you guys that still live in your moms basement get spoiled like that, but it isn’t reality. The reality of it is that guys like Tim Crueder deserve to be there, period! Sorry Mike, but CB isn’t very impressive at all, and that stupid “I smell shit” look on his face is annoying! Kevin also can’t stand this douche always refering to himself in the 3rd person. And he seems to be just another lay and pray guy, even though he tried to stand with Tim in that fight.
As far as the episode last night, it’s too bad I had to wait all year for a half decent show! TUF is getting a bit old, and the fact that they’re already filming the new season for fall (2 in a year) is a bit disturbing!
Yeah, some videogames would probably be a good thing. lol
i think dana will give him another chance, but i think he’s gotta grow up. he’s funny as hell, but he has a kid so get your shit together and learn from it. become more then a damn wrestler well your at it.
who didnt see this one coming
Jesse
i think the punishment fits the crime. his actions were inexcusible and show fighters and the UFC in a bad light. i hope for his sake that he gets his life together. maybe then he will get a 2nd chance. good luck to him.
His big mistake was throwing around the UFC name in a drunken rampage and probably pissing off one of Dana White’s casino-owner buds… That being said, I still think he’s a boring fighter anyway and his interviews are just painful to sit through with that lisp and misuse of vocabulary.
hahaha you gotta love the lisp
yup, the clincher was throwing around the UFC name, while terrorizing the ladies. White had a video/casino ties/1st hand information from security, it hit White close to home. It’s not like guys got into a beef and a fight broke out, Jesse was terrorizing innocent bystanders.
Police should also send White the video of Chris Leben choking out a cell mate!
I think Leben was chocking his cell mates chicken…
Thorazine, you obviously need to reed more than just the headline of the Leben thread before making assumptions…
Palace Station is owned by the Fertitas, who own the UFC. If he would have pulled this crap at any other casino the tape would have NEVER been given to Dana White.
JT’s biggest mistake was saying he was a UFC fighter in a Fertita casino. Period.
Getting kicked off for talking is just plain silly. I hope Affliction picks him up and pays him more while calling him “The Ultimate Fighter” or some other crap to rub it in Dana’s face. WTF!?! Leben is in jail, Liddell shows up completely drunk and passes out during interviews, the TUF fighters drink constantly and destroy the house every season….all of this is FINE WITH DANA WHITE and shows off their “UFC VALUES”????
Dana White made a knee jerk reaction and ruined the entire season. He started to realize it after it was all over and that’s why he said, “call me in a few months”
He was already thinking about the “TRUE ULTIMATE FIGHTER FINALE” Amir vs. JT….live on pay per view!
I agree with you. And let’s not forget BJ Penn getting in a fight with an officer outside a club in Hawaii and having to go to court over it! Dana completely overreacted about Jesse.
I expect to see him in the WEC in a few months once things die down.
His biggest mistake was any time he drank. Lay off the liqour and he’ll be ok.
Dana did the right thing, you make his company look bad, he will destroy your future. Get your $hit together and maybe you still have a chance , otherwise you will be a face in the crowd
The entire TUF show makes the UFC look bad. Really bad. I’m a fan of the UFC, but TUF is not good marketing if the UFC is looking to go “mainstream”. They enable losers to act like losers with no consequences… until now with Jesse getting kicked off. Now, if the UFC wants to stay right where they’re at then Dana should keep showcasing out-of-control nutcases on TUF.
This is a case where Dana saw an opportunity to get rid of an extremely boring fighter - a guy who would be nearly impossible to market successfully. I’m sure Dana feels like his decision was based in part on maintaining the integrity of the UFC, but if you watch a single episode of TUF you’ll see that on a daily basis the UFC integrity standards are quite low.
I never heard or saw this answered. Why the hell did he stick around Vegas when the show ended?
i guess cause they live far away from vegas..excitment about being in the finals and just wanting to party in vegas!
Because he wanted to celebrate making the finals? How hard is that to figure out?
I think it was too harsh. But, it was the perfect opportunity for the UFC to get their golden boy, overhyped CB back into the finals.
