Dana can only gaurantee a certain amount of money. He cant let fighters pull a “kalib Starnes” and cash out 100,000 per fight…But he can(and he does) pay out insain bonus’s to fighters who fight their ass’s off, and entertain…
Look deep into the info Zuffa released when Randy lied about how fighters get paid…Dana never wanted to talk pay-day’s and in that case he had to defend himself, and he proved that fighters dont only get paid what is on their contract…
Dana takes care of his fighters well, and he is right by not wanting to discuss fighters pay-day’s, because it only causes problem’s..the UFC is still a young company(in sport years), and Dana really does put alot of cash into the UFC brand…
I cant wait until fighters are making 1,000,000 per fight and people are complaining that they make too much money, like people already complain about NBA, NHL, and NFL salary’s..you wont even realize how silly you were..

possibly, Pride fights had been extremely popular throughout the world and have always had a huge fan base before many of the “UFC FANS even jumped ship into the sport. Just because things dont revolve around america 24-7 it does not mean they are not popular or well liked. My point is the fighters are truly what brings popularity to the sport as MMA fans. case in point, KIMBO. i mean look at his popularity and it was not caused by any big promotion like the UFC or even ELITE for that matter. Dana White is why MMA is sanctioned and legitimized in as many states as it is. It is why they can hold events in California, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, New York, Ohio, Minnesota and Florida, not to mention England.

I could go on forever with reason’s how Dana has done MMa fan’s good..The list would be too long, because not to mention all the saving the UFC, sanctioning, tv show, other org’s,ect ect…There is always the fights!! the fights we have got to see over the years..Each great fight counts as a reason he has done good, and there is a shit load of great fights he has put on….
I know he has made mistakes, but he can’t please everyone with his decision’s..But he has proved to be successful with his brand, so he must be pleasing the majority…

Dana is an excellent promoter. You can’t please all the people all of the time. My one and only beef with him is that he refuses to ‘work with’ other organisations for the benefit of the fans and MMA. Otherwise he’s class in my book and carries all the weight of being President with style
Even if Dana decided to cross promote, I dont think the other Orgs. would do it anyway. It would be just like the Pride thing: get all the exposure of Wandy vs Liddell and when the UFC said yes lets do it, Pride backed out. If the writer makes defamatory statements in the paper without offering proof or some factual basis, it’s called ‘libel.’ If the writer wants to call Dana a “white Don King” he has the right to do so as long as he uses facts to illustrate some parallels between things Dana has done and things King has done, which he did not.
Dana White has done more for this sport then any other man in the world. He is the main reason MMA exists on the level and has the degree of exceptance that it does today. Granted he is a little in your face and wants an MMA monopoly, but he doesn’t deserve all the crap he gets.
DW is the man! Only thing I’m bummed about as a fan is the UFC not crosspromoting so that we can see everybody fight with everybody (ie: Randy/Fedor, Jake Shields/GSP). But yea.. I could see the business reasoning behind it though. UFC is trying to squash those other orgs right about now and maintain their market dominance… bla bla bla. He dodged that BJ GSP question. I wonder what his real thoughts on that was.
I respect what Dana has done for MMA but sometimes he is full of shit. I agree he isnt the white Don King but when he says “That fucking pisses me off so much” and then goes to “i couldnt care less” you wonder what the fuck he is on.
Him and Tito are too alike. They have done a lot for the sport but they are stil jackasses.
I really enjoyed this. I like how he said they should be focusing on the athletes rather than him.
