shoxcThe next Sho XC event scheduled for June 27, which was to be held outdoors at the Sycuan Casino and Resort, in the San Diego, Calif., area has been postponed because the promotion was having a hard time locking down the venue, according to FiveOuncesOfPain.com.

This is bad news considering the card for this show was shaping up nicely. New Elite XC high-profie signees Hector Lombard and Cyrile Diabate were both expected to make their promotion debuts on the Showtime telecast (in separate bouts).

King of the Cage (KOTC) Middleweight Champion Keith Berry was also going to make history for the organization as the first KOTC champ to defend his title on a Sho XC or Elite XC card.

The good news is that Elite XC officials are on the lookout for another place to hold the event, and will more than likely re-schedule for sometime in the not so distant future.

We’ll keep you posted.

Really. This ‘very reputable’ promotion is having a hard time getting a venue? No way! BOYCOTT EliteXC!

No loss if the show doesn’t happen.

Don’t care. I am excited about the Affliction card though.

I think Elite XC is in for hardtimes now after that CBS Fiasco. They had the opportunity of a lifetime, to showcase MMA to the commonman and give the true hardcore mma fan another reputable outlet and source of mma, only to have it crumble in to a huge pile of mma primetime pile of shit. If I did not know any better I would have thought Vince McMahon had produced and written the story lines. Fireworks and long entrances, sequence robes, trashy hot ladies that could not dance a 4 count to save their lives-let alone showcase any kind of choreography. All that trash and we have not even got in to the fight aspects. A judge who gave Kimbo round 2, apparently we were confused about the second round-It was not James Thompson dropping elbows for the better half of round two, it was Kimbo’s offensive strategy off of his back, he was actually head butting Thompsons elbow for the better half of the round, in hopes of breaking it so Thompson could not throw a anymore jabs. Great Strategy! I wish I had thought of that the last time I got my ass kicked. I could have told everyone that I did not get my ass kicked, I was trying to break his hand with my jaw, I have him right were I want him, lol.

Also when does Dan Mergliotta’s (spelling? the ref. from the Kimbo fight-also the same meat head from the Verra/Werdum fight)credentials come to question. He ruined the Kimbo fight and did not let Thompson lose with dignity. He made Thompson and Kimbo stand up when Thompson was in half guard at one point. Since when does a fight get stood up in an aggressive position? Pitty pat elbows or not he let Kimbo eat elbows for 2 minutes, Thompson takes 3 unanswered punches and he calls the fight. This is the same ref. who stopped Brandon Verra and Werdum fight. Verra was intelligently defending himself with only 25 seconds to go. Kimbo was not intelligently defending himself nor was he able to. This guy sucks as a referee and needs to be hung out to dry. I don’t know if e owes the wrong people some money or he can not make up his mind on what kind of ref he is, one minute he is on the side of caution the next he is on the fast track out of the ring. I may be wrong but whenever there has been real shoddy ref. work it seems to be him.

Anyway If Elite XC never has another promotion the world of MMA would be a better place. The better fighters in this promotion can go get deals with Affliction, Dreams, or Tito Ortiz venture whenever that comes about. Everyone else will have to go an fight fof their contracts elsewhere and work their way back up to the big show.

It would be interesting to see how he’d rebound after his last fight.

Another problem with this organization. They announce fights before they can lock down a location. This is not the only time this has ever happened.

Mania you don’t have to bother working on anything ELIte XC related, we don’t really care, it looks like filler to us.