C’mon if it were BJ Penn or Liddel or someone like that they would of laughed at it. I mean Liddell was on a national morning show high as a kite, slurring his words terribly, and that WAS WHEN HE WAS NOT FALLING ASLEEP on the interviewer. No repercussions there.
I mean Did Jesse even get arrested??? he met with Dana the day after or was it the 2nd day after it happened.
But AGAIN, if the UFC likes you or thinks they can market you, they will give you easy fights and give you every opportunity possible
Chuck Liddell and BJ Penn are champions. This douche is a schmuck off the reality show, and technically hadn’t even earned a spot in the UFC at that point. Probably the only thing that kept him from getting arrested was the fact that he pulled this at the Fertittas’ casino, where they no doubt have DW on speed dial. Call it a double standard if you want, but it exists everywhere. Watch during college football season. If some stud linebacker at a major program gets arrested for getting drunk and beating the crap out of somebody the head coach will ALWAYS “let the legal system run its course” in order to keep him on the field. If a third-stringer does the same thing the coach will cut him immediately to show he stands for order and discipline.
PW-
Right on point. Great post.
I was thinking that too fightfan. It seemed like Dana never had a thing for Jesse, he always wanted CB in the final. Guys like Amir are going to continue the sport in the right direction, but “take down” CB is the reason other viewers are watching the XC Elite. There are just too many take down fighters that are slowing down the matches. Tim should have won that fight - everytime CB took him down he got back to his feet with minimum damage. Tired of guys like CB getting a point because of a self defense take down. The opponent who get’s taken down and doesn’t afflict any damage and get’s back to his feet should get the point.
All night - “Take him down, CB, take him down”
What a joke
LOL, people watch EliteXC because of CB Dollaway. LOL that makes a lot of sense,….
CB only has had 1 fight go to a decision for the Credeur fight.
I meant CB’s style of fighting. Talk to fans who aren’t MMA fans - they all want stand up action with the odd submission. North America wants action not roll around wrestling.
And my opinion of what happened to Jesse comes from someone that thinks that he is the most boring fighter on the show and cant stand his drunken antics.
Too bad for Jesse. I just think he got robbed of a chance of a lifetime
I do agree that he is painfully boring to watch, and that watching a grown-ass man piss himself repeatedly is not entertaining.
I don’t think it was to harsh, i think that most organizations would do the same thing, I think Jesse knows that he gets out of control when he drinks, he has to face the reality of his actions, just my opinion
You missed the whole point. He went around saying “do you know who I am? I am a UFC fighter” When infact none of the cast memebers are. That is what pissed off Dana the most! Using the UFC name in a such a bad way and without a contract.
I think this was a horrible ratings gimmick. People like BJ Penn can hit a cop. Koppenhaver(sp) can beat the shit out of some kid. I’m sure the list could go on and on. And these people go on fighting under the UFC banner. But in this instance they throw this guys life down the tube after having him stay in a house wanting him to break shit and drinking for ratings and then he takes his drinking and breaking shit to far after the best win of his life. Punishment doesn’t fit the crime.
I agree, they only did this for ratings, I mean, the full season was boring so they had to save it by throwing someone out. so many ppl get in trouble such as bj penn, but small players also like leben and koppenhaver and nothing happens to them. To me this is all about ratings.
Jesse is an alcoholic. He deserved to get kicked out of TUF. Him saying the punishment was too harsh shows that he doesn’t get it. He needs to admit that he has a serious drinking problem, take total responsibility for his actions and go through AA or rehab. His only chance to get back into the UFC is to say something like, “I screwed up, I have a problem with alcohol and Dana was right to kick me out. Being an UFC fighter is the most important thing in the world to me after my son and I pledge to give up alcohol and uphold the image of a fighter in the UFC. I hope that I can earn the right to fight in the UFC again after I get my act together”.
Hah! He’s not an alcoholic. He’s just a bit of an idiot. What happened that night was not that big of a deal, and Dana could of easily kept it quiet. The UFC used that event to make the “best TUF episode ever”. People make mistakes, and the UFC tries to create drama by putting fighters in that type of environment. I’m not saying that what Jesse did alright, but the decision Dana made was not because of ethics or morals, it was a business decision… that happened to really fuck Jesse over.

