Rampage is right….Forrest cant bust a grape! He has no KO power, while Rampage has the toughest Chjin Forrest will ever face. THere is no way Forrest can KO Rampage, he cant even stun Rampage!

You know, I’m a big fan of both Forrest and Rampage. Entertaining fights, even better one liners. But I can’t fathom what Forrest’s strategy is going be. I hope he makes a good showing. But I don’t see where he is better than RJ at anything: stand-up, he’s deadmeat-if he can take it to the ground (not likely) RJ’s got good BJJ defense and he’s just too d@mn strong. To paraphrase Amir, Rampage “by……….Murder?”

i know how u feel bro. i’m a huge fan of both forrest and rampage. and yeah anywhere in the fight, rampage has a slight advantage. but i’m going to root for the underdog. i hope forrest wins. i’m not going to call how forrest will win. but if i had to i would say, forrest wins 2nd round when randy throws forrest a bat! lol!! give him hell forrest!!

I like Forrest too but Rampage will destroy him very easily, might toy with him first.

I actually hope Rampage gets a little redemption for the VIP with a hairline fracture to his femur :)

I wonder if Forrest will try some muay thai a la wandy style. I don’t think he can submit rampage. He won’t knock rampage out with his hands. Maybe he’ll try some knees to the face…

either way i still think rampges takes this.

I just thought I would chime in and say that you should never count a guy out completely. Forrest is a guy who has beat Chael Sonnen, Jeff Monson, and Shogun so he has skill. I think Rampage is at his best right now, and that is going to be tough for Griffin to deal with, but I will never count him out.

Never said never! If anyone can out work Rampage, Forest can. If he can avoid that flash KO (like with the Queen of Mean) I think he can squeeze out a decision. I know that will be tough with the fightging style of Rampage.
I am putting my money on Forest with a decision - $1.00 any takers?

I definitely wouldn’t count Forrest out. I mean, no one thought he could beat Shogun either.

I would just prefer having Rampage as champ. There are better potential matchups when he has the belt.

Forrest is in for an ass whoopin’. Rampage takes this easily - can’t see Forrest hurting Rampage one bit. Hopefully this fight doesn’t end TOO quickly, it probably will considering how different the two guys skill set is.

man you guys give forrest no credit at all. In all likelihood, i see rampage takin it too, but give the guy, his due… no one was givin him a shot against shogun and he went out and got it done. And please save all the bullshit about shogun bein injured, forrest set a pace, wore him down and finished him..that’s it. Now I can’t see page gassin like that so i’ll take him too, but I don’t see forrest goin out quick like he did in that jardine fight, forrest doesn’t stand and trade for no reason like he used to, he’s calmed down, uses good footwork and should be able to use his reach to keep some distance, ultimately, page bumrushes him, clinches slams and gnp’s him but i just don’t see him steamrollin him as easy as most of u cats think.

same goes for bisbing. u guys call him a can eater after he took care of business in impressive fashion with day, but he was set to fight leben(i still wanna see that for the record). He doesn’t pick his fights and sure as hell doesn’t pick replacements when his opponents can’t make it to the venue. Yea he shoulda lost to Hammill but if that fight was one or two rounds longer, he finishes Hamsteak. He’s gonna be around the top of the 85ers for quite awhile so get used to it, hopefully next fight against leben for an all out bombfest, and then give him a solid bjj guy like leites and test his ground game, then he’s ready for Franklin/Hendo… if he can get past one of them, then he can get destroyed by the spider……also, in place of Leben + Leites, they could give him Kampmann in like a title eliminator eliminator, winner gets Franklin/Hendo for a title shot

Ok folks, only in an alternate universe does Forrest have a true shot at winning this fight. Either that or Rampage would need to somehow beat himself in order to lose.

I’m not going to bash Forrest and say that he has a weak-chin because based on his record, he’s only been KO’d twice in 19 pro fights. In other words, the glass-jaw label doesn’t have enough factual evidence behind it. We’ll need to let FG’s career develop a little more to find out whether or not that label will ever stick.

Win or lose, RJ has fended off some of the absolute BEST grappler’s in the business like Hendo, Bustamante, Arona, Sakaraba & Lindland for example. No mentally healthy being can seriously argue that FG has equal or better wrestling/BJJ than those guys.

Again, win or lose, RJ’s gone to war and withstood vast amounts of punishment from the hardest hitting strikers in the weight-class. FG may have stepped up a level since his TUF days but he does not have the raw punching power of a Wand or a Chuck Liddel.

After his 5 round grinding match with Hendo, no one can seriously question RJ’s cardio. It’s on par with the elite. As far as questioning his heart based on fights 3+ years ago is unfair to any fighter currently pulling his weight in the octagon.

Although FG is physically the bigger man, at best he may be close in strength but I guarantee he will have no clear advantage in that field.

Once you factor in that RJ wields KO power in both hands and explain to me how anyone can logically come to the answer that Forrest wins this fight?

Dont give me any GSP vs Serra examples either because almost no one knew Serra had that power in his fists. It was a mystery to all before we saw it happen. In the RJ vs FG case, all the cards are face-up on the table and aside from having a gameplan from Randy up his sleeve, FG has no silver bullet to slay the werewolf known as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