Yeah, the UFC doesn’t allow alcoholics to fight for them.
Isn’t Evan Tanner fighting at the TUF Finale? LOLOL
The UFC got lucky. They didn’t want to showcase jt laying on top of amir for 15 minutes? He would have won and then they would have had to pay him piles of cash to lay on top of more fighters on the televised portion of ppvs. He’s everything people assume mma fighters to be, meatheads, bullies, and borderline criminals. Having said that, he’s actually a likable guy but as a fighter he makes jake o bryon look like cung le.
Did u actually listen to the interview? That’s exactly what he said. He said he made a huge mistake and understands he has a drinking problem, he’s started AA and has cut drinking out of his life. I think the punishment did fit the crime but hopefully this served as a major wake up call for him and he will get a second chance down the road.
Good for him. He fits the definition of an alcoholic perfectly. If drinking is effecting your life negatively and you cant stop you are an alcoholic.
But Dana probably saw Jesse as a loser and wanted an excuse to cut him loose.
Chuck Liddell could get away with doin crap like that cause he’s Chuck Liddell. He’s put in the time. He’s paid his dues. And now, he’s a megastar. He’s pretty much been the face of the UFC for years now. Who is Jesse Taylor? He hasn’t earned the right to even call himself a UFC fighter, much less do it while going berserk in Vegas. He screwed up. He knows it. He got what he deserved. If Dana let that slip, does Jesse learn anything? Or does he keep drinking and making a friggin fool of himself. In the long run, Danas decision is the best for Jesse. It will force him to grow up and quit thinking about himself and figure out he needs to be a role model to his son.
Punishment was way too harsh. No other professional sport kicks athletes out or bans them for their personal behavior.
Dana White tries to manipulate all of these shows for ratings- he knew that this would add drama to this episode and give him a “more exciting” stand up finale fight.
No one got even close to beating JT$. Who cares if his style is boring when he simply beats the crap out of people. Its too bad that he has to suck up to pussy ass Dana White in order to salvage his career. Hopefully he will make it on his own and be able to say #$%@ you to Dana White.
Professional athlete…..? He was competing for a contract. As PW said there is a trail of aspiring to be pro athletes that have exhibited the same behavior and are facing the legal system. If you like I can send you numerous articles on our U of Texas Championship football team that are still in and out of court. Actually JT probably has Dana to thank that he was not taken to the casino meat locker, tased in his underwear, and then picked up by the Vegas PD on numerous counts.
As for JT he will be ok if he remembers what Henry Ford said, “Failure means the opportunity to begin again more intelligently…”
The NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR all punish their athletes for their behavior off the camera, court, field, or whatever.
Act like a decent person with respect for others and you should float through life with much problems.
Does nobody get that he was doing this in a casino owned by the Fertitta brothers. You can not have somebody that technically is not a UFC fighter going into the Bosses casino’s raising hell. Anyone who thinks this was a publicity stunt is an Idiot. He messed up bad get over it. I like the guy, tho not a fan of his fighting but damn he desreves what he got.
He is a drunk and I just watched a video where he admits it’s screwed up his life before….and is now in AA !! Good ! He needs it, badly ! I hope he gets his life together. He ruined his chances and I don’t think Dana will ever return his calls. It was immature and irresponsible and a disgrace to all fighters. Grow up and get sober , Pal. I hated watching his antics…boring !! I want to see disciplined fighters that really want to fight not be the next edition on tabloid television !
I think it was appropriate punishment. If everything Dana said from the casino is true, then that is no way how you want people to represent your company. I think between the incident at the casino and all the shit he pulled in the house (pissing himself twice most notably), he made fighters look like idiots, especially when the sport is pushing to gain acceptance.
And now, a limerick:
It’s no surprise that JT Money
Won’t fight at the big TUF Finale.
He got really drunk,
and Dana’s heart sunk,
and Tim lost a good fight to CB.
Did I really just read a limerick on here? LOL
Can you please write a creative haiku next?
Jesse Taylor drinks
I’m a UFC fighter!
Dana says bye-bye
Dam Jesse!!! I would have rather seen Jesse vs Amir in the finals.
Ops why don’t you post spolier warning first or hide the video in a post? Isn’t this an International site? or just for Americans?
Our Episode of Tuf Doesn’r Air until Friday night.
Thanks for spoliing the ending of this TUF series for me.
the site url does not have a “.uk” at the end of it.
And if you visit this site even semi regularly, you would know that they ALWAYS post results to TUF episodes, after they air on WEDNESDAYS
When you go to an MMA news site, expect to see spoilers, you dolt.
If Jesse wasn’t a boring, hump and lay, one dimesional fighter - he would have gotten a slap on the wrist and would have continued in the finals vs. Amir.
Dana doesn’t want another Tito Ortiz style fighter. Every match JT was in was a complete carbon copy of the one before. He’s a great wrestler, but, has no flash - soooo…YOU’RE OUT!
I think it was harsh. If JT had charisma and marketable looks like a GSP or had KO potential in each fight like Chris Leben, he’d have no problem.
I mean come on….Chris Leben’s been in tons of trouble, hell, he’s in jail as I type this. But, he’s got KO power and his fights are always exciting.
I think the problem was that Jesse did that in the casinos owned by the Fertitas.
I didn’t get to watch this episode, I usually miss 1 out of a season series, but, I can guess you’re absolutely right. Dana White doesn’t like anything about Jesse, especially his lay n’ pray style. I’m pretty sure Jesse would have won the finale and got a 6 figure contract. This was White’s opportunity to manipulate the TUF finals on Spike TV.
Jesse’s not a bad guy at all, I bet he wises up after this and realizes, no one is going to look out for u and life isn’t fair.
I wouldn’t be surprised if White keeps Jesse Taylor out of the UFC altogether even though he should give him a second chance. White is very transparent about his biases, even though he wouldn’t admit it and no one in the UFC is going to tell him to his face.
Dana doesn’t owe this guy anything. Making a very lucrative career by fighting in the UFC is a privilege, not a right. Dana told JT to call him in a few months after he got his stuff together, so most likely he will show up in the UFC at some point. He’s just going to start out as an undercard 4K to show, 4K to win guy and not a ready-made star. In my opinion, Dana was far kinder and more generous with JT than he needed to be.
This guy is immature and irresponsible and does he really expect people to actually feel sorry for him?
When you have a golden opportunity to fight for the coveted title as the Ultimate Fighter and a $100,000 contract, you need to do everything in your power to ensure you give yourself the best chance to obtain it. This idiot simply pissed it all away and believed the way he was acting was just and part of the entitlement of being on a reality television show.
The worst part about this whole interview is the fact that he blames his drinking, grow up dumb ass its not your drinking its you that is the problem. Plain and simple he’s a spoiled child that can’t control his behavior and the puishment is more than fair, too leanient for me. Kudos to Dana White and the UFC for doing something that any parent would do to a 5 year old: Take away his toy and give him a time out. This maybe the kick in the ass this idiot might need to get him to grow and realize his potential because if he doesn’t he’ll end up bouncing bars and clubs throwing guys just like himself out! I see this ending badly for Jesse Taylor and rightfully so.
Letting the fighters (not just Jesse) tear up the house each season while stupid drunk gives the message its okay to be an idiot and there are no repercussions. In fact, it seems encouraged because it makes good TV. If Dana White was really concerned about the image of the UFC and the sport, there would be guidelines for behavior in the house, including drunkenness and mindlessly damaging property.
Of course this is different from behavior in public, but for a drunken lunkhead that wasn’t so clear. He got all kinds of attention and airtime for it in the house. I wonder if he’d have been kicking out limo windows if there hadn’t been drunken destruction allowed (if not encouraged) in the house.
The guy is painful to watch or listen to, but the punishment was out of line. A warning and a private apology to the casino people would have done it. This was just for ratings and a better finale fight.
Jesse was the biggest goofball on the show. Always smashing stuff up, eating junk, pissing himself or getting drunk. His fights were boring LnP with no real GnP. Not going to be missed.
Jesse is a schmuck. Leave leiben alone.
Yes, I listened to every word of the interview. If you have ever dealt with alcoholics, you would realize that Jesse believes he was partially a victim (he thinks the penalty was too harsh) and he said he is doing “AA stuff and has not had anything to drink”. He did not commit to stopping drinking long-term. I like Jesse and would like to see him succeed, but he did not convince me in his interview that he truly understands his problem and is fully committed to change, and I bet he did not convince Dana, either. But hopefully, he will take action to prove his sincerity and commitment.
Biggest overstatement…
I am “SORRYY”
Whaaaaaaaaaaaa
What am I gonna tell my kid.
How about starting with…
Son, I blew a chance in the UFC… … uhnnn oh ha ha I am peeing myself.
Jesse Taylor is a schumk. Who talks about making their son proud and then pees themselves on national tv? The kid has a serious problem with alcohol. It may have been for ratings, but it was the right decission anyway.
I seriously feel so bad for his kid. Everyone in the world knows his dad is a moron.
he will get another chance, Dana told him to call him in next few months. he just needs to sober up.
Aside from all the name calling, I am seriously wondering if it is even legal to fire someone from your business for having a drinking problem.
I am pretty sure it is not, he is not a problem person, he just has a problem drinking.
I’d let him back if he promised to quit drinking as long as he is a UFC fighter and gets some treatment.
I feel bad for him, because he probably knows he is an animal when he drinks, and puts himself in a stupid position every time he does.
Anyhow, hope JT quits drinking and trains his standup game more, because he is a very good wrestler, and IMO would have been a better finale than CB who doesn’t even have the cardio to properly lay and pray.
First, he was not yet part of Dana’s business, as he had not been offered a contract, so he couldn’t have been fired. Second, he wasn’t kicked out of the show for having a drinking problem, he was kicked off for making a very public ass of himself and embarrassing his potential employer.
Ha! Fine legal analysis there by DirtyML. You don’t think you can fire someone legally for alcohol/drug related issues? Think about this one. If i go back to the office drunk later this afternoon and my boss says anything, ill just tell him that DirtyML assured me it is not legal to discharge me for such behavior.
TAYLOR IS A MORON…He could have won this thing and he blows it boozing it up.A real fighter has dedication and self control.
Srew him he got what he deserved,
Anyone else wondering if he peed his pants in the casino to show how cool he was?
Jesse will get his chance again to fight, but it is going to be a lot harder for him. He screwed up and now has to pay for his screw up. The penalty is just fine and could be the best thing that has ever happened to him. Key word is could…time will tell.
Jesse is retarded.
off topic..but watching unleashed before TUF i realized how damn fast Lesnar lost a point for hitting Mir in the back of the head!! he hit him once maayybbe twice and lost a point…there has been alot of fights where people are smashing people to the back of the head and barely get a warning (k-flo vs lauzon). just wanted to know what you think..cause Brock lost a point awful fast
Never did quite understand that. Only thing I could think of is That Brock has a better chance of seperating ones head from their shoulders than most.
I feel bad for him. The fact that with or without alcohol, he felt entitled to kick out the window of a limo, and then to harass some women at the bar, I think is the real issue. For him to justify being violent towards women and property because he’s a UFC Fighter shows that he’s not sophisticated enough to take on the celebrity of being in the UFC. He should have been kicked out, both for the integrity of the UFC and for his own good.
I don’t think his UFC career is over. Look at all the hype this incident got. Apart from this incident, he comes across as a likeable enough guy, and I think Dana White is smart enough to understand that people want to see him get a second chance. So Dana will do the smart thing and give it some time before bringing him back a few months down the road. If Dana keeps him away too long, people will start to forget about him, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him on an undercard by the fall.
What was White expecting to happen? He puts them in a house filled with alcohol, but no tv. They get air time for getting drunk and smashing the house. They get an extra $5K for smashing their opponent. An animal was created (Coco the monkey), and unleashed on Vegas. You won’t like him when he’s angry and drunk. What JT Money did on the last episode (kicking a window out of a limo) didn’t surprise any of us who had been watching him get drunk, destroy the house, pee himself, etc… If there were repurcussions for destroying the house, I don’t think JT Money would have ever gone that far in the end. Unfortunately, Dana and the show created that animal. I, personally, would have preferred it if they then gave Amir extra resources to train to destroy the animal they created. Buffer’s voice: “And NOW… it’s TIME… introducing in the red corner… Amir “the coco the monkey destroying” Sabadollah… and in the blue corner… Jesse “JT Money’s Coco the Monkey kicker” Taylor.”
Remember when Marlon Sims and Noah Thomas were kicked off the season 5 show for fighting in the house? Dana gets on his soapbox and starts preaching about how they’ve tarnished the image of fighters, blah blah blah. If Dana cared so much, then he wouldn’t have aired the footage…but he did for the ratings. It’s a glaring double standard, but what do you expect from a businessman.
TUF is such a good show but i watch it because i like the fights and the competition not the realty side of things. this was a ratings based stunt because the season had no high points like others. eg marlon and noah, noah inhafer (douchbag), serras boy. dana could have easily kept it quiet but he wants CB to get the contract and be the face of TUF7.
jesse taylor will be back in the ufc because hes a dam good fighter. if not he will tear up in elite xc or wec.
Agreed Keano
Jesse is a freak of nature. No one else could drink a quart of Bacardi and fight 3 hard rounds the next day. This guy eats fried chicken stuffed with bacon and cheese and can make his weight by playing table tennis. His fighting style is definitely boring, but so were the styles of Matt Hughes and Tito Ortiz but hey had successful careers. I think Danna took this opportunity to manipulate the finals, the UFC wants to get away from ground and pound and become a more stand up fighting organization. The ability to control your opponent so that he cant get up is underrated. Any how Jesse “the juggernaut” Taylor needs to get himself cleaned up, he can grow a beard and make a comeback fighting sand baggers in WEC until Danna sees fit to let him into the UFC
Punishment should fit the crime. jesse will/did pay for it. yet dana throws him out. yes he needs to grow up but how does that help the guy. of course we didn’t hear the whole story so i don’t know all the facts. but if breaking a window, being a little cocky and bragging about being a ufc fighter, and being rude to girls was it taking him out of the finals was way to harsh. he’s still walking the streets so he couldn’t have been that bad to the girls. i can only assume either dana over-reacted or he truly wanted CB in the finals (hope that is not the case). if the former i hope dana gives him another chance. yes jt’s fights are kind of boring but he won fair and square. send the guy to counseling and make that a subject of a show this would truly help him and countless others. how about a chris leben v jesse taylor match. call it UFC: Anger Management!
What got me is it looked like CB was in the limo with him….. I thought that it looked like CB anyways. Even when he went into the hotel lobby it looked like CB followed Jesse in. Why don’t they bring those other dudes up too? I understand he was in the finals but I honestly don’t think it was just him. I bet someone was like “you wont kick that limo window out!” hahaha Peer preasure’s a bitch.
I think that everyone knew that with enough booze, JT would do something like that. In fact, I would be willing to bet that someone who didn’t want him to be there (or better yet, someone who did want CB there) placed JT in that hotel, filled him up with complimentary hootch, said things to rile him up and, just like a firework on the 4th of July, lit the proverbial match and watched the fireworks. It seems like he had been encouraged to stay longer (or he probably would have been back home to see his kid and share the news) just so he would sabotage himself. And, yes, he did do that - really unacceptable.
Here’s what really bothered me the most - this person is ill. If he is so psychologically unable to handle himself when he is feeling GOOD, what could happen to him when he isn’t? I feel that Dana put JT in a position where he may have done something to himself - you can’t tell me that you would be completely surprised if JT hurt himself (or worse!)on purpose. If Dana needed to eliminate him because of his illness, I understand that, but he should have had a counselor right there at the meeting and paid to get JT into treatment and in a psychologically safe environment. Dana was reckless in not providing JT with the opportunity to get help, if he could not risk offering JT the opportunity to win the UFC.
I also agree that providing the house with an all-you-can-drink buffet is a recipe for disaster, and no, I don’t enjoy watching Coco the Monkey or anyone else tear up the house!
I agree- If it was so bad Dana White should have taken the high road and offered to pay for Jesse’s treatment. Not send him off to deal with the worst moment of his life by himself. Dana White used Jesse’s hard work, fighting and antics to make money/ratings and than he just kicks him to the curb.
Dana give JT one more fight then kick him off….
Jesse Taylor vs Jeremy May.
You know what I would love to see. Donald Trump should call JT and offer him a fight in Affliction. JT v.s Tito Ortiz. I’d much rather see that fight than JB Dalloway and Amir 2.
You’re kidding, right? That fight wouldn’t last a minute.
I love the fact my kids got to see someone have to pay the price and give up everything they worked for over a few hours of mindless drinking and acting up. I wish him the best, but I hope he never returns. Way to go champ, little late in life, but lesson learned, time to get an 8-5 Jess.
One more thing … Can someone PLEASE tell CB Dalloway to stop referring to himself in 3rd person?!? It’s truly disturbing!
No sh*t, and for him to take off his stupid sunglasses while indoors.
It was a blatant ratings scam and Jesse was the sacrificial lamb. Dana White saw the opportunity to A) make a behavioral example out of Jesse, B) make the “most shocking (and marketable) final episode ever”, C) put two guys into the ring who will stand up the whole time. Dana doesn’t like ground and pound fighters and Jesse is fantastic at it. If he really thought that the incident was so bad for the UFC image, he wouldn’t have produced a 90 minute episode emphasizing it.
UFC Fighters have acted a lot worse than Jesse both in public AND in the house and have gotten away with it professionally. At least Jesse is a good guy who treats the other people around him well. Look at Jon Koppenhaver, Bobby Southworth- even Koscheck was a piece of s#*@ to the people around him.
The speech that Dana White gave to Jesse was the lamest thing ever. ‘Vegas is HIS town?’ Ha- have him say that to Wynn, Trump or the Maloofs. ‘Jesse has serious mental issues?’ He got blacked out drunk in Vegas celebrating after being encouraged to get drunk and smash up a house for a few weeks. Are inappropriate drunks an anomaly in Vegas? (ya, I know, its not an excuse but its not out-of-this-world bad)
Its a shame that the best fighter on the show wont be able to demonstrate that he is.
FYI - According to the radio (91x - San Diego) this morning, the night that Jesse kicked out the limo window, the TUF guys were hanging out with Tito Ortiz and his crew and they instigated Jesse into being wild after seeing how drunk he was.
Jesse sucks any all he did was boring ground and pound he sucks,I’m glad he’s gone all he did was the same old shit.he’s retarded he pissid himself come on!.
Oh don’t worry Jesse you’ll get your chance. Just like about 1/4 of the Ultimate Fighters who lost, Dana still gave them the opportunity.
Yeah, if Dana were so concerned with image and not rating$$ he would not have aired this behavior, let alone promoted the shit out of this episode, he would have just said Jesse dq’d from final for hangin’ w/ Tito, or blahblah, whatever….and Jesse, shut your f’n hole about going to AA, it is an anonymous program that states we don’t announce ourselves at the level of press, radio and film, so shut the f up and get sober, or not…but please don’t make AA look bad with your early grandstanding, pleez……. but I do feel for you, as I pissed away much til quitting through AA 17 yrs ago….
It’s about time. Coco needed to go. Dana has wo0rked hard to make MMA legit and the sport has grown because of his and others efforts. They try to ensure it does not become a WWE like circus and true blood sport. We don’t need nucleheads like him trying to turn the sport into a monkey knife fight….No Coco…put down that shank
his style is boring as hell. so dana was happy to kick off someone like that off the show
Dana White probably had an orgasm when he saw the vid of Jesse making an a** of himself.
He couldn’t wait to get rid of this guy…What a stiff!
Just what the UFC needs…another lay & pray fighter.
GSP has the position all locked up for now Jesse. He doesn’t want anyone to hit him either.
That’s what you do when you’re a Pussy & you don’t want anyone to hit you, …you take the guy down and lay on top of him like your starring in a GAY porno.
GOOD RIDDANCE!
But that’s exactly what CB does - I thought he was going to go get his blankie and get some zzz’s while he was using Tim as a pillow. CB DULLaway should get a room.
